I am developing an application which allows users to convert from Gregorian to Hijri dates and vice-versa. I am thinking about whether to just have an input box for the date (e.g. 8/21/2021), or to have an additional input box for the time (e.g. 6:00 AM), as I have heard from others that a new day in the Hijri calendar can start in the same day in the Gregorian calendar? Furthermore, does the Islamic Hijri calendar run on a standard 24-hour day just like the Gregorian calendar?

in the quran 7 157, its translated that >“˹They are˺ the ones who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whose description they find in their Torah and the Gospel." What does this mean? cause it appears from the words used in the translation that its talking in present tense but the tawrat and injeel didnt even exist at that point it was corrupted, so is the verse actually talking about when each of these books were around?

I have confusion regarding the claim which made by Jonathan AC Brown in his book about that some scholars, held the view that not just free men but even slaves could have concubines though they can only own if there master permits either by giving his own slave girl or slave can buy slave girl. Here is the source. I came across only an explanation of Al Kafi of Ibn Qudamah by Shaykh Ibn Uthymeen but I got confused about whether it was permissible or not. I don't have a job right now and I am in a relationship with a woman and we both want to get married. Can we get married without telling our families? So that our relationship is confirmed. Assalamu’alikum I’ve searching and watch a ton about this topic but still has not reach conclusion,my question is regarding why the Prophet say about female yellow discharged fluid during wet dream HAVING correlation/contribution with the resemblance of the child. As we know from the science, the woman fluid that DISCHARGE/RELEASED during a wet dream in these hadith HAS NO correlation/contribution! I read about Joshua Little’s thesis on Hadith and the reliability of Hadith especially concerning the issue of the prophets marriage to Aisha. Maybe it was confirmation bias but the idea that the prophet married a child was wrong to me and creates a very bad image of Islam. I wanted to know the truth of the subject and aside from scholars that take everything at face value, some seem to claim that Gregorian calendar wasn’t applicable here and she may have been an adult and so on so forth. I disagree with the orthodox justifications for the prophets marriage to Aisha and I also don’t agree with the Hadith regarding Aisha’s marriage and how the prophet pbuh married a child especially after Joshua’s thesis. Is it haram for me think this way?

Verses 1-3 of Surah At-Tariq talk about a star. He explains that it is a star which is very bright. Nowhere in the above verses it is talking about Pulsars. I checked all the translations of the above three verses and nowhere it is mentioned about the star that resembles pulsars. When I looked more into it, it seems that the word "Tariq" is used to show that it is referring to pulsars as "Tariq" in Arabic means "morning star" or "he who knocks at the door in the morning". Other meanings include "striker", "knocker", "visitor", and "bright star" and people are referring to this particular meaning i.e. "knocker" to link it with Pulsars but it looks like making a vague try to link the Quran with scientific findings by Muslim people. If I go by the definition of this word, "Tariq" also means "morning star" but in the Quran, it's mentioned as "nightly star", then which one is correct? Can someone please explain how people have come to the conclusion that this verse talks about pulsars specifically? Is this true to any extent?

Will my Salah not accepted if I wear a tshirt with an anime character on the back? I want to wear a tshirt with Toji imprinted on the back (Google Toji anime character from jujutsu kaisen) I get inspired by that character to be fit and have a nice physique. However, I'm concerned if my Salah will be accepted if I pray wearing that tshirt.

I made a mistake 2 years ago by getting into a relationship with someone. I said kobul to him 3 times without the permission of my parents. We are not together anymore as I've realised that being in a relationship is very much haraam. I ask for forgiveness all the time. I want to know whether or not we are tied in marriage by saying kobul? My mother found out about the relationship and made me realise that I went astray and did not approve of him.

As per our teachings, I shave my private parts and underarms, and never let the hair grow beyond the size of a rice grain. But my husband, after few years of marriage now, wants to see me hairy on the bed. I think porn movies has impacted his mind. He is insisting me to grow hairy once. What should I do? Follow my core teachings or listen to what my husband wants?

If a person owned a dog before he became Muslim, and the dog used to lick him a lot, and the person doesn't remember all the spots on his body where his dog licked him, is ghusl with the intention to remove dog impurity sufficient to get rid of the impurity, or should he wash his whole body seven times and once with soil? Or could just saying the sahada remove the impurity as it is said that once you said sahada and become Muslim, you start anew?
