Can anyone provide insights into the following statement regarding Islamic teachings? **Statement:** Taking a tax, extra fee, or charge from pilgrims intending to perform the obligatory duty of Hajj is impermissible. *Narrated by Ad-Diyaa with sahih isnaad.* --- In my country, and possibly across the Indian subcontinent, it's common for an ***"Alim"*** to accompany pilgrims. This individual, known as a *Muallim*, helps ensure the pilgrimage is performed correctly by finding mistakes and assisting throughout the process. However, they often charge significantly more than the usual cost. For example, a ***Muallim*** might charge an additional 100,000 BDT per person on top of the usual cost, making the total for a married couple approximately 1.4 to 1.5 million BDT, which is extremely high. My question is: Is this practice halal in Islam? Is it permissible to earn money in this way, which might seem exploitative or fraudulent?

My father was sexually abusive for 7 years and I didn’t even understand as he started when I was ten. I cut him off two years ago and my life has gone really horrible. These tests are not bringing me closer to Allah they are making me loose faith and think about suicide a lot. After brainstorming it’s the only wrong thing I think I could have done to make this test drive me away from Allah. I don’t smoke or drink, I avoid lieing as much as I can and try to be a good person but everything just keeps getting worse. Every thing I beg Allah for hardly ever materialize yet everyone around me seems to be getting those things with ease too.

Why do Sunni Muslims not reach out to the people of Gaza as stated in Quran?
Why do Sunni Muslims not reach out to the people of Gaza as stated in Quran >[26:277][1]: Except those who believe, do good, remember Allah often, and ˹poetically˺ avenge ˹the believers˺ after being wrongfully slandered. The wrongdoers will come to know what ˹evil˺ end they will meet. and >[8:72][2]...
Why do Sunni Muslims not reach out to the people of Gaza as stated in Quran >26:277 : Except those who believe, do good, remember Allah often, and ˹poetically˺ avenge ˹the believers˺ after being wrongfully slandered. The wrongdoers will come to know what ˹evil˺ end they will meet. and >8:72 : Those who believed, emigrated, and strived with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave them shelter and help—they are truly guardians of one another. As for those who believed but did not emigrate, you have no obligations to them until they emigrate. **But if they seek your help ˹against persecution˺ in faith, it is your obligation to help them**, except against people bound with you in a treaty. Allah is All-Seeing of what you do. Islam always invites Muslims to help each other, even in very difficult war conditions. So why do we only see the Shiites of Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen helping the people of Gaza, and we don't see any practical action from the (1.5 billion) Sunni Muslims? Do Sunnis believe that the verses of the Qur'an are abrogated? Even with this view, the Quran has said that Muslims are brothers and sisters. > 49:10 : The believers are but one brotherhood, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy. Or the Qur'an has revealed to us the most hostile of all people towards the faithful i.e. a group of Jews > 5:82 : Surely You will find the most hostile of all people towards the faithful to be the **Jews** and the **polytheists**, and surely you will find the nearest of them in affection to the faithful to be those who say ‘We are Christians.’ That is because there are priests and monks among them, and because they are not arrogant. So, with these clear signs from the Quran, why don't Sunni Muslims do anything against US and Israel? What is the use of Sunni Islam if they do not consider themselves obligated to reach out to their religious brother?

I would like your help in refuting a Christian claim as this has been bugging me for a while now Is the epsilon truly more fitting of the first letter of the word "Allah" (as pronounced in Arabic) when when translated to greek from arabic or would it be an intermediate . Also wouldn't starting with epsilon render the pronunciation of the rest of the word incorrect as in Arabic the second alpha isn't really 'a' it's more of an o and the L's are pronounced differently and the xhi at the end would become silent. I would be grateful if you could respond to this as both Christians and Muslims use this word to refer to God. https://christianforums.net/threads/666-is-allah.102890/

My dad has always been rude to me and called me names, when I was growing up he would always hit me and even call me names… however,he barely does the things he used to do in the past. He just yells! one day he called me a really bad name and was screaming towards me which got me so angry and mad. I may still have a grudge from the past but when he called me that name I swore at him behind his back , but i instantly regret it especially when I approached him and he was being nice like nothing happened. He is known to have anger issues and may be bipolar but I can’t stop thinking about it and feel like crap not knowing how i said these things about my dad. It hurts me even more since I have been trying to search about this topic but every single article states that Allah will forgive only if my dad forgives me. However, I don’t know how I would bring this up and tell him that I cussed him behind his back. There was no one around but my sister since she shares a room with me! Do I have to ask for his forgiveness even though i said it in private? Do I have to tell him the things I said about him or just ask Allah for forgiveness? I’m so ashamed and I keep crying when I think of it. I know I will never do it again inshallah. Please help me this is driving me crazy

Salaam alaikum! **Background:** My whole life is falling apart, long story short I reverted to islam about 4 years ago. About 3 years ago I met my husband, we moved into my husband's auntie's house, however we are being forced to move into downstairs rooms (not sure permenantly) The room is disgusting (mold, cracks on the wall, peeling wallpaper) and freezing cold due to there being patio doors that aren't sealed properly. There is major renovation going on in that house meaning we and our two cats have nowhere to stay. Alhamdulliah that my husband's family are letting us crash at there house but they can't keep our cats as they have a cat breeding business. My non Muslim parents have kept them for 3 days and now are asking us to take them back, nothing can persuade them. No one we know will take them. So now I have to keep them in my house In the kitchen with building work going on. So now everyday I'm going to have to walk 2 miles from my in-laws house to my house, to feed them, play with the and cuddle them. It will be difficult as I'm not mentally too well. **Question:** I am really suffering and I'm in need of Islamic motivation. I'd like to know is there any reward for my efforts in looking after my cats? Perhaps if there was I'd feel better and be more motivated to do it.

Salaam, I have a small issue with the niyat i made a long time ago. Last year i put some outdoor lights in my neighbour to help my community to cross the path at night as it is the shared path by 7 houses. It was so dark that kids cried at night with their parents when they passed through that path. However each house as their own outdoor light which they dont want to turn on. Therefore, my wife asked me to put 5 lights in that path so everyone will feel ok crossing this path and ask me to do niyat as "We are doing it to for good cause and Allah will be happy from us to show light in the darkness". Now i want to take one off from it and want to use it for my home. Can i use it in my house or i shouldnt use it in my house because of niyat? She said you cant use it as I have done niyat in the past. Please help with your knowledge.

Assalamualaikum, I recently heard a sheikh give a speech, he said Prophet (Saw) sent letter to Oman from Amr Ibn al aas, and the two kings: abd and jayfar converted willingly. I have found this to be referenced in Zaad Al maad by Ibn Qayyim. However after this the sheikh said that Amr Ibn al aas also tried to convert their father whose name was "Julanda" and apparently this was the conversation: "The name of the King of Oman was al-Julanda, and news reached him that Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessing be upon him) had invited him to Islam. Upon hearing this he said, "By Allah who has guided me to the unlettered Prophet, if he commands something good, he is the first to do it, and when he forbids something, he is the first to avoid it. When he conquers he is not proud, and when defeated his is not aggrieved. He fulfils a contract and is true to his promise. I bear witness that he is a prophet", and sheikh said he accepted at hands of nabi (saw) according to my research I cannot find anything of Julanda , I only find that his sons (abd and jayfar) converted willingly in many different books, How true is that conversation which I listed above, and if anyone could find reference would be appreciated,
