Salamun aleikum, I know that there were a meeting with God, before we were on this earth, testifying that only Allah is our God. My question is on this verse. > „They will say, "Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way?"“ (Ghafir, Verse 11, Saheeh International) This verse says we died twice and were given life twice. So we died after this meeting, which I mentioned above, then our mother gave birth, so we are living, but we will die one day and at the end on the Day of Resseruction, we are raised again to life. It would be two and two. But before that meeting, were we not also raised to life, making it three „lifes“ and two „deaths“. Or is there no death between the meeting and our birth, but then it would be one „death“. It would be great, if someone clarifies. Thanks for answers.

Is the Night Comer (Tariq ٱلطَّارِقِ ) in the Quran [86:(1-3)] Referring to Pulsars?
Verses 1-3 of Surah At-Tariq talk about a star. Here's the translation of the verses as per The Clear Quran by Dr. Mustafa Khattab: > 1 By the heaven and the nightly star! > 2 And what will make you realize what the nightly star is? > 3 It is the star of piercing brightness. > > — [At-Tariq 1-3](htt...
> > — [At-Tariq 1-3](https://legacy.quran.com/86/1-3) * **By the heaven and the nightly star!** ==> In this verse, Allah SWT swears in the name of the heavens and a nightly star. * **And what will make you realize what the nightly star is?** ==> In this verse, Allah SWT rhetorically asks Prophet Muhammad what will he know about the nightly star. * **It is the star of piercing brightness.** ==> In this verse, Allah SWT goes on to explain what the nightly star is. He explains that it is a star which is very bright. Nowhere in the above verses it is talking about Pulsars. I checked all the translations of the above three verses and nowhere it is mentioned about the star that resembles pulsars. When I looked more into it, it seems that the word "Tariq" is used to show that it is referring to pulsars as "Tariq" in Arabic means "morning star" or "he who knocks at the door in the morning". Other meanings include "striker", "knocker", "visitor", and "bright star" and people are referring to this particular meaning i.e. "knocker" to link it with Pulsars but it looks like making a vague try to link the Quran with scientific findings by Muslim people. If I go by the definition of this word, "Tariq" also means "morning star" but in the Quran, it's mentioned as "nightly star", then which one is correct? Can someone please explain how people have come to the conclusion that this verse talks about pulsars specifically? Is this true to any extent?

Does کَوکَب mean star or planet in the holy Quran?
In [this][1] Iranian website it is stated that the word کَوکَب means star in the holy Quran: > (فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَیْهِ‌ اللَّیْلُ رَای‌ کَوْکَباً) «چون شب او را فرا گرفت ستاره‌ای دید.» Surat al-An'am, verse 6. Translation of the Persian translation (pardon me please if a little incorrect)...
In this Iranian website it is stated that the word کَوکَب means star in the holy Quran: > (فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَیْهِ‌ اللَّیْلُ رَای‌ کَوْکَباً) «چون شب او را فرا گرفت ستاره‌ای دید.» Surat al-An'am, verse 6. Translation of the Persian translation (pardon me please if a little incorrect): When the night cast on him, he saw a star. But doesn't star translate to نَجم and اَختَر in Arabic? We have also verses that contain نَجم with the meaning of star: > (وَ النَّجْمِ‌ اِذا هَوی‌) قسم به ستاره آن زمان که فرود می آید (Swear to star, when it comes down) Surat al-Najm, verse 1. I also searched for مِرّیخ in Arabic Wikipedia : > المِرِّيخ أو الكوكب الأحمر هو الكوكب الرابع من حيث البعد عن الشمس في النظام الشمسي... Ttanslation: Mars or the red planet is the fourth planet in the aspect of distance from the Sun in the solar system... کَوکَب clearly means planet here. I am confused. Does کَوکَب mean star or planet in the holy Quran? Maybe it meant star at the time of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H)? But there is also a Quran verse (in the surah al-Yusuf) that کَوکَب sounds planet to me in! > اِذ قالَ یوسُفُ لِأبیهِ یا اَبَتی إنّی رَأیتُ اَحَدَ عَشَرَ کَوکَبا وَالشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ رَأیتُهُم لی ساجِدین Translation: When Joseph told his father: "oh father, I saw (in my dream) that eleven planets(?) and the Sun and the Moon were bowing down to me". I can't think کَوکَب means star here! Because the Sun is a star itself and also, it's always the planets that come after the Sun. The verse also calls the Moon.

Understand Verse 2:7 of Quran
The literal translation of the verse https://quran.com/2/7 is > Allah has sealed their hearts, locking inside them their falsehood, > and has placed a seal on their hearing, so that they do not listen to > nor accept the truth. The literal translation of the verse https://quran.com/2/7 is > Allah has sealed their hearts, locking inside them their falsehood, > and has placed a seal on their hearing, so that they do not listen to > nor accept the truth. He has put a cover over their eyes so that they > do not see the truth in its clarity. They will suffer greatly. To whom does this verse refer? A non-Muslim disbeliever or a Muslim disbeliever? If this verse refers to a non-Muslim disbeliever then doesn't this feel unjust? Why will Allah SWT punish someone for not believing and following Islam if He himself made them so? It's like they were stopped from not understanding and following Islam by Allah SWT himself and then in the afterlife, they are being punished for not following Islam. If this verse refers to a Muslim disbeliever, then this should mean that any Muslim disbeliever shouldn't be able to revert back to Islam as Allah would have sealed his/her heart but there are instances where people have reverted back. Please help me understand this verse.

