I try my best to do my prayers on time and would not miss any. Recently, i watched a youtube video by one of the Islamic lecturer from Saudi Arabia , quoting a hadith which i do not have knowledge to authenticate that if someone is not praying or missed prayers becomes KAFER or in the exacted quoted Hadith by Assim Al Hakeem that Muhammad SAW said that the only difference between Muslim and Non-muslim is 5 time prayers. If a Muslim does not pray, then he or she is not Muslim. Can you please shed light on this issue. As i have missed couple of my prayers, does it mean that this mistake of missing prayers expelled me from my religion of islam? or Assim Al Hakeem is quoted not authenticated hadith and his words are nothing but hoax?

**As-salamu alaykum,** When I was 14-years old I wanted to do freelancing work related to programming and web development as I was very interested in that field. I opened up an account on Upwork.com (then oDesk). However, I didn't know that in Upwork Terms of Service they state that in order to open an account on Upwork one must be at least 18-years old. I open up an account without knowing this information. I honestly didn't even know you're supposed to read their Terms of Service before opening an account. Then I worked on a number of different projects and earned quite a lot of money. Now I must mention that I was only paid by my clients to work on their web development projects and the projects themselves were not haram. I created applications and those applications didn't have any haram use or didn't contain anything contrary to the Sharia. I recently realized this and I understood that I made a big mistake. I regretted this decision and repented to Allah. But currently, I really need this money. Now my question is, is the income I earned from freelancing be considered halal? ***In short**, I unknowingly opened up an account but the work I did was halal, so will the income be halal too?* Thank you very much for your answers, Abraar

I am in a dilema. I feel so guilty and hence am seeking guidance here. I want to know what is the perfect definition of ''inanimate'' object according to Allah and Quran and My Prophet (PBUH). I am an animator. I create animation and that is my career. Since I came to know about the famous hadith about drawing living objects and It angers Allah and I will be asked on the judgement Day to give lives to whatever I drew since then I cant sleep. I was a sinner. I didnt pay much attention. But now I regret a lot and destroyed/deleted all my human, animal related animation drawing. And shifted my career into dead object animation, like map animation, chart, fashion desgining, kid's education related animation.... my question is Is a fruit inanimate object? or a leaf? A fruit? River? Sometimes I get offer to animated character of an olive! that Olive character walks, have eyes... etc.. like cartoon. Is that a sin? is that olive considered as an inanimate object? or not? giving it eyes, mouth, ears- etc --all these will anger Allah?? I need authentic reference and anythng that will help me. jajakallahu khairan

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, My name is Rishan Kahar, and I am a Muslim student and developer currently working on an Islamic educational application aimed at helping: Beginner-level Muslims understand what is being recited during Salah (prayer) by displaying real-time silent transcription and translation of the Ayahs on their mobile screen. Non-Arabic speaking Muslims (especially foreigners living in Arab countries) understand the Friday Khutbah (sermon) by providing real-time text transcription and translation into their preferred language, silently, as live on-screen text. The purpose of the app is purely educational and spiritual—to support understanding and connection during worship for new Muslims or learners. My two respectful Fiqh-related questions are: Is it Islamically permissible for a beginner-level Muslim to look at their phone screen during Salah to view silent, real-time text translations of what is being recited (only for learning purposes while they are still memorising and understanding the prayer)? Is it allowed for a person to view silent real-time text translations of the Khutbah on their phone screen while listening attentively, especially when the sermon is in Arabic and the person is not fluent or a non-Arabic speaker? In both cases, the app does not play any audio, and the screen can be dimmed or simplified to avoid distraction. The goal is not to change the structure of Salah or Khutbah but to support understanding for those who are still in the process of learning. I would be grateful for your scholarly guidance to ensure this project remains fully respectful of Islamic teachings and boundaries. Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your time and consideration.

