Salam . I am a married woman with 2 kids . I have been smoking ciggs for 6,7 years now . Ever since I moved to uk and especially after kids , I started smoking more . My husband caught me smoking a week back and forced me to hold the Quran and ans his questions . He asked when I started smoking , I answered that I started after my second child was born although in my mind I was thinking “restarted “ as I had quit during the years I was pregnant and didnot want him to know that I had been smoking for so long . I was scared he might take a big step . Although afterwards I held the Quran again and answered all his questions correctly stating it’s been more than 7 years . I am now very concerned as I think I might have swore falsely on Quran .

Salam Aleikum I am a revert Muslim since November 2016 but before I reverted although I used to believe in Allah (SWT) as one and only true God and in Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the last Messanger of Allah (SWT) I was not a practicing Muslim at all and during that time unfortunately I made a huge mistake which today I strongly regret, I am addicted to porn and masturbation and In June 2016 I promissed Allah (SWT) that I would quit watching porn And masturbation and if I would return back to my addiction then he could throw me in the hellfire on the day of judgement even if I worship him in this life and even though I repent to him. Unfortunately i only lasted 33 days and after that I returned to my addiction and and so unfortunately I broke that promise which I made to Allah (SWT), now I’m truly worried that Allah (SWT) might not forgive me for my foolishness and im worried that he might punish me on the day of judgement even though I became a Muslim and even though I seek his forgiveness, my question is that although I made a huge mistake by making that type of promise, do I have a chance to truly repent to Allah (SWT) knowing that I made that promise in 2016 and is there hope for me despite having made that promise in 2016 which I am truly sorry for now?

In Islam, predictions are forbidden. In this case, is it allowed to be a financial analyst, for example, because financial analysts essentially predict market behavior?

Is the "your mother" part specifically tied to the specific sahaba where Muhammed peace be upon him said your mother 3 times then father. I would like to know because it seems the Grammer used there seemed specific to the sahaba. And if it should be a general rule for all of ummah to prioritize mother. Even if you father clearly one who almost dies working all day?

What was Allah doing before the creation? Is there a Hadith for this? Was God making other words before our own?

Iam studying in a medical school, iam trying not to miss the prayers most of the days, but due to exam rush and limited time iam not able to perform wudu. My question is "can i perform salah without wudu on the situation like this?. Is there will be any consideration?"

My brother works for a car leasing company as a frontend developer, and he has been for 6-months now. Last week he realized something disturbing: there is a riba component to the cars that customers rent. It may be naive of us, but no one in our household was aware of this. Now, he does not actively work with riba related transactions (he doesn't make the contracts, doesn't witness it, and he doesn't do any calculations with riba), he just makes the user interface for the website and mobile app where customers can assemble their car etc. I am worried that his work there is haram because of the riba aspect of car leasing, even when his involvement would be more indirect. And if his work is haram, would it be okay for him to stay with the company while he actively applies to other lawful companies with the intention to leave when he gets the chance? He is still a junior frontend developer so his job options are a bit limited (companies here are mostly searching for medior or senior developers) so it might take him a while to find something else. Would it be okay for him to stay with his current company until he finds something else so he doesn't face a financial loss & he continues gaining more experience so it will also in sha Allah be easier for him to find another job? It is very important to him (and to me as well) that his work is pure and halal. His intentions are to work somewhere lawful so he is very worried and upset right now, so your advice would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, A worried sister

I only get this virtual currency through gameplay, and while it can be bought with real money, I do not dare to buy it with real money. Is this still haram even though I do not use real money and I only use virtual in-game currency which is gained purely through gameplay?

