I had a quarrel with my friend. But, as I had a habbit of greeting her by saying Salaam. So, I did that. But she even after hearing me did not replied me back. I felt very bad. So, are there any rulings in Islam when someone ignores your Salaam?

Assalamu alaikum,
In the course of my readings, I have often wondered whether, nowadays, there are still areas of the Muslim world (whether in the Gulf or the Maghreb etc) where people still actually own Shar'i slaves unofficially, and also whether it is still possible to procure them.
Obviously I'm not talking about modern slaves such as migrants and forced laborers where this does not at all respect fiqh and Shar'ia related to slavery.
Barak Allahu fikoum for your answers.

It is narrated:
>The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who never sinned.” And the one who did not sin cannot be punished.
Does this mean that if someone is found guilty of murder or rape, but he repents prior to the trial, he can be let off without any form of discretionary punishment? What if it so happens that the forgiveness prior to the trial was completely insincere or worse yet, there is a great chance that person may commit the crime again?

I am a 34 years old unmarried woman with no fall-backs/backups in life. To cut a long story short, my career is also almost in a dumpster. It is sheerly the mercy of Allah that He is keeping me afloat, alhamdoliAllah.
So I do feel a lot of anxiety about things. It's a continuous battle where fears and negative thoughts come in my mind, and I consciously tell myself (of course alhamdoliAllah) that Allah is so merciful that He will definitely take care of my and unfold the best plan for me, just like He has taken care of me so far.
When I meet people for a few minutes or hours in social gatherings, they give me a lot of unsolicited and superficial advise (which is not even intended at suggesting a solution for the challenges I face, but it is rather talk for the sake of talk), without thinking that if I could solve my problems, I would have done that.
My question is that is it OK if I keep telling the people that I have put my trust in Allah and Allah will make the best way out for me, I am sure of it (while in reality I do face anxiety related to these matters)?

I had an argument with a friend who wanted me to logically or with a reference tell him, that if Allah has decided everything for us. E.g, if I pick a glass and put it at another place, if that is decided (as Qur'an says, that our life has been written), then where is the free will because our fate has been decided, i.e., if Allah has given us free will, then how can we say that everything we do in life is already written?
In the same context, why do we have angels on our shoulders writing down every thing wrong and good, if Allah knows our intention and already decided our fate even before we were born
Is there any reference or Ayah or Hadith regarding it?

In Sahih Muslim 1676a, it says
> 'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
It is not permissible to take the life of a Muslim who bears testimony (to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah, but in one of the three cases: the married adulterer, a life for life, and the deserter of his Din (Islam), abandoning the community.
This means a Muslim can only be killed for three reasons
1) adultery
2) murder
3) apostasy
Howeve in Sunan an Nasa’i 5661 it says
> It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar and a number of the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ said
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever drinks Khamr, whip him; then if he drinks (again), whip him; then if he drinks (again), whip him; then if he drinks (again), kill him.'"
Isn’t that a contradiction?

Can i get married without my dads consent
I don’t have any issues with my dad, i want him to be there and all that but I don’t want his consent to get married, or any man’s. I find it incredibly misogynistic, my consent is the only consent that matters. So when i get married can i do it without my father’s or any man’s consent.
