Actually I am a little confused I hope someone can assist me. I want to pray Tahajjud but I am confused about the timings. I usually pray Isha after I come home at around 12 Am and I usually go sleep at 2 or 2:30 am. Now I also have to wake up at 5 am for Fajr. So i want to ask can I pray Tahajjud at 2 am when I am about to sleep? Because if i go to sleep at 2 am then it won't be possible for me to wake up again at 3 am to pray Tahajjud. So can I pray Tahajjud at 2 am? Fajr time in my city starts at around 4:20 am.

One question always bothers me about tahajjud . I hope some one can help me with it. A hadith says:

But Allah swt is all above the universe. So is Allah swt in the lowest heaven all the time? Hope my question is not so stupid. :)

Can I pray Salat ul-Layl once Faj'r time starts?
The **timing of Faj'r here starts from 4:25.The Athan in my area for Faj'r is at 4:45** The **Jama'ah is currently at 5:10.** I wake up at 4:00 and generally take about 15 minutes more or less (actually not less, always more ;_;) to get up, make wudu, clean up, brush my teeth and stuff. **I pray Tah...

Since 5 minutes is not enough to complete my Salat ul-Layl, I have to pray it within the Faj'r time.** And then go to the Masjid at 4:55 and pray my Sunnah and Fard prayer of Faj'r there. **Is it okay to do so, I mean can I pray Salat ul-Layl if the Faj'r time starts?**
I have read some hadiths and came to know that Salat ul-Layl can be prayed at any time of the night until dawn. It is best to pray in the last third of the night. The start of Faj'r time doesn't indicate the dawn though, right? I am a bit confused whether it is valid or not. Can anyone clarify me on this issue?

**What manner should the Wit'r prayer be prayed in:**

or
2 Rak'ah - (without sitting + no tasleem) - 1 Rak'ah?

I never prayed Tahajjud before. Now I have found out about its importance and reward. But I am having some misunderstanding regarding how to pray it. Let me explain with real example.
I was praying like this (When I didn't pray Tahajjud):
**Isha** (for example at 18:30)
- 4 rakats Fard
- 2 rakats Sunnah
- 3 rakats Witr
**Fajr** (for example at 6:40)
- 2 rakats Sunnah
- 2 rakats Fard
-------------------------------------------------
And Yestersay I prayed like this:
**Isha** (18:30)
- 4 rakats Fard
- 2 rakats Sunnah
- 3 rakats Witr
**Tahajjud** (at 2:00)
- 20 rakats
**Fajr** (at 6:40)
- 2 rakats Sunnah
- 2 rakats Fard

**But**
Today I read that after Tahajjud I must pray **Witr**. Which Witr is referred here is confusing me. The one I was praying in Isha or **is it a separate Witr**?
**For Allah's sake, can anyone help me to understand how to pray Tahajjud and what kind of Witr I must pray in the end?**
**Additionally, the sources about Tahajjud are saying that Quran must be recited as well, as much as possible. Please, tell me where I must read Quran?**

My understanding of tahajjud is that it is the (nafal) prayer that is prayed after one sleeps and awakes for the purpose of prayer:

and it is also recommended to do this in the last third of the night, so before Fajr prayers.
But recently with the summers timings her in UK it has become really difficult, as the isha prayer time starts at around 11:15 and the Fajr time starts at around 2:30, and this gap will further decrease as summer arrives.
I have found it very difficult to sleep for an hour after a full day of work and then wake up for tahajjud.
During such conditions can one pray tahajjud with isha? or not sleep at all and pray till fajr and then sleep?
Some guidance on this would really be appreciated.

**Now how can i do that as according to another information we should pray witr after tahajjud.**
*Isn't my witr would be makruh(disliked act)!!*

I had promised my self that i would offer tahajjud prayer every night. I was continuing this for 6 days but today when alarm rang i thought to take a nap for just 5 minutes. Normally i pray tahajjud before 1and half hour of athan of fajr. When i woke up it was the time of fajr just before 2 mins of athan. Now i feel very sad for it as my witr prayer also got qadha. I was unable to maintain my intention.
**Can i pray the qadha namaz of today's tahajjud ?**
I guess it would not be tahajjud then.
Is there a way to fulfill ?
At last i think shaitan made me do that so tell me someways to ensure completion what i have intended without any risk of getting slept again sowewhat like dua.
