Can Islam be proven to any human being using logic only?

It is well-known that most religious people are having a happy life, and I wish to have one too, but which religion is the most logical? or is Islam the absolute truth?

I live in Portugal. Here are some supermarket chains such as "Continente", "Pingo Doce" etc. They sell their own brand foods and also other brands' foods. For instance: Continente sells vegetable salads, vegetable sandwich, vegetable soups etc. They do NOT have "suitable for vegetarians" label. Their ingredient lists don't seem to have any animal-derived or Haram ingredients. But I have a concern. Do I need to know, whether there is any **cross-contact** (or cross-contamination) between vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods in the Continente food factories? What usually happens in these kind of factories?

Is it Haram to write bad words?
I am writing a story and want to portray one of the characters as harmful and abusive. I was wondering if I am allowed to have him use vulgar words because it is not me saying it, it is him.

I've read a few articles with statement of ibn Taymiyyah pointing at a further sects of creed beside the Salafi, Ash'ary and Maturidi which claim to be part of ahl as-Sunna wal Jama'a (or at least derived from them) against the Mu'tazilah. One among these is the sect of al-Kullabiyah -in reference to the sunni theologian ibn Kullaab ابن كُلاَّب
One may read for example in Maju' al-Fatawa مجموع الفتاوى (when talking about Allah's speech and the qur'an after explaining the view and interpretation of ibn al-Kullab on whether or not the qur'an is the word of Allah) explaining how a group that partially agreed with ibn Kullaab acted in some disputes:
In the following I'm translating from Arabic language, as these translations are of my own take them carefully.
These words became a composite of the words Mu'tazila and telling **Al-Kullabiyah** if they dispute with the Mu'tazila that the Qur'an is the word of Allah and was not created. They would use for this dispute the way of **ibn Kullaab** and if they dispute with **al-Kullabiyah** on the subject that the Arabic Q'uran is the word of Allah and the Qur'an, which Muslims read is the word of Allah they would use arguments of al-Mu'tazila.

As I've never heard about this sect before I'd be happy if somebody could shed some light on it, its major principals, creed and history.
At least it seem to me that this sect does no more exist.
Ibn Taymiyyah in fact also quoted much more sects that I've never heard about.

Islamic basis for Deteuronomy 18:15-20 allowing an Ishmaelite prophet fulfillment?
The Quran suggests Muhammad is written about in what we have of the Torah and the Injeel in Quran 7:157 and other verses and hadiths. >Quran 7:157 "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel..." The Quran suggests Muhammad is written about in what we have of the Torah and the Injeel in Quran 7:157 and other verses and hadiths.
>Quran 7:157 "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel..."
One of the prooftexts often provided is Deuteronomy 18:15-20.
>Deuteronomy 18:15-20 [Moses speaking to the Israelites]15 The Lord your God will **raise up for you a prophet like me from among your midst, from your brothers.** You must listen to him. 16 For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.”
>
>17 The Lord said to me [Moses]: “What they say is good. 18 **I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers,** and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. 19 I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name. 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”
**What is the Islamic basis for understanding that a prophet "among your midst, among your brothers" could include the Ishmaelites as a possibility that would fulfill these verses?**
An answer much more thorough than "because it doesn't exclude them explicitly" would be appreciated, as this is counter-intuitive. Additionally, the following data should be taken into consideration:
In the same speech of Moses speaking to the Israelites, "brothers" seems to be more definitely restricted to Israelites (Deuteronomy 18:1-2), as the "brothers" have an inheritance, yet the Ishmaelites have no mention of an "inheritance" in Scripture. Again, in Deuteronomy 17:14-15, "brothers" are only part of those entering the Promised Land, the "land that God is giving you," which the Ishmaelites had no place in. The Ishmaelites were geographically quite separated from the Israelite location, so "among your midst" additionally appears to, on the surface, restrict this prophet to be an Israelite. Finally, "brothers" as a familial term seems to also restrict the prophet to be an Israelite. The Israelites and Ishmaelites, at this point, had already been separated in geography and genealogy for over 400 years; while it may seem reasonable to apply the phrase to relatively close genealogical members (though this distance isn't applied in chapters 17-18 mentioned previously), it seems highly unusual to use this term for those separated by such a great blood-relationship distance, many generations ago.
So, really, to answer the main question as well as to address the all the data necessary, sub-questions would have to be answered (or counter-examples given):
- **What good reason do Muslims propose is there to change the scope of the phrase "brothers" to include the Ishmaelites when it is previously restricted to Israelites in 17:14-15 and 18:1-2?**
- **What good reason do Muslims propose is there for "among your midst" to apply to a people group that seems to be not "among your midst"?** (e.g. are there counter-examples in the Tanakh where "among your midst" also applies to two things geographically separated by many miles?)
**I would really appreciate direction toward any Muslim scholarly literature that exists on the subject as well as any Muslim scholars familiar with Biblical Hebrew.** A discussion of the use of the term "brothers" and "among your midst" specifically in the Tanakh seems warranted. I recall "brothers" is used at some point in Scripture, though not in the same context, of Esau's descendants, which would still be Isaac's descendant. I welcome answers that dispute with any of the claims throughout this question. Let's leave the proposed corruption of the Bible out of the scope of this question.