I know that many questions have been asked about marrying spouses that are "believers," but who are not Muslims, and that the Qur'an does make it permissible as long as they are devout believers, etc. **However, I was wondering if a Mormon/LDS woman is considered a "believer."** Mormons do consider themselves Christians, and they are some of the most devout religious people I know. They don't drink alcohol (or even coffee or tea because of the addictive qualities of caffeine), don't have pre-marital sex (they actually follow it), they fast every month, they pay tithes/alms, pray frequently, make covenants with God, dress modestly, place a HUGE emphasis on the family, don't curse, don't watch R-rated movies, read from the scriptures morning and night, constantly serve their communities, etc. She is full of light, hope, faith, purity, integrity, happiness, etc. I found that Mormons had many similarities with Islam, actually. But I wasn't sure if they are considered "believers" by our standards because they don't accept the traditional Christian "Trinity" since they believe God and Christ are separate individuals... so I wasn't sure if that makes them idolaters. I love this woman a lot and she loves me a lot as well. We are both very respectful of each other's religions, and know that we support each other in staying true to our respective faiths. Also, I know that she will help me raise up a righteous family with wholesome and Godly values.

Hadith interpretation on lease of land

I've read a Hadith in sahih Bukhari. Below I am giving a rough translation of it:

Once a person asked our Prophet (PBUH), "We have some spare lands. Can we lease the land to others in exchange for one-third, one-fourth or half of the crops produced in it?" Our Prophet then replied, "One will cultivate his own land, or he will give it to his brother. If he's not agreed to these, he will leave the land uncultivated."

But in our country, a lot of people, holding jobs or being elderly or ignorant of tilling, lease their land to others for half or one-third amount of crops. Furthermore, they're dependent on the harvest. So is it haram for them to do so? Or does the Hadith imply something else?

I'm looking for as correct an explanation as possible. Thanks in advance.

May Allah bless you.

Two types of sanads which Ibn al-Jazarī mentions in his book "Al-Nashr fī al-Qirāāt al-˘Ashr". The sanads of Ibn al-Jazarī which end by the author of a book (Secondary Turuq) are sanads of transmission i.e. he transmits the qirāāt (or knowledge) in the book via that sanad and did not necessarily recite the Qur'an according to what is found in that book whereas a sanad reaching to Rāwī ( such as - Hafs, Ibn Wardān , warsh...) is a sanad in which each link in the chain has read the entire Qur'an to the link above them. My Question is - Is the description I have given above correct & Is it forbidden to Partial recitation (Not a entire Quran recitation) and Ijazah of the rest of the Quran in Nashr.?Please give me a detailed answer.

At one place Allah says, hatred for disbelievers upon whom proof has been established is accepted. You already have an ***excellent example*** in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We totally dissociate ourselves from you and ˹shun˺ whatever ˹idols˺ you worship besides Allah. It was mentioned in a previous post clarifying a report by anas ibn malik ra in sunan al kubra al beyhaqi 2/320 that the slave girls of umar ra were serving with their hair uncovered and hitting their breasts and the confusion arose from the word تَضْرِبُ which was used to denote "strikes or hits" however this narration was reworded to تَضْطَرِبُ which denotes "shakes" changing the meaning to "serving with their hair uncovered and breasts shaking" in Book of Knowledge of Sunnah and Athar 3/146 (4071) authored by beyhaqi as well. Christians call Isa (Jesus) the "Son of God" whereas Muslims consider this to be blasphemy because of these verses: > **4:171** O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. **Exalted is He above having a son**. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs. > > **6:101** [He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. **How could He have a son when He does not have a companion** and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing. --- However both worldviews believe Jesus was born of a virgin and essentially *came from God.* > **3:47** She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah ; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is. They both believe that he was the sinless Savior (messiah) sent as confirming the truth for God. > **3:45** [And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ]. --- So then, *could Muslims consider Jesus a **spiritual** son of God (in the sense that Jesus came from God) in the same way that Christians do? Is there a verse in the Qur'an that would be opposed to this view?* This is the way that Christians view Jesus, as they don't believe that God had literal sex with Mary, but instead placed a son in her womb.