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I am a student preparing for an upcoming medical exam. I have been making duaa since Ramadan that I get a certain score in my medical exam that I knew it is extremely hard for me to get despite my efforts. I have recently changed my duaa to get a perfect score in the exam. This score I knew is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get regardless of my work. So, is it permissible to ask Allah of such duaa or not? I also alhamdulillah, all thanks to Allah I pray at masjid and I do my best in my worship and in my studying but the stimulation exams show results very far from the perfect score I am dreaming of

Is it haram to tie a tiny knot around your finger or wear a rubber band around your hand solely for the reason of trying to remember something constantly so that it becomes habit? For example: A man ties a tiny string around his finger to remember him to make dhikr, and after three days, takes it off, for it has become habit. Looking around, I have only found references to indicate that wearing ornaments such as these are normally haram to separate males from females. Would the practice of using an ornament as a memory helper be halal or haram?

My wife and I are due to have a baby in 7 weeks and have become keen on the name Noah as it will possibly keep me happy as I have Arabic roots and my wife is English. Is it ok to use the name Noah as a boys name? I have been told it is Hebrew and do not want that. Is it used by Muslims as a boys name?

Asslam Alaikum. I am having doubts. So basically I saw a post on the internet. The internet said that the Prophet PBUH made a false prophecy with this Hadith: Sahih Muslim 2900 > Nafi' b. Utba reported: >We were with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in an expedition that there came a people to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) from the direction of the west. They were dressed in woollen clothes and they stood near a hillock and they met him as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was sitting. I said to myself: Better go to them and stand between him and them that they may not attack him. Then I thought that perhaps there had been going on secret negotiation amongst them. I however, went to them and stood between them and him and I remember four of the words (on that occasion) which I repeat (on the fingers of my hand) that he (Allah's Messenger) said: You will attack Arabia and Allah will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack Persia and He would make you to conquer it. Then you would attack Rome and Allah will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack the Dajjal and Allah will enable you to conquer him. Nafi' said: Jabir, we thought that the Dajjal would appear after Rome (Syrian territory) would be conquered. So here now it says that the companions thought that Dajjal would come after the conquest of Roman Syria? But that didn't happen. Now I know it could be said this refers to the ends times but that post already knew people would say this and so he states the hadith which says that there will be No caeser after Heraclius in the Syrian territory and there will be no Khosrou in the Iraqi Territory. Then he presents another Hadith that the Last hour will not come until the Romans become the majority of people and he presents commentary of this Hadith saying that the Romans must be continuous. And he says this refers to the Byzantines during the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and as we know they don't exist anymore. He says and I quote: "Why this matters is because the Hadiths regarding the fall of Constantinople then cannot be understood to mean an event where the Roman Empire comes back. It also addresses the explanation I mentioned with the first Hadith, that the Dajjal is to come back at a later date that the Hadith doesn’t say he has to come back right after. If additional conditions for the Dajjal to return is the continuation of the Romans then that is problematic alongside these Hadith regarding Constantinople." Then he says that assuming that the hadith which states there will be no Caesar after this one refers to the Syrian territories and that the above Hadith refers to the dajjal coming in the future, not after the conquest of Syria, this directly contradicts another Hadith in Sahih muslim which states dajjal will come after roman Syria is conquered (Hadith is Sahih Muslim 2899a) and plus also the other Hadith that Romans will never rule Syria again. He says "For brevity there are Hadith regarding Constantinople that put the previous Hadith into perspective and create issues listed here: -https://sunnah.com/muslim:2920a -https://sunnah.com/muslim:2897 -https://sunnah.com/abudawud:4294 " He says that historical conquest of Constantinople refutes this prophecy? Any refutations?

Allah told us to either obey him to go to heaven or disobey him to go to hell. So my question is: > Why there is only heaven and hell? why not live without obeying a god and end up in normal life (or a similar one)? Some non-muslims kept asking me if I did a certain sin, and were accusing me of doing so when I dodged the question, I said I did it accidentally, and then later explained that I did something permissible (but that permissible thing kinda looks like/could lead to the haram thing or could be mistaken for it), is this sinful, and am I sinful for such? (I didn't realize until after I said such that it could be sinful).
