Pray only fard rakaat
I have a doubt, can we pray only fard avoiding sunnah rakaat? After visiting several web pages I didn't find one solid answer to my question. I'm not saying that sunnah rakaats are useless but can we avoid them without committing sin?

Is self-defense mandatory for a Muslim?
According to the Qur'an, does a Muslim **have to** defend himself against attacks by other people or illness (aka "value his life") or is it a "I don't have a problem if you do it"-mentality. In other words: Is there a part in the Qur'an that says "I will punish you, if you don't care for your body. If you don't defend your body from illness and attacks, you'll go to hell". (Also in case of taking drugs)

Najas on clothes
As Salam alaikum. I have prostatitis. And when I wash myself, sometimes there is a feeling that urine comes out, I check and there are drops of liquid on the tip itself, but at the same time it can be urine and at the same time it can be water. What to do in such a situation?

And sometimes there are feelings as if urine has dripped, sometimes it happens that it's just an instigation, and it happens that it has dripped. And when I was in the toilet today, I was washing myself and this feeling happened. It was like urine dripped, but I do not know if it really dripped, and if it dripped, where exactly on clothes. Absolutely no idea. What to do?

- Takbeer, sana

Is there any difference when performing sunnah prayers or nafils?
Is durood also included in sunnah? and are last two rakaats read with only Surah Fatiha or an aayah needs to be recited after Fatiha during sunnah?
Are there any other differences between performing sunnah and fard prayers?

AssalamElaikum,
Qaza Farz has different rules as I searched it on internet. For instance I came to know that we can offer Qaza Farz after Asr time expires. I have question about iqamah. As I know Iqamah is necessary for Farz Namaz. Is it necessary for Qaza Farz also?
Somebody please guide me according to Quran, Sunnah and Hadith.

Why aren't all commands of the Prophet treated as obligatory?
Muslims are commanded by Allah(SWT) to obey Him and His Messenger without exception: > O you who believe, obey Allah, the Messenger, and those in command > among you. Muslims are commanded by Allah(SWT) to obey Him and His Messenger without exception:
> O you who believe, obey Allah, the Messenger, and those in command
> among you. If you disagree about something, refer it back to Allah and
> the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the
> best thing to do and gives the best result.
>
> **Surat an-Nisa`: 59**
But I find differences in opinion among scholars on some issues whether it is
obligatory or sunnah. Like in the case of shaving the beard:
> Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
> "Trim the moustaches and let the beard grow."
>
> **Al-Bukhari and Muslim **.
Here the Prophet() is commanding as it seems from the text, but still there is a difference in opinion.
Similarly, the below hadith also seems like a command, but most scholars interpret it as makrooh:
> Narrated by Jabir bin `Abdullah:
>
> The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever has eaten garlic or onion should keep
> away from us (or should keep away from our mosque).'
>
> **Sahih al-Bukhari 5452**
So, the verdicts on whether a command by the Prophet is obligatory vary. How is this methodology of usool-ul-fiqh compatible with the Ayat above and other similar ayats in the Qur'an?

Bismillah. Alhamdulillahi rabbil-'alamin was-Salatu was-Salam 'ala Sayyidil-Mursalin wa 'ala 'Alihi wa Sahbihi Ajma'in.

**Takbir Tahrima** is a fard (obligatory) rukn of Salah. **But should it be said loudly? Or can it be said just by whispering (with very low voice) or silently (quietly)?**
For both "yes" and no "answer" I need proof.
**In case of "yes", what do dumb or deaf people do?**
----------
**Update**
Special case that I am concerned with is that **if Takbeer is said quietly (without making any sound) then Salah is not accepted.** I'd like to know if this claim has base for. The concern comes from the fact that **Takbir Tahrima** is fard (obligatory) rukn of Salah.

Hello so there have been a lot of thunderstorms recently which is why I have been kind of scared to do ghusl in the shower. Because of that, I took a cup of water to rinse my nose & mouth. Then I filled a bathtub with water and washed my whole body with it once by immersing myself in it and pouring that same water over myself with a little bucket several times so that it reaches all parts of my body. I didn’t do wudu afterwards, I just got up and prayed. Was my ghusl valid? I really don’t want to take showers during thunderstorms so I didn’t know what else to do.
