Okay, so I was about to learn a new computer tool which might be one of the major things I would be working on in my future career course. The name of the tool is _**"PIG"**_. [What is Pig?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_(programming_tool))
As I was just preparing to start up this morning a thought stormed my mind raising the question if I am pushing any Islamic boundaries by taking up this tool named _**"PIG"**_. Am I in the wrong somehow?
Anybody who can clarify regarding this point!
I am aware of the pig eatery rules in Islam but want to know regarding this particular situation.

Asalaam alaikum,
I went to Subway today and got a Steak and spicy chorizo sandwich. I was recommended it by a muslim friend, and when i asked him if spicy chorizo was halal, he said it was just meat.
However, once I got back to my desk and had a bite, I quickly googled it - just to double check and to my surprise, I learnt spicy chorizo is actually pork..
I then removed the spicy chorizo and carried on eating half of the sandwhich, but then I thought this is wrong and now feel extremely guilty. You surely still can't eat something which had pork in it before?
My two questions for the forum:
1.) Are you able to eat food which had pork in it (pork was removed).
2.) what do I have to do to in order to attempt to gain forgiveness for eating pork?
Thanks for your time, I look forward to hearing from you.

Why is pork more strictly haram than blood?
Pork (pig meat) is forbidden as many times in the Quran as blood is (2:173, 5:3, 6:145, 16:115). Under that, I'd assume that blood is just as forbidden as pork. However, Muslims are very picky about whether food contains traces of pig DNA or pig hairs (which is not explicitly forbidden in the Quran)...

However, Muslims are very picky about whether food contains traces of pig DNA or pig hairs (which is not explicitly forbidden in the Quran). They are not as picky with something such as blood, even though quite a lot of blood is commonly found in halal food.
Why is this? Is there a hadith that emphasizes how forbidden pork is? Is there something detailing that blood is allowed in smaller quantities?

Is it permissible to take a supplement that contains an ingredient derived from pork? Even if it’s needed as part of a treatment process?
I want to take an HCL and digestive enzymes supplement that contain pepsin. From what I read, pepsin is needed to restore HCL acid in the stomach but it's derived from a pig's liver. It helps with digesting protein, what does Islam say about that?
I originally used the supplement without knowing that pepsin was derived from a pig. I was able to eat eggs and anything without getting stomach ache and brain fog. After I found out it comes from pig, I stopped the supplement and found one that is derived from plants. The only problem is that I don't feel as good as the animal based enzymes. I still get brain fog and its preventing me from studying and this is my last semester in school. I honestly doesn't know what to do now. I can try other supplements but it would take time and money and I don't have both.
Is it halal to continue with a supplement that contains pepsin from a pig until I heal my stomach or is it haram?

Salam alaikum, I had a question in regards to pork. Awhile ago I came across a homeless woman and I told her since I don’t give homeless people money I can buy her food instead and as it were we were standing next to a Lidl. I told her she can pick out couple of items and she picked up chicken, potatoes and other items. She also picked up ham and at that time my brain did register that it was haram but I was preoccupied and it didn’t occur to me that I shouldn’t be paying for pork. I think my brain would’ve alerted me to any alcohol but it just dismissed the chicken and ham until I was thinking about it afterwards. So my question is did I bring sin upon myself whilst I was trying to do an act of charity. Would that act even count? Thank you.

Is it haram to touch a pig , to smell it, or to go even near it?

