> قال: كان ينقض الإسلام عروة عروة، وقال يعني الثوري: ما ولد في الإسلام مولود أشأم منه.
and
> لا يدخلها الدجال ولا الطاعون، وهو دجال من الدجاجلة
But if I open another digital database (Wikisource ) for the same book, Duafai Sagir (الضعفاء الصغير) from Buhari, the باب النون is shorter, it only goes up until point 384:
Is there more version of the book? Or was it censored because of the severe critic against Imam Abu Hanifa? Can somebody please explain that to me? Which version is accepted by scholars?

I have been told by my Muslim connections that there is a story in the Quran that relates how wicked the Jews are because they would lay traps to trap fish on the Sabbath.
My question is given that the Quran obviously condemns Sabbath desecration by a Jew would it not make sense that a Jew who converts to Islam is still obligated to observe the Sabbath being under the covenant of the Torah which the Quran seems to accept was, at least in its original form, of divine origin?
To my horror when I asked this question to my Yemenite Arabic teacher he answered that a Jew that converts should not continue to observe the Sabbath. Surely he is mistaken? Did Islam come to change the Torah? Surely that cannot be the official position of Islamic scholarship?

Assalamu Alaikum,
I do software development and I like to share the knowledge with people to help them learn and unblock them when they are blocked. In this logic, I have recorded multiple YouTube videos sharing my knowledge and teaching people how to code and how to develop software programs.
When I shared the videos, my intention, wa Allahu aalam, was to share knowledge and to help people.
My questions are as follows:
1. Are those videos teaching people software considered as sadaqah Jarya?
2. Should I renew my intention for those videos to make it intended as a sadaqah?
Jazakum Allahu khairan,
Assalamu Alaikum,
Salam

After months of studying Islam i decided to become the Muslim. My family didn't have any problem with that.I was reading Quran yesterday and i found this ayat
> You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him - those are the party of Allah . Unquestionably, the party of Allah - they are the successful.>
Does this mean i am not allowed to show affection to my mother, father and my sisters?I love them so much.

I have not been able to obtain any information about him. According to the length of the chains, he must have lived in the 2nd generation after Muhammad ﷺ, probably at the same time as his well-known homologue Malik ibn Dinar al-Basri (whom Ibn Hanbal also quotes, with distinguishable chains, so that it can be excluded that they are identical). He may be counted among the tabiun.
Does anyone know details of his life, knowledge and relationships?

I am a 26 Male and I live in a country where I want to speak up against the oppression around me but I fear that if I do, mine and my loved ones lives would be endangered.
Therefore, I want to move to a different country and then marry and settle there at least until things get better in my home country.
But my parents don't want to come along with me and leave our home country. They even don't like the idea of me moving abroad myself.
I have one brother who is about the same age as me and also unmarried and we stay with our parents. My parents don't get along well with eachother and therefore often want to keep the two of us around so as to maintain a homely feeling in a not-so-good marriage.
Now my question, is it fine for me to move abroad and then work towards a greater cause of fighting oppression and fixing things while sitting in a country where if I speak up, I couldn't be threatened or kidnapped?
Or should I stay with my parents so that they're pleased with me, but at the cost of keeping my head down and not speaking up against all the injustice around me?
One thing I haven't figured out is that if I move abroad and my parents or brother are still here, there is also an off chance that when they can't reach me, they could possibly use my family here as bait or compensation, and I fear that too.

I was recently given a video where a sheikh says that whoever visualizes an image while reciting IYYAKA NA'BUDU WA IYYYAKA NASTAEEN, then he worships that image that he visualized in his head. I am very much tormented because of this. All kinds of images appear in my mind even when I am just washing dishes. I don't believe in them, and I say that Allah is not like anyone or anything. I am afraid to perform prayer because I am afraid of committing shirk because of these thoughts. What should I do in this situation?

I sporadically encounter "Islamic dream interpretation", e.g., there are tools online such as MyIslamicDream.com , eDreamInterpretation.com , Islamic-Dreams-Interpretation.com and more can be found using Google.
This surprises me, as (a) there seems to minimal difference between engaging in dream interpretation and engaging in fortune telling, (b) dream interpretation is not haram , and (c) fortune telling is a sin (listed as a major sin by al-Dhahabi ):
> Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected." -- Qur'an 27:65
>
> [He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone. -- Qur'an 72:26
>
> "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever... goes to a fortuneteller and believes what he says, he has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad.'" (sunnah.com )
Islam Q&A even likened fortune telling to shirk.
**Question**: How does dream interpretation distinguish itself from fortune telling?

I understand that this is because men are obliged to protect women. However in today's society women can go out without needing protection, especially at times of day light. Also what if the men are at work and the female needs to go out for something?

As a new Muslim, I'm encouraged to seek good company:
> One of the best ways that the Muslim can preserve and safeguard their religion is that **they be selective of who they take as friends and company**. ... **This is especially important to those Muslims who have recently embraced Islam... They may have many habits... which are regarded as sins in Islam, and they need good company to help them in their struggle to put them aside.** (NewMuslims.com )
Alhamdulillah , I am fortunate enough to have met such a person. However, I have a concern: while she is devout and educated, and thus is good company for me to keep, I'm worried that I might not be the best company for her to keep.
**Question**: When seeking good company, need I be concerned that I'm bad company for others?
The article continues...
> It is not enough, however, that you befriend just any Muslim either. Rather, you should seek pious knowledgeable Muslims who themselves are trying their utmost to adhere to the tenets of the religion. You may see many Muslims falling short in fulfilling the obligations and refraining from the prohibitions of the religion.
And it wouldn't be too inaccurate to say I'm the "falling short" kind of Muslim. Maybe I'm the one who should be avoided.

I hope you have a good day.
I recently discovered riba (Gaining money through interest, among others etc ...), but I have two doubts.
1.- A few months ago a friend of mine wanted me to help him in exchange for a payment of € 400, to make the documentation (word presentation to show the client (investor) how the apartment is, among other things), after a few days, I do not know if it was before or after the deal of giving me more money, he sold it and told me that instead of € 400 I will pay you € 1200. But with the situation of COVID his payment has been delayed and he has not yet received it I think it was for bureaucratic issues and now he works in a restaurant and he wants to pay me monthly (Paying me every month a fixed quantity until the reach of the final price 1200€) I had told him that he didn't have to pay I have no problem doing it for free but he wants me to pay. In this case can the money be accepted or not? (I had read that money earned from people’s difficulty or something was not acceptable either from riba and just in case he's not muslim i doubt there's any difference if he was or not but just in case i'll write it).
2.- A friend wants money to be able to go to a place (job interview) and asks me to leave (giving money to him then later on he will return to me the same quantity of money) him money (20 €) and he would return it to me, he also asked me to leave money to pay for a room (75 €) and I gave the money, in these two cases I told him to return the same amount later and I do not know if it is valid to accept this money or not (The friend is the first case and now he is working in that restaurant).
The final question is: Is it okay to accept this money for personal use of the two previous cases ? I also ask this because it makes me feel bad as if i'm accepting something that's not good not legal.

> And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.