I view them like bed time stories and lores and stuff, I obviously don't take them seriously nor do I believe them, but they're hella entertaining. Is it haram nevertheless to watch them?

What is the ruling on the one who finds entertainment in TV shows or comic books that depict humans with abnormal abilities like resurrecting the dead? For example, one sees this action and says to themselves "this is pretty cool, I wish Allah (swt) permitted me with such an ability that befits me as a human" and they say this in a fictional or fantastical way? Would such type of entertainment or fantasy be considered an act of kufr al akbar, let alone sinful? How would this apply to other fantasies as well like wishing to fly or so and so. Likewise, I understand such type of thinking may not be useful or time well spent, but it greatly troubles me that it could be considered something to be an act of kufr al akbar.

Assalamu alaikum my brothers and sisters. I was just hoping you guys could help me with something im confused about.
There are some ahadith which mention 4 things were created by Allah by his hands which also include Adam and for the rest He only said "Be". Are these authentic? If so then how can we reconcile it with quran 3:59 which specifically mentions that Adam was too created through "Be"? And also, Allah says in the Quran that he created Adam with his hands, but in verse 3:59 he says the similarity between Adam and Esa is that they wore both created by “be”.
I was hoping someone could educate me on this. Thanks!

What are the rules or guidelines on how a Muslim should engage with others who would like to discuss philosophies, beliefs, ideas, and practices of other religions or belief systems?
- Are Muslims allowed to discuss / engage in the ideas to some degree? Or is it shunned.
- How does Islam incorporate ideas outside the main canon / system? _(Generally speaking)_
- Are certain topics to be never discussed?
This would help me ask better questions to the Muslim community in general, but also would serve as a gauge as to how to interact. Basically, what is acceptable conversation topics in the end.

Can this be taken as a basic testimony to assume the new borns irrespective of their parents religion be considered muslims.
Hence the wider question, the testimony of faith is only affirmation of ***BELIEF IN HEART*** (Quran 49:14) and the person is a muslim with Allah and ultimately prove that chidren of muslim parents are also muslims without saying and understanding the wording of popular testimony?

AsSalamu ‘Alaykum
There is a narration which is ‘Ali رضي الله عنه permitting a marriage of a woman without her father giving consent nd giving her mother permission to give consent instead. However, after further research on this narration I have found the complete Isnaad for it in Musannaf ibn abi shaybah:
In the bold is where I am getting skeptical, because from the apparent this is a Majhool narrator whom Abi Qays narrates from. I don’t know who it could be though, but iirc Abi Qays doesn’t usually narrate from weak people although I could be wrong.
Please help me with the grading of this narration, JazakAllahu khairun

I ask this question is in concern that the story of Abel (*هابیل*) and Cain (*قابیل*) when the first murder on earth happened between mankind. In that case, one side didn't fight back the murder but simply warn the other side of the hell fire.
However; I don't understand why we should not allow self defense even against Muslims.
For example, if a Muslim is shooting at you or going to stab you, are one suppose to just let the other side do it? Or any type of self defensive actions are allowed in Islam in this type of scenario?
Please state authentic Qur'an n hadith reference. Jazakallahir!
