Asalamulaykum Warahmatukahi Wabarakatuh!
I sometimes do actions that I am later unsure if they are sins or not, or do a haram action in a way that I do not know if I would be sinful or not (not going into specifics so that my actual question can be resolved).
What I want to know is if I should still do repentance even if I do not know if I’m sinful or not. And if I do, and the thing happens to not be sinful, is there any bad on me or of the like? Is there any good deed I gain?
Yes, I’ve seen https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/73500/what-to-do-when-you-arent-sure-whether-you-committed-a-sin-or-not , but the answer given seems to only relate to evil thoughts that come and go.

are there any other opinions of scholars on this? Does the quran explicitly mention that every legal heir MUST recieve something.
this seems to be a good counter argument, and seems like a just distribution:-

A Christian asked me that why Islam says to execute one who changes his religion. He gave a hadith as reference.
The hadith :
> Narrated Ikrima: Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn

> them, as the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's

So what should be my reply ? What is the explanation and the context of the hadith? What is the logical answer?
We know that in Islam, punishment behind other crimes such as fornication, orders to kill mushrik in Quran etc. has a background, context and logic. So what is the logic, background and context behind this ?
It will be helpful if anyone answer.

What did Imam Shafi'i mean when he said that no one can be compelled into intercourse?
Imam al-Shafi‘i (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his famous book Al-Um: > و قال الامام الشافعي رحمه الله في كتاب "الأم" : وهكذا لو كانت منفردة > به ، أو مع أمة له يطؤها ، أمر بتقوى الله عز وجل ، وألا يضر بها في > الجماع ، ولم يفرض عليه منه شيء بعينه ، إنما يفرض عليه ما لا صلاح لها > إلا به من ن...
Imam al-Shafi‘i (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his famous book Al-Um:
Here’s a precise English translation of the passage from Imam al-Shafi‘i’s Al-Um (Vol. 6, p. 482, Chapter on Khul‘ and Nushuz):
> "And likewise, if she is alone with him, or with a female slave whom
> he has intercourse with, he is commanded to fear Allah Almighty and
> not to harm her in sexual relations. Nothing specific is prescribed
> for him regarding this; rather, what is required of him is what she
> cannot do without—namely, providing her with maintenance,
> accommodation, clothing, and taking her in. As for sexual intercourse,
> it is a matter of pleasure, and no one can be compelled to it."
Is Imam Shafi'i talking about MEN only i.e. intercourse is a matter of pleasure only for MEN and they cannot be compelled to do it? Or is he talked about both MEN and WOMEN (wife and concubine) in general?

How to intepret this Quote from al-Shafi regarding concubines?
I recently came across the following quote from al-Shafi. I recently came across the following quote from al-Shafi.
The gist of it is that he's talking about intercourse with concubines and wives, and at the end he says " فأما الجماع فموضع تلذذ ولا يجبر أحد عليه." (as for intercourse, then it is a place of pleausre, and no one can be forced into it). Doesn't this mean al-Shafi explicitly ruled against unconsentual intercourse with concubines, considering his wording?
Some may argue that he talks about the rights of the wife in the middle, but his wording is deliberately inclusive in the last sentence (i.e he doesn't just say the wife cannot be forced into it), and his logic is that it is supposed to be a place of pleasure which also extends to concubinage. The first sentence also covers scenario with both the concubine and the wife, so we can safely assume he would have clarified if he had meant otherwise, no? He would have said "the right of the wife ensures she cannot be forced ..."
I'm aware of a consensus (although i'm not too sure if it is on this topic) being claimed on something like this but doesn't this discredit it?
Edit: I also came across another interesting quote by him in his al-umm "ولم أعلم دليلاً على إيجاب إنكاح صالحى العبيد والإماء كما وجدت الدلالة على
For those who don't know he's essentially saying that although it's highly recommended for slaves to marry, he's saying that it isn't clear to him that they should be be compelled into it because it's a reccomendation.
I'm not asking about the permisibity of concubinage like the other question, but al-Shafi's view on it, and his legal ruling

Sahl said, "We used to feel happy on Fridays." I asked Sahl, "Why?" He said, "There was an old woman of our acquaintance who used to send somebody to Buda'a (Ibn Maslama said, "Buda'a was a garden of date-palms at Medina). She used to pull out the silq (a kind of vegetable) from its roots and put it in a cooking pot, adding some powdered barley over it (and cook it). After finishing the Jumua (Friday) prayer we used to (pass by her and) greet her, whereupon she would present us with that meal, so we used to feel happy because of that. We used to have neither a midday nap, nor meals, except after the Friday prayer." (See Hadith No. 60, Vol.2 )

All the surahs as you can see are in english only translation, however at the beginning of the book you can still see there is some Arabic. I must mention that it states it can be also used for dawah purposes. Therefore would i need wudu or not?
