I don't wanna spend a school year where it is literally shirk!
I wanna know the answer. Should I take part in any school events, have fun during my school year, wear the assigned shirt color?

Am I still obligated to wear hijab at school when the school forbids it?

As a Muslim girl I know that wearing a hijab (scarf for covering the hair) is compulsory and I do wear it. But wearing the hijab isn't permitted in the school where I study. They also don't allow other students to use things that would reflect their religion, like a Hindu student is not allowed to use a Bindi on his/her forehead. They say that this promotes equality among the students.
Now I am confused what to do. Is it acceptable not to wear hijab at school in this situation?

Assalmualaikum,
I attend an American high school and graduation requirement states we must have 4 years of physical education. I understand the requirement but, I’m a niqabi who practices full hijab, and the uniform for PE exposes the shape and curves of my body. I have reached out for a change in classes or even an alternative. This was rejected and I was told to basically “suck it up” and that this issue was only my discomfort with changing in the locker rooms. I was also told that this was a new problem I was bringing up and that no other Muslim students had complained about it. In this case what can I do?

Playing with dolls and Aisha
In this hadith, Aisha is said to play with dolls: > A'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, narrated that she used to > play with dolls in the presence of the Prophet, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa > sallam, and that her friends also used to play with her. In this hadith, Aisha is said to play with dolls:
> A'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, narrated that she used to
> play with dolls in the presence of the Prophet, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa
> sallam, and that her friends also used to play with her. When the
> Prophet, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, would enter (her dwelling
> place), they used to hide, but the Prophet, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa
> sallam, would call them to join and play with her. (Fath Al-Bari, page
> 143, Vol.13)
According to Al-Khattabi and Ibn Battal, this meant that Aisha didn't hit puberty, since dolls were considered idols:
> Ibn Battaal may Allaah have mercy upon him commented on this hadeeth,
> saying, “The hadeeth indicates that the toys that young girls play
> with are allowed, meaning dolls, which are essentially statues. We do
> not find an interpretation for this concession except that it is
> granted to young children for playing with.” [Sharh Saheeh Al-Bukhari]
>
> Al-Khattabi commented on this hadeeth, saying, ‘It is deduced from
> this hadeeth that playing with dolls is not like the amusement with
> other images concerning which the threat of punishment is mentioned.
> Rather, it was deemed permissible for ʻAa'ishah to play with these
> dolls because she had not yet reached puberty then.’ (Source )
Is this a general rule (playing with dolls is idol worship before puberty)? If so, please name the scholars. I have been told there are other scholars who claim that there was an exception for Aisha. Who are these scholars in question.

I’m unable to find any online schoolsthat offer a degree in dream interpretation or courses to fully learn dream interpretations. Mainly because I don’t really know any Islamic schools. I also don’t know any scholars that do. I know that you must know if the person is engaged in haram and among other things in order to interpret. However I’m interested in dream interpretation and want to earn a degree in this field. I really want to earn something so that I can show my mosques in my area or near my area that I have a degree in this and I’m willing to do this to interpret their dream. Also I want to earn a degree or learn courses related to other things in Islam.

Hey so I have 2 problems:
1.in one of my subjects, we have to organize something for this years halloween and I have to participate too.
We’re gonna go to 3rd graders and teach them halloween vocabulary. And as far as I know, halloween is a shirk/pagan holiday.I am extremely uncomfortable with the whole situation but I’m obviously not allowed to not participate, will I be held accountable for this?
2.in another subject, we’re gonna watch a movie soon and I did some research because I was curious about the content, now I saw that there is gonna be music (obviously) and even shirk in the lyrics. I don’t know what to do since I can’t just stop going to school and my parents wouldn’t allow me to stay home, but if I watch the movie knowing that the songs in it have shirk, will I be held accountable? I would want to stay home for all the lessons that we watch movies but I can’t.

In school, there are uncovered non-mahram female teachers and classmates. In this scenario, with mental strength one might refrain himself from looking at fellow classmates of the opposite gender, but it is impractical for one to not look at the teacher while she is teaching.
Then if one insists on not looking at the teacher he will lag behind severely in education and it also might give rise to embarrassing and awkward situations.

**There is a Netflix documentary explaining the “female orgasm” better in depth but I don't know if it would fall under Zina.** Please do help me may Allah set help all of us and keep us safe ameen.

Ramadan Mubarak
I'm a student who, in less than two weeks will be sitting exams deciding which University I get into/if I get into University. Today is the first day of Ramadan and I have not fasted, and my parents have told me it's fine as fasting can make revising and performing in exams difficult due to lack of nutrients and sleep, however, I'm still unsure on the issue. My last exam is on the day before eid so at this rate I'll have to make all my fasts up at a later date. I'm just wondering what should I do? Do I fast or not fast? Should i try 1 day and see how it goes from there? All answers are appreaciated. :)

I'm a male and have finished Yr11 and my GCSEs and have also been invited to a 'prom'. This event will involve music, dancing and halal food with no alcohol present (since we are only 15-16 yrs old).
All my other Muslim friends are going, and I've already brought my ticket. Also note that I will stay away from girls and definitely will not dance. However, if I attend then I will miss Asr and Maghrib prayers which I planned to make up after by doing Qaza.
Should I still go?

I am a female Muslim and a senior this year. Yesterday was our school prom and I decided to go. I still wore my Hijab and none of my skin was showing. Even though they allowed me to go, my parents have been bothering me about this ever since I came back, telling me that it isn't allowed in Islam. I just don't really understand why it would be, I mean, under certain circumstances, it could be forbidden.
There were no drugs or alcohol at the prom. It was a very formal event, with no inappropriate dancing or music involved. Before being allowed to enter, we had to have our purses searched to ensure that nothing inappropriate was being brought. I also didn't hang out with any of the boys, I went with a few of my girl friends, and only danced with them. Guys did not sit at our table either. Also, not only was our school principal there, but the principals of the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade classes were there too (we have a big school). On top of that, a bunch of teachers were also there, and even a few parents.
So if there was no inappropriate dancing, music, drugs, alcohol, or even guys involved during my night, what was really wrong about it? I still covered up as well.

You may all know from my previous question that I am currently in year 9 now in a top school, and the community around me isn't very Islamic. Yes, there are Muslims here and there, but very few.
I currently have a friend who is a Christian and he isn't exactly a person who does the wrong.
As far as I know he doesn't gamble nor do Haraam acts (except for the eating of ham and the like) and is generally friendly towards Muslims like me and believes that we are peaceful people.
I don't believe I am being influenced by him in religious matters or such at all, we both have similar interests and hobbies, so we hang out quite a lot.
I try to make a good Muslim example in front of him too to show how great Muslims are such as staying away from the bad and being friendly to show that we aren't just warmongering people the media shows us to be and how Muslims can be normal people too.
I am not aiming for a scholar like life.
I am just aiming for a normal life where I can fast, pray, fulfil my duties such as zakah and not get too into politics and things having to do with extremism.
Is this friendship allowed?
As I will be spending the next 4 years of my life here in this school along with these students, and I want to at least have a friend or 2 to chat with and such or this would be the most bland times of my life.
Also, there seems to be another Muslim in my class who seems alone, I am thinking of getting closer to him as he just sits by himself in the corner these days, how should I approach him?
