So, I have met a woman who is a Muslim revert for the last 6 years Alhamdulillah. She is learning a lot. We have met a couple of times (in public, she has no wali as they passed away a long time ago) to get to know one another with all respect in place. I decided to do an Istikihara - well, I asked someone who is more religious and more closer to Allah, who is a trusted Imam. The result came out as negative and I understand that this means Allah basically has something (inshallah) better for me and that this person is not suitable for marriage for me. Whilst I understand it is better to not continue with this potential match, what generally will happen if you ignore the result of Istikihara? I know it would be rendered pointless in the first place but will Allah be displeased with you? I know that the Imam has done it once and said a couple of days later that it came out negative. I do of course trust him but is this enough?

Assalamu aleykum, when breaking our fast we say this duaa : The thirst is gone, and the veins are moistened and the reward is certain InshaAllah. My question is, how do we interpret this since we say it right after we break the fast so our veins don't moisten immediately for instance. So is it more of a description of the process? Any answer would help. Jazakum Allahu khairan.

I was heartbroken over my ex wife. So I profusely cried to Allah and asked to die and go to jahnnam at the expense of her never being with someone. The next day, my health started deteriorating and in my dream/ I was told that this dua has been accepted and it cannot be changed. It’s been 7 months and I don’t know what to do now.

Allah's blessings be upon Muhammad and his holy household.* My question is this, **What is Tamjid, Thana?** In Hadith compilation Al-Kafi, in the book of supplication, our holy Imams teach us to say Tamjid, Hamd, Tasbeeh, Thana, Tahleel before asking something from Allah. Here is a quote from a narration , from words of 6th Imam Jafar As-Sadiq, > قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ > تَدْعُوَ فَمَجِّدِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ احْمَدْهُ وَ سَبِّحْهُ وَ > هَلِّلْهُ وَ أَثْنِ عَلَيْهِ وَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ > آلِهِ ثُمَّ سَلْ تُعْطَ According to the translation the Imam says > Whenever you intend to supplicate, so Glorify Allah [azwj] Mighty and > Majestic and Praise Him [azwj], and Glorify Him [azwj], and Extol Him [azwj], > and Laud upon Him [azwj], and send Blessings upon Muhammad [saww] the > Prophet [saww] and his [saww] Progeny [asws], then ask, you would be Given Hamd is praising Allah. Tasbeeh is extolling Allah. Tahleel is negating all deities except Allah. These ones seem clear to me. But as I am not Arab, and nor do I speak Arabic, I can't understand the terms Tamjid and Thana well. How do we identify whether a speech is Tamjid or Thana? What's their definition and what's the difference between them. I want to know clear definition of these concepts and their differences.

We have a prayer room at work and there i am the only Muslim woman , Am I able to pray earlier before all the men pray? They use it at its designated times and I know it isn’t permissible to pray earlier but in this situation I’m really not sure on what to do. If I go in earlier before all of them and pray is this allowed? Or should I pray my rakat at home for all the prayers I missed? Please advise

How to make dua before tasleem in Salah? In what position should I be to say my dua? Should I raise my hands or should I simply be in a sitting position?

I don't know if this makes sense but: What if I desperately pray and say "*O Allah!*, please make sure that my laptop wasn't hacked at that time (in the past)". As Allah knows everything about our future including our *duas*, therefore, at that time in the past for which I am praying now, He knew that I will make a *dua*, right? Allah is capable of anything and everything. So, can I make *dua* for the past?

As salamualaikum After researching duas for better eyesight I’ve come across a few pages and videos claiming to recite Verse 22 of Surah Qaf then blowing it on your finger an rubing it on your eyes. Somehow that doesn’t really sound authentic/ part of the sunnah to me, which is why it would be helpful if someone of knowledge would help me clarify this matter.

I came across the following dua: اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ، وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ كُلُّهُ، وَلَكَ المُلكُ كُلُّهُ، وَلَكَ الخَلْقُ كُلُّهُ، بِيَدِكَ الخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ الأَمْرُ كُلُّهُ، أَسْأَلُكَ الخَيْرَ كُلَّهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ كُلِّهِ. Some websites attribute it to Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (رضي الله عنه) and say it appears in Musnad Ahmad, while others mention that the hadith is weak because one narrator in the chain is not named. I couldn’t find its exact source (which book, which narration, and the full hadith text) and its authenticity. Can someone provide the precise reference and the scholarly verdict regarding its authenticity?

I was wondering why you have to recite it 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening. Will there be a conflict of interest when you recite others dua that promise the same at the same time in the day? After every salat in masjid, I often see that some people recite something putting their right-hands on their head or forehead and counts in another hand. What is that dua and where they have found it? If it really exists, then what is the benefit of reciting it and how many times should it be recite? Jajakallah.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I am a student preparing for an upcoming medical exam. I have been making duaa since Ramadan that I get a certain score in my medical exam that I knew it is extremely hard for me to get despite my efforts. I have recently changed my duaa to get a perfect score in the exam. This score I knew is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get regardless of my work. So, is it permissible to ask Allah of such duaa or not? I also alhamdulillah, all thanks to Allah I pray at masjid and I do my best in my worship and in my studying but the stimulation exams show results very far from the perfect score I am dreaming of

I have cats in my home, so my question is would cat litter scattered on my floor invalidate my dua/prayer if i make it around that area?

I have a freind who asks Allah to marry him to maryam and Asiyah as in jannah i warned him against it but he insists,i left him because i know Allah out of his limitless grace could grant it to him,whats the ruling on this?

So i have been having bad thoughts about allah since a month now it became worse i started tp think about bad duas for example like (god dont forgive me forever) but i dont want that dua to happen even though its stuck into my mind and i cant stop thinking about it every day i always do bad duas because of my intrusive thoughts i dont want that dua to be granted im scared and i cant control my thoughts i tried to read quran but nothing is working,i always get interrupted by these bad dua thoughts.Will allah accept these bad duas or no because i have intrusive thoughts?

My brother who's been making dua for 10 years, day and night, for a cure and nothing has changed so he said to me he will never make dua again as it's a waste of time. He said "I wasted all that time and tears for nothing...." My question is: Can anyone prove to me dua really works? Because God said call me and I will answer. Islam is confusing and don't tell me there's three ways of answering dua.