I know that it's verily haram to eat pork or anything that is derived from pig, but what about touching something that may possibly be derived from a part of a pig and sometimes you just cannot avoid these because you didn't know? For example if a hat I'm wearing is made of something that is derived from pig (other than the hair of the pig), and pig is considered as somewhat najis (impure), then is it not sufficient for me to just cleanse myself by taking a bath?
Or if I use a carbonless paper that contains gelatin that is derived from pig, is it haram to use the paper as a means of something other than eating? Just for writing for example yet it has to touch the skin in order for me to write.
Even worse, is it haram if I use a soap bar containing a chemical that is derived from pig for bathing?
But non of those things I eat. Even if it did entered my mouth it was involuntary and how would I know that a small amount of the derived pig content has actually entered my mouth or not? How would I know if the producer of the product is telling the truth or not about its content? How would I know if the Halal Agency that gave the accreditation did not miss anything 100% at all? They are all human after all.
If the meat of swine is impure and anything that touches the meat (pig skin) is also impure, then logically thinking the air that surrounds the swine also becomes impure because it has touched its skin ? impurity after impurity, if that makes any sense? Don't you know that pigs can pass the wind too? Can you say that touching its skin is haram and smelling its fart is ok? Or even smelling its meat, is it ok?
So is it haram to even go near a pig/swine? Is it forbidden to live in an area that is near a swine? Is it forbidden to live in a planet that has swine in it? Just to what extent did the Prophet asked us to avoid it? Are we really going in the right direction with these questions? Then can you guarantee that the air that you breathe there is in fact.... Halal? You would then have to spend all day long just to verify every volume of air you breath does not contain the fart of pork without any time to do anything else. I don't believe Islam is supposed to make your daily obligations that difficult for you even if your intention was to perfect your deen. I never heard of the Prophet SAW doing that which I had described. But I could be wrong.
Otherwise, I think you would be dead.... if you are forbidden to inhale air that is not guaranteed..... Halal.
Btw how did the Prophet SAW and His Companions verify that the food that they ate given from other people does not contain any "piggy" stuff without the DNA Technology that we are given today? Because as you know rejecting the food given while you are invited to dinner would be considered very rude to the host. Just because you were unsure if it is halal or not while the host insisted that it doesn't contain any haram food.
The real Question is, did the Prophet SAW ever recommends to check EVERY SINGLE TIME at EVERY SINGLE OCCASION for possibility of pig derived ingredients in a food or Drink? If Yes, How did he recommend to do it? do you think that just by asking the company/person that made the food/drink, will guarantee that none of its content is derived from pig? Do you think that just because it is labeled halal it is a guarantee that nothing in it is derived from pork? Even those agencies can be wrong sometimes you know. Then if your not 100% sure that it doesn't contain anything derived from pork then shouldn't you avoid it anyway? and was it for foods only that he recommended to do so or is it also for other stuffs beside foods and drinks?

Eating pork intentionally
May Allah forgive me for this but I cant sleep. I was in a ramen place with my friend and I was really curious about the broth taste and it was pork broth and I sipped it n then spit it out. I’m so ashamed that I let myself get weak over this. Will Allah forgive me and will my prayers be accepted?

Are Muslims allowed to eat boars?
It is clear that it is haram to eat pork. However, is it permissible to eat [wild boars][1] or to use products derived from them (boar bristle brushes)? Allah sais that eating beef is allowed, and eating swine is forbidden. I have studied the medical science of beef and swine, and I found that 10 times more people die of cow tuberculosis and other beef-related problems than from pork.
Only 1 person dies from pig meat infection every 10 years in Europe, and hundreds die from beef tuberculosis and E-coli.
It says that 5 million people die every year from smoking, 3 million die from being fat, 3 million people die from animal fat from eating beef, pork, lamb and birds, 2 million die from sexually transmitted diseases, 2 million die from alcohol, 1 million babies die from lack of breast milk, 1 million people die because they are missing fruit and healthy food, but only 2 people in rich countries die every 10 years from eating pork, and 100ds die every year from beef, because beef can carry E-Coli bacteria and tuberculosis. Worldwide, 20,000 people die every year from eating meat, but only 50-150 people die from eating pork.
Why does Allah say that pork is forbidden, and it is Ok to eat animal fat and beef, if pork kills a thousand times less people than animal fat, and less than beef?

Are muslims allowed to eat pork and other forbidden food when imprisoned, during starvation and other exceptional circumstances?
Someone told me that the Quran explicitly allows muslims to eat otherwise banned food when imprisoned, during starvation and similar. It makes sense but I would like a source for it.

I am an international Master's student in San Francisco, an expensive city. My visa doesn't allow me to work, at least legally, so I was looking for a job "under the table". I found a job for delivery food via the DoorDash app (via my friend's account).
Some orders include alcohol, which I never accept.
Other orders include pork ingredients, but I'm struggling to decline so many, as this could result of the closure of my account.
Under these circumstances, am I allowed to deliver this kind of products under the exception that it's a necessity?

It seems wasteful to just throw it away and buy another dish and it would be rude to just throw a meal away that I just asked for and someone just cooked.
On Reddit , people seemed to think it was haram to do so, but it was uncertain.
