I know someone who was raised Christian and continues to believe in God, but questions the modern day bible and believes it to have been altered, he also questions the notion of the Trinity, and whether Jesus was simply a human and not is not to be considered the son of God.
My understand is that what defines "Ahlul Kitab" are that they believe in God and believe and follow the guidance of the bible/torah based on them being Christian or Jewish, but in situations where someone questions the modern day version of the bible and believes it to have been altered, is he still considered "Ahlul Kitab"?

According to [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charismatic_movement) :
> The **charismatic movement** is the international trend of historically mainstream Christian congregations adopting beliefs and practices similar to Pentecostalism. Fundamental to the movement is the use of spiritual gifts (charismata).
>
> Among Anglicans, the charismatic movement emerged in 1958; it reached Lutherans and Presbyterians in 1962. Among Roman Catholics, it spread around 1967. Methodists became involved in the charismatic movement in the 1970s.
In my own words, the charismatic movement emphasizes "spiritual gifts" (such as healing, prophecy, speaking in tongues, etc. -- see [1 Corinthians 12](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2012&version=NIV) for a more exhaustive list) and "ecstatic/mystical experiences" (such as the [baptism with the Holy Spirit](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism_with_the_Holy_Spirit)) . In more extreme congregations, people may even display very extreme and odd behaviors, such as [shaking or trembling violently](https://psychology.stackexchange.com/questions/25631/is-there-a-scientific-explanation-for-dramatic-body-shaking-and-trembling-in-rel) , [behaving like animals](https://christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/79576/are-there-any-records-of-animal-like-behaviors-outside-the-toronto-blessing) , etc.
Is there anything like this in Islam?

Is it possible that the resurrection of Isa (as) was a hoax staged by a shaytan (devil) who'd taken on his likeness?
We know from ahadith that shayateen can take on the form of humans including living persons e.g. Surayba ibn Malik.

Was Jesus a Jew at all?

First of all: what I mean here by “Jew” is nationality/race and not religion. The question of whether Jesus was a Jew therefore means whether Jesus was an Israeli, i.e. a descendant of Jacob/Israel. The focus here is not on whether Jesus was a Jew from a religious point of view, i.e. whether he was a follower of Judaism.
Was Jesus a Jew at all? He had no Jewish father, he is not from Jewish sperm. According to the Bible, a child inherits the nationality from the father. Two examples: 1. The wife of Joseph was a Gentile (Egyptian), and with her he made two children, Ephraim and Manasseh. Although their mother was a Gentile, they are still called Israelis because their father was an Israeli. They inherited their father's nationality. 2. Moses allowed the men of Israel to take Gentile women, but he didn't allow them to take Gentile men for Israeli women.
Since Jesus did not come out of Jewish sperm, he can't be a Jew by nationality. It's wrong to say that Jesus was a "half-Jew" because his mother was a Jew. In the Bible, there is no such thing like "half". You are what your father is. If your father is Italian and your mother is Spanish, then you are Italian. You are not half-italian and half-spanish. You are what your father is because out of his sperm you came.
However, if someone wants to claim that the nationality goes from mother to child, then he must agree that Ephraim and Manasseh were not Israelis but Egyptians since their mother was Egyptian. He must also agree that Obed was not an Israeli but a Moabite since his mother Ruth was a Moabite. If he does not agree, then his position is hypocritical.
I have opened this topic in other communities but they have all been closed. I am opening this topic here now because Jesus also plays a major role in Islam and the question of his nationality is certainly not an unimportant issue for Muslims.
Since Jesus has no human father, he cannot biologically belong to any nationality. What does this mean now?

N.b. This question may be practical in some Muslim countries. According to Islam, do they need to let Christians drink wine and eat pig or it's forbidden also for them if we are talking about sharia?

What do muslims believe happened to 'Jesus' after 3 days in the tomb?
In Christianity it's taught that Jesus was resurrected after 3 days in his tomb, which is why his body is no longer there. Although muslims believe that Prophet Esa ascended to heaven and wasn't crucified, what is their view on "Jesus'" body dissaprearing after 3 days in the tomb?

I'm wondering if it's possible for any old building to be converted into a mosque? Could my garage or bedroom or a school hall be converted into a mosque?

I’ve seen some people claim that the Quran says that Christians believe that Jesus is the literal son of god, those people then claim that they don’t believe that he’s the literal son of god, rather that that’s a title and not to be taken literally. This, in their head, means that the Quran is wrong about this
I’ve tried researching this but i don’t fully understand:

Why is the fact that Ibn Umar believing it’s prohibited to Marry a Christian woman not more mainstream?

> Narrated Nafi:
Whenever Ibn `Umar was asked about marrying a Christian lady or a Jewess, he would say: "Allah has made it unlawful for the believers to marry ladies who ascribe partners in worship to Allah, and I do not know of a greater thing, as regards to ascribing partners in worship, etc. to Allah, than that a lady should say that Jesus is her Lord although he is just one of Allah's slaves."
Ibn Umar clearly believed it was prohibited to marry Christian woman due to her shirk.
Before you say the Quran clearly it says it’s allowed to marry Christians so it doesn’t matter it doesn’t.
The Quran uses the term People of the Book loosely.
> “And He brought down those who supported them among the People of the Scripture1 from their fortresses and cast terror into their hearts [so that] a party [i.e., their men] you killed, and you took captive a party [i.e., the women and children].”- Quran 33:26
In this verse of the Quran Allah uses the term people of the book just for the Jews of Banu Qurayza.
So Quran 5:5 can just be talking about Jews and Sabians excluding the Christians.
Why don’t scholars adopt this view?

Is it haram to marry a Christian woman?

Allah says in the Qu'ran:
>الزَّانِي لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً وَالزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَا إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ ۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been made unlawful to the believers.
> [[Verse 24:3](https://quran.com/24/3)]
In [this answer](https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/8622/relationship-and-sex-between-a-muslim-woman-and-non-muslim-man) , user 2350 stated (based on the above verse):
> Basically Muslim are not permitted to marry a polytheist nor an adulterer, otherwise he/she will be considered as the same.
That means that you cannot get married to a polytheist.
Nowadays, most Christians believe in Trinity, which we say is polytheism. **Does that mean marrying Christians is haram even though the Quran allows marriage to Christians?**
*This is not a duplicate of this because the question is about marrying non-chaste people of the book while my question is about marrying any Christian, be she chaste or not.*

I recently reverted to Islam. The girl I'm dating is ok with that. We have talk about marriage and she's Evangelical Christian. I know Islam allows for Muslim men to marry Christian and Jewish women, however it does specifies that they must be "chaste" (as per what the Quran says as I understand). And she's not, she as me was sexually active before we met, and also she was molested as a child thus loosing her virginity in a non-consensual way to begin with.
But I wonder if the chastity part in the Quran refers to the idea they should be virgins before marriage or just that they should be celibate (as for example a rape victim is not virgin but can't be consider that she choose to have sex). Thank you.

Quranism is an Islamic movement that holds the belief that the Quran is the only valid source of religious belief, guidance and law in Islam. Quranists believe that the Quran is clear, complete, and that it can be fully understood without recourse to the hadith and sunnah. My father adheres to the Quranism movement, which rejects the Hadith of the Prophet (pbuh) and does not pray, leading some to label him as a KAAFIR in Islamic tradition, a view with which I concur. My mother remains married to him. Is it necessary for her to seek divorce, and if so, how should I approach discussing this with her?