I heard from a muslim that the grammar of this implies that Mohammed is Allah, i.e. that Mohammed will grant forgiveness. Is this true, or is he incorrect? I don't read Arabic. I apologise if this is an offensive question, or it comes from some Islamophobic source originally. I don't frequent such places and have always held Islam in high esteem as a holy, monotheistic religion, which strongly objects to ideas of a corporeal/hypostatic/incarnate God as blasphemous and heretical. Then again, I am largely ignorant of much of the world of Islam so I thought it worth clearing up with Islamic scholars. Thanks for taking the time to answer. God is Great.

I wonder, how many spellings and system of writings do we have for Quran? And I'm only interested in Arabic language. **Update**: Thank you for pointing me to the right direction. Now my question becomes as simple as: **how many rasm-al-mushaf do we have?**

**Opinion** **I believe that Grave Punishment Exist** Some people are looking for that, is there any verse in Quran about of the grave punishment? Some people are disagree about of the grave punishment, also some people asked that to me, there are some difference of opinion also in the Muslim People . **Note** I read those verses (Below) and also some scholars say that those verses indicate/refer to the Grave Punishment and also I read and heard from some people, Who are refer those verse to the grave punishment.. **Question** *What I am looking for?* if I anything I misunderstood please mention and Is there any more verse in The Holy Quran, Which are refer/indicate to The Grave Punishment, please Give it, also I will be happy if anyone provide tefsser for below those verse... **Praise be to Allah & Allah Know the Best & Secret** **First Verse** يُضَـٰعَفۡ لَهُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ وَيَخۡلُدۡ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated From [this link]( https://qurano.com/en/25-al-furqan/verse-69/) many of them translate this word يُضَـٰعَفۡ as Doubled. **Surah Al-Furqan Verse 69 | 25:69 Quran** This verse refers to the grave punishment. (Allah Know the Best & Secret ) what is the meaning of Doubled? Example As : I paid someone 5 dollar for work, when I Hired him second time , I promised that I will pay doubled amount, before what amount I gave In general sense I understood that Allah will give one punishment before on the Day of Resurrection. on the Day of Resurrection, It will double/multiplied **Second Verse** And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become accustomed to hypocrisy. You, [O Muhammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment. **Surah At-Tawba Verse 101 | 09: 101 Quran** [link](https://qurano.com/en/9-at-tawba/verse-101/) in this verse _We will punish them twice_ also indicate/refer to the grave punishment Third Verse “The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped. And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.” - **Surah At-Tur Verse 46-47| 52: 46- 47 Quran** [link](https://qurano.com/en/52-at-tur/verse-46/) [link](https://qurano.com/en/52-at-tur/verse-47/) The term “punishment before that” refers that before the ultimate judgment day disbelievers and wrongdoers will face torment and punishment in their graves. **Fourth Verse** Every soul will taste death. And you will only receive your full reward on the Day of Judgment. Whoever is spared from the Fire and is admitted into Paradise will ˹indeed˺ triumph, whereas the life of this world is no more than the delusion of enjoyment. ***Surah Al-Imaran Verse 185 | 03: 185 Quran*** ``you will only receive your full reward on the Day of Judgment'' also refer to the grave punishment (Allah Know the Best & Secret ) as a Muslim I know that, Sometimes Allah reward people instantly for their good/bad deeds. If not reward instantly, Allah will reward you on the Day of Judgment

enter image description here Assalaam Alaiqum wa Rehmat Allah. May Allah SWT have mercy on all of us I got this necklace from my grandma. Let me summon up the story real quick. My moms sides family is Turkish and as you know the “nazzar” eye which claims to protect you from the evil-eye is Shirk. If I ever got a nazzar eye as a gift I wouldn't have it myself on because I would have known is Shirk. I got this as a gift, she said that she gotten this from Turkiye (don’t know where) and it is a Quran Verse written on a paper rolled up inside this little box or cage, I don’t know the name sorry. Here’s my questions. Can I believe in it to protect me or just having it on? Is it Shirk or any makrooh or a sin to wear it around my neck? If I don’t believe in it and only having it on, is it allowed/acceptable? I’m male so am I even allowed to wear it? I heard that some (fake) sheikhs that give them out for free but there are of names Shaytan written instead. They may even be sold outside from shops. Jazakallah for Reading and May Allah keep us guided to the straight path Amin. Please Write Back

Asksalam wallaikum >˹He is˺ the Originator of the heavens and earth. How could He have children when **He has no consort**? He created all things and has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of everything.(6:101) This verse says that Allah has no son because he has no consort. This verse is implying that Allah can not have a son because he does not have a partner.
But Allah is omnipotent he can do everything . >Commentary by Ibn kathir > >> How can He have children when He has no wife! for the child is the offspring of two compatible spouses. Allah does not have an equal, none of His creatures are similar to Him, for He alone created the entire creation. ------------ **So the question comes if Allah is all powerful then why can't he have a son without a partner? . Because the verse indirectly say that he can not have a son because he does not have a partner**.
