Is it haram not having your dads last name

I’m a 16 year old girl (turned 16 about a month and a couple of days ago) and about a couple of years ago (1-3) I heard that not having your dads last name was a sin/wrong and that there was a punishment for it/not being able to enter jannah.
For reference I was raised by my mother and my father is not in my life. But he was given a choice when I was born to write his name/last name down by my name but he expressed that he did not want me to have his name. So my mother wrote my uncle’s last name (they are full siblings but my uncle has a different name then his real one his documents) so that if something happened to her I would go to him.
Now the country I live in needs the father’s signature if I want to change my last name to his name (I do believe that only when you’re a minor ) but I do not have contact with him, and have not seen him since my 4th birthday (I can count on 1 hand how many times I have met him (5) ) but when you turn 18 you have the freedom to change your name to whatever you want (though it takes a couple of months). Now we come to what I wanted to ask is it permissible to change my last name to my maternal grandfather’s name and last name (his name is Hassan mohamud). Ps I want reply’s with proof of it being permissible/haram and I would appreciate it if a sheikh or Islamic teacher could answer this since I want an educated opinion.

Is it allowed/well-received to let them participate in the way they are doing it?
If not, should they participate under age when they want and learned to do everything properly (e.g. 8 years old)
Answers according to any fiqh are welcome, Hanafi preferred.

Do I have to sever ties of Kinship with my non Muslim Family?
As-Salamu 'Alaykum brothers, I have a pressing Question to ask in regards to the following verses of the Quran: > "O believers! As-Salamu 'Alaykum brothers,
I have a pressing Question to ask in regards to the following verses of the Quran:
> "O believers! Do not take your parents and siblings as trusted allies if they choose disbelief over belief. And whoever of you does so, they are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers" 9:23
> "And We have commanded people to ˹honour˺ their parents. Their mothers bore them through hardship upon hardship, and their weaning takes two years. So be grateful to Me and your parents. To Me is the final return."31:14
> "But if they pressure you to associate with Me what you have no knowledge of,1 do not obey them. Still keep their company in this world courteously, and follow the way of those who turn to Me ˹in devotion˺. Then to Me you will ˹all˺ return, and then I will inform you of what you used to do." 31:15
There are many other verses too that pertain to this matter. But my situation is that my Father is not a Muslim and he is a civil servant in the Airforce, and my Wife's Father is a polytheist (a Christian) and he works for a defense contractor. Doesn't this mean that I am not allowed to love them? there are so many other verses that talk about this, but I'm also confused because Allah also commands us to love our parents even if they are disbelievers.
Please help me figure this out.

Deceiving family
I wanted to ask if your family continues to lies and deceive you how can the family relationship be maintained. I worry that by not talking to them is a sin. I would love to maintain the relationship but they have lied and have caused my family pain.

Assalamu alaikum, I am a Kuwaiti (Mālikī)who has been hoping to marry this man (he is Iraqi), however when I brought the matter up to my father he rejected the idea right away and got very angry at the suggestion of me marrying an iraqi, his only reason was the fact that he is non-kuwaiti and he does not want me marrying someone who is not Kuwaiti. I have also brought this up to my brothers and uncle however they all rejected the idea and refused to listen due to the same cultural reason. I have read that that is an invalid reason to reject a marriage. No matter how many times I ask or plead them to just meet him they keep rejecting the idea. Me and this brother really want to get married, although I have no committed any haram with him I fear I may in the future and it’s better for both of us to marry ASAP we are both very frustrated right now. And I see no other reason why we cannot get married he is a pious man, very religious and is able to support us, there is no reason why we cannot marry other than cultural differences. Please help us, is there any way possible I can marry him with someone else as my wali?

My father was sexually abusive for 7 years and I didn’t even understand as he started when I was ten. I cut him off two years ago and my life has gone really horrible.
These tests are not bringing me closer to Allah they are making me loose faith and think about suicide a lot.
After brainstorming it’s the only wrong thing I think I could have done to make this test drive me away from Allah.
I don’t smoke or drink, I avoid lieing as much as I can and try to be a good person but everything just keeps getting worse. Every thing I beg Allah for hardly ever materialize yet everyone around me seems to be getting those things with ease too.

a very resonant phenomenon in Russia. How does Islam look at the fact that a girl is running away from her parents (hiding from them in the police icebox), and they are trying to bring her back against her will?

My brother (in his late twenties) recently moved out of my parents house. I (female, in my early twenties) thought this was not a big deal as I thought I could visit him. However my parents said I can’t go to his house on my own until I'm married because it’s not permissible in Islam. When I tell them to elaborate they tell me I won’t understand. I really don’t understand how visiting my own brother isn’t permissible in Islam, if it was a male friend I would totally understand but this is my brother. I don’t think my parents would lie and if they aren’t I need a clear explanation.

Asslamualikum!
I was a finance student back 2 years ago. You know that doing job in a bank is haram as it involves Interest so due to this reason my aim was to do a job in a company as they aren't indulge in interest. But my father wanted me to do a job in a bank as there was a reference. But I refused from day one due to above mentioned reasons. And got a job in a Cargo company as Data entry specialist. My father become unhappy as so my whole family.
Things become more worse when I discover my colleagues having poor and absurd mentality in the company. But still I was happy that I was doing a Halal job.
But after 3 months a rider and then my director sales harassed me. Due to which I got Bipolar mental disorder. And I have to be admitted in hospital for 10 days and left job eventually.
Now I want to ask you is that was a punishment from Allah not obeying my father as I haven't recovered yet. Whenever I find a new job (after that incident) I got fired after some months.
I used to listen that when you avoid haram things and do halal things Allah become happy but I am puzzled on the things happening around me. Please guide me for the sake of Allah I am completely hopeless.
Please reply me it would be a great help.

The problem is far big we don't have job, and all their food is haram and we don't have other options.
Should we starve to death or should eat because there is no way to get halal food?

After months of studying Islam i decided to become the Muslim. My family didn't have any problem with that.I was reading Quran yesterday and i found this ayat
> You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him - those are the party of Allah . Unquestionably, the party of Allah - they are the successful.>
Does this mean i am not allowed to show affection to my mother, father and my sisters?I love them so much.

I am a 26 Male and I live in a country where I want to speak up against the oppression around me but I fear that if I do, mine and my loved ones lives would be endangered.
Therefore, I want to move to a different country and then marry and settle there at least until things get better in my home country.
But my parents don't want to come along with me and leave our home country. They even don't like the idea of me moving abroad myself.
I have one brother who is about the same age as me and also unmarried and we stay with our parents. My parents don't get along well with eachother and therefore often want to keep the two of us around so as to maintain a homely feeling in a not-so-good marriage.
Now my question, is it fine for me to move abroad and then work towards a greater cause of fighting oppression and fixing things while sitting in a country where if I speak up, I couldn't be threatened or kidnapped?
Or should I stay with my parents so that they're pleased with me, but at the cost of keeping my head down and not speaking up against all the injustice around me?
One thing I haven't figured out is that if I move abroad and my parents or brother are still here, there is also an off chance that when they can't reach me, they could possibly use my family here as bait or compensation, and I fear that too.

Sometimes I get bad thoughts in my head about my family members, for example "Wallahi (I swear to Allah) I hope that something bad happens to them." I do not mean anything like this and worry that this might make something horrible happen to them. My question is what should I do to stop these thoughts and whether I need to do something different as I keep saying Wallahi for horrible things in my thoughts.
Thanks so much
May Allah forgive us and guide us on the right path
