What is the correct way to spell the Prophet's name in English?
What is the correct way to spell the Prophet's name? Muhammad, Mohammad, Muhammed, Mohammed, Mohamed, or Mohumed? Wikipedia spells it Muhammad (so does this site's tag: [tag:prophet-muhammad]), though I'm running into people with variations on the spelling quite often.

Assalamu alaikum.
I'm a **software developer** planning to work on (and possibly co-found) a **Web3-based ticketing platform for sports and music events**. My role is purely technical: building the blockchain/smart contract system for ticket sales, verification, and resale prevention. The platform is neutral and could be used for halal sports events, but users might buy tickets to music concerts or parties, which some views consider haram due to **singing, dancing, or free mixing.**
Am I assisting in **sin** if customers use it for potentially haram activities? Would I be accountable for their sins, or is it their choice? If I become a co-founder, does that change anything? Please provide references from Quran, hadith, or scholars and let me know can i work on this project?. Jazakallah khair.

From my understanding it seems to be a somewhat modern notion that military jihad is only halal when it is in self-defense. I'm wondering if that narrative has any backing in pre-modern fiqh; while it's easy to find opinions that consider jihad for the purpose of conquest to be a communal obligation, I can't find anyone that says that this is haram in principle.
Note that I'm not talking about scholars that say the ummah has to keep the peace treaties it enters into, as the caliph can decide whether or not to conclude such a treaty, making that optional and not a principled stance. I'm asking for legal opinions that conclude that war for purposes other than self-defense is haram in principle.
**Question:** Which pre-modern scholars (say, before the 19th century CE), if any, considered jihad for purposes other than self-defense to be haram in principle?

Does Al-Bukhari 3508 hadith contradicts the Qur'an Honourable?
Sahih Al-Bukhari 3508: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If somebody claims to be the son of any other than his real father knowingly, he but disbelieves in Allah, and if somebody claims to belong to some folk to whom he does not belong, let such a person take his place in the (Hell) Fire." Sahih Al-Bukhari 3508:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If somebody claims to be the son of any other than his real father knowingly, he but disbelieves in Allah, and if somebody claims to belong to some folk to whom he does not belong, let such a person take his place in the (Hell) Fire."
I find the second part problematic:
*"and if somebody claims to belong to some folk to whom he does not belong, let such a person take his place in the (Hell) Fire."*
In the Qur'an Kerim, it states clearly:
**"Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures."**
Qur'an Kerim 17:70
Further a hadith confirms this:
*“Verily, **Allah has removed from you the pride of the time of ignorance, with its boasting of ancestors,** for one can only be a righteous believer or a miserable evildoer. All of the people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust.”*
- Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3955
(Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani.)
According to this Qur'an Kerim Ayah and the Al-Tirmidhi hadith:
You, me, all of us are Children of The Prophet Adam SAWS or 'Children of Adam' which means:
I can clearly claim to be of any ethnicity: Arab, Chinese, Kurdish, Turkish, European, Malawi etc. because **we are all One Tribe.**
And who knows except Allah SWT who was yours or mine ancestor millennia ago.
Also, there is a reason that all of us, Muslims and all others are called Brothers and Sisters in Humanity for a reason.
Most probably our ethnicities changed through ancestry and time.
So,
*"and if somebody claims to belong to some folk to whom he does not belong, let such a person take his place in the (Hell) Fire."*
This part of that first hadith seems problematic since it clearly contradicts Qur'an Honourable in this aspect.
And rejecting Qur'an Kerim is also an Act of Kufr.
Since I'm kind of puzzled with this, could you resolve this question for me.
Thanks and Selam,
Emir

> Inni Wajjhatu Wajhiya Lillazi Fataras Samawati Wal Ardha Hanifaun Wa Maa Ana Minal Mushrikeen.
Translation: "I have made myself attentive towards Him who has created the earth & sky & I surrendered to Him. I am not one of those who associate something with Him."
**Question:** This is done in Hanafi school but I want to know if there's an authentic Hadith.
According to this article ["What Is Namaz"](http://www.islamic-web.com/namaz-salat/what-is-prayer/) it is said **before** the Niyyah. I thought the order was Niyyah, Takbeer, opening du'a (there's a few).

The Qur'an is protected by Allah:
> Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian. -- Qur'an 15:9
This does not say the Arabic language is also protected. Consequently, it seems theoretical possible that, over time, the Arabic language could become extinct (see List of Extinct Languages ), or evolve into a language that cannot be used to read the Qur'an. In fact, I've heard that Qur'anic Arabic is already considerably different from day-to-day Arabic.
However, it seems odd to have a holy and protected book without the means to read and understand it. This suggests that the Arabic language might also be protected.
**Question**: Does Allah also protect the Arabic language?

Did the prophet (PBUH) pay Zakat, if yes in what form?

We were told that the Prophet peace be upon him lived an extremely humble and poor life. He hardly have food at home for the next day. This is what we were told. Now that I have researched, I find that the Prophet could not have been that poor because
1. Quran allowed the Prophet to keep 1/5 of the war booty
2. He had gifted the mount of Fadak to Fatima, which was captured in a battle.
3. He had many wives himself, which would be hardly possible, if he was such a poor man. Each wife lived in a seperate home (AFAIK). Apparently he gave a good amount of Mehr to his wives according to this answer
Now I do understand that there were times when the Prophet did not have enough resources, that was in the early and middle time of Islam. But in the last 3 years of his life or so he must have been well off because he was the ruler, he kept the largest part of war booty and People used to send gifts to him which he would accept.
My question, In what forms did the Prophet pay Zakat. Did he pay it little over the year or at once at the end of year? If he paid it at one time, does it give the estimate of his wealth?
My related question is, why dont we follow the Prophet in Zakat related issue while follow him in every other possible way? Could this be because he never paid Zakat?
While searching online, I cam across this similar question . May be one can highlight the authenticity of that answer as well.

Salam alaikum. I have a question. I know that people who have never heard of Islam, or have only heard about it incorrectly, will be put to the test on the Day of Judgment. My question is this: why does a non-Muslim who perhaps received the message of Islam but did not distance himself from his original religion, but who behaved well in this life, go to hell, while instead perhaps a rapist (for example) who has never heard of Islam will be given a second chance? I know that Allah is merciful and does not commit injustice.
