Translation: Ibn Jurayj said: "When Ibn Zubayr prayed, he would leave his hands (by his sides) and not place one of them over the other." Please tell me if any of those companions including Abdullah ibn zubayr praying with hands on side is authentic or not. jazakAllahu khayrann

Is it kufr if i don’t pray
Is it considered kufr if I do not pray out of laziness, but I make dua every now and then? Is it kufr or just a major sin?

But I was wondering if I have to learn Arabic to be perceived as a true Muslim to Allah, instead of a hypocrite. Should I just memorize enough Arabic to learn the Qur'an or can I still pray and read the Qur'an in English and that be okay?

Salam everyone, This is a question that has been on my mind for quite a long time. I will present an example so that it makes more logical sense. I know that it is not permissible to disobey my parents unless they command me to do something that's against Islamic teachings. But what about teachings that don't affect Islam, but they do affect me. Like let's say I want to choose an IT field as my profession but my father, due to lack of knowledge, can't accept the fact that IT fields have a scope and orders me to go for medicine. Now I try to explain this, but he won't accept and is stubborn without any logic. This is something that I will have to go through all my life, I'll have to study a field that wasn't my choice, work in it even though I never wanted to. While I will be going through all of this, my father will not be affected in any way. Since this is a case that doesn't affect religion or causes me to go through something haram it is still something that causes me distress and on the other hand the one who had the right to chose this path for me now, plays no part in it. Does Islam really want me to obey my father in this case? Doesn't it give him authority over a thing he doesn't have enough information to make a sane and logical decision?

Is my ablution still valid?
I recently shifted to European country and for my surprise there are no bidet or Muslim showers, so I was told that people use toilet paper. Given that, does one ablution break or does one have to do it again (sometimes your out of house). Is there any fatwa for it about cleanness and ablution?

Can anyone provide insights into the following statement regarding Islamic teachings? **Statement:** Taking a tax, extra fee, or charge from pilgrims intending to perform the obligatory duty of Hajj is impermissible. *Narrated by Ad-Diyaa with sahih isnaad.* --- In my country, and possibly across the Indian subcontinent, it's common for an ***"Alim"*** to accompany pilgrims. This individual, known as a *Muallim*, helps ensure the pilgrimage is performed correctly by finding mistakes and assisting throughout the process. However, they often charge significantly more than the usual cost. For example, a ***Muallim*** might charge an additional 100,000 BDT per person on top of the usual cost, making the total for a married couple approximately 1.4 to 1.5 million BDT, which is extremely high. My question is: Is this practice halal in Islam? Is it permissible to earn money in this way, which might seem exploitative or fraudulent?

If you read the question carefully I ask Intolerance in "Muslims" and not Islam. Islam is one of the most tolerant religions of all, but one thing that's oxymoron is intolerance in Muslim fanatics. I have had a hard time dealing with Muslim clergies and orthodoxy big time. There is aggression and intolerance in them which is hard to counter. I believe this can be one of the seeds of all the ills of Muslim brotherhood that we witness at various places. What is the reason it exists? Why are some of us so intolerant? Is their any historical or contemporary event/events responsible for it?

I hope you have a good day. I recently discovered riba (Gaining money through interest, among others etc ...), but I have two doubts. 1.- A few months ago a friend of mine wanted me to help him in exchange for a payment of € 400, to make the documentation (word presentation to show the client (investor) how the apartment is, among other things), after a few days, I do not know if it was before or after the deal of giving me more money, he sold it and told me that instead of € 400 I will pay you € 1200. But with the situation of COVID his payment has been delayed and he has not yet received it I think it was for bureaucratic issues and now he works in a restaurant and he wants to pay me monthly (Paying me every month a fixed quantity until the reach of the final price 1200€) I had told him that he didn't have to pay I have no problem doing it for free but he wants me to pay. In this case can the money be accepted or not? (I had read that money earned from people’s difficulty or something was not acceptable either from riba and just in case he's not muslim i doubt there's any difference if he was or not but just in case i'll write it). 2.- A friend wants money to be able to go to a place (job interview) and asks me to leave (giving money to him then later on he will return to me the same quantity of money) him money (20 €) and he would return it to me, he also asked me to leave money to pay for a room (75 €) and I gave the money, in these two cases I told him to return the same amount later and I do not know if it is valid to accept this money or not (The friend is the first case and now he is working in that restaurant). The final question is: Is it okay to accept this money for personal use of the two previous cases ? I also ask this because it makes me feel bad as if i'm accepting something that's not good not legal.

I mean from a scholarly perspective, not advocating what proper practice is, but how different contemporary Muslims are from each other, and in what proportions. For example, what estimated percentage of Muslims say they believe the Qur’an is to be observed word for word, vs. those who believe in lenient reinterpretation? (I know one person who has attained some level of position in their mosque, maybe an imam, who said “You have to keep in mind it was written 1000 years ago.”)

I am new to Islam and have been trying to get my wife and I to pray more and better. Seeing as we almost never pray, I decided to make a plan to help us achieve all 5 prayers a day in a way that would teach us habitually and progressively. To start, we will pray at least once a day at Isha for a month. Then add another prayer time for the next month. Than, Do that 3 more times until we are finally doing all 5. Unfortunately, she hates the idea saying, “praying once a day is worse than not praying at all, either we pray all 5 from the beginning or we don’t pray at all” the problem is I know us! I know we will not be able to keep it up and quit very soon after starting. My method would help us gradually cut the times in our schedules to pray every single day without being overwhelmed and stressed. We would be able to ensure each prayer a spot in the day; 1 by 1 until there is no excuse for not praying and also gradually build and habbitualize our prayer times so there is 0 reasons as to why we didn’t pray. I understand praying once a day isn’t good but taking the long way around to ensure and solidify all of the prayers one by one is SO much better than… going in blind getting stressed, not planning, accidentally missing a prayer, getting lazy, forgetting and finding excuses to not pray. Am I wrong? How should we start praying again so that we can keep doing it?
