Repeating part of the salawat/durood or reading the second part again
Let's say I read the first part of darood/salwat allahumma Salli up til kamasallayta... to Innaka Hameedum Majeed. Then I continue it til allahuma baarik up til kamabarakta... Let's say I read the first part of darood/salwat allahumma Salli up til kamasallayta... to Innaka Hameedum Majeed.
Then I continue it til allahuma baarik up til kamabarakta... To innaka Hameedum Majeed.
But here, after reading the second part, I forget if I have read this second part just now or if it was the first part.
So then I read the second part (allahumma baarik...kamabarakta...innaka Hameedum Majeed). But maybe now I have read it a second time.

Is it essential to recite durood while making dua?
I didn't recite durood Shareef because I forgot, does it mean that my dua is not going to get accepted? I was not praying I was making dua only.

Can you provide an answer that I can pass onto her as she is curious to the answers. I've got no local imam to assist in this matter. If a call can be done with the both of us.

Difference between صَلِّ and بَارِكْ after the tashahhud

In this sentence what's the difference between صلّ and برك?
I know that صلٌ in this context doesn't mean "praying" because Allah subhana wa ta'ala definitely does NOT pray since he is Allah.but it might mean "sending blessings ", but also barik means "sending blessings". I've found some BAD rough translations in Italian and French that in this very context translate صلّ as praying, and I thought in myself that this is impossible because Allah subhana wa ta'ala does NOT pray because He is Allah (so this would be shirk because there's no superior over Allah), the All-Mighty. So can someone clarify the difference between برك and صلّ in this context please?

Why is it Mandatory to say “Peace be upon Him” whenever mentioning the Prophets name but not Subhanahu wa ta'ala whenever mentioning Allah’s name?
I always see PBUH (Peace be upon him) after the names of the Prophet but not SWT ( Subhanahu wa ta'ala) after Allah’s name. Is there a reason for this?

This question is stuck in my head from quite some time now that why shia and sunnis are offering namaz in a different way, in fact, most of the namaz part is different.
I am a Sunni Muslim and one of my friends is Shia Muslim her namaz is quite different from us why it is?
We all are Muslims and we should pray in the same way. **Which way is authenticated and which one is recommended by Rasool(SAW).** I searched a lot and most of the places I found(our namaz method).

I am a non-Muslim, atheist who writes on religion often. I would like to be respectful towards Islam and Muslims.
I know that when Muslims write (in English) they put 'peace be upon him', 'PBUH', 'Allah's peace and blessings be upon him' or the Arabic for the same after the names of prophets.
As I am an atheist and not a Muslim, I do not believe in life after death or in Allah, and thus I do not think it is possible to wish for the wellbeing of the dead. Thus, if I write 'PBUH', it is technically a lie (because I do not believe what I am saying).
I do not care about telling such a minor 'untruth'; I am very happy to add 'PBUH' after the Prophet's name. It does not hurt me and I always want to be respectful.
However, I want to know: does Islam object to me making a 'false' wish (invoking Allah and the Prophet when I do not believe that either exist)? Would it be better not to add 'PBUH' unless I truly believe in the 'PBUH'? I just want to do whatever is most respectful towards Muslims and Islam!

I am not Muslim, but I am fascinated by religion and try to read etc on the major religions. I am unclear, however, about the correct use of ṣalawāt ("PBUH" etc) when referring to prophets by name: is this requirement intended for the speaker/author, or for the listener/reader, or both? More specifically, as a non-Muslim, would it be actively inappropriate to include such? Obviously it would not serve me to offend a listener/reader by either including it inappropriately, or omitting it where the Muslim reader/listener would expect it.
Even when used (or not) incorrectly, I expect most people would probably give me the benefit of the doubt and simply write it off (correctly) as ignorance, but: it would be good to have clear guidance in the correct usage by a non-Muslim (I am reminded of [the potential issues arising from *the salam*](https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/1827/as-salmu-alaykum-for-non-muslims))

I don't know much about Islam as I am coming back towards it but I never heard of Salat-o-Salam or Muhammad (PBUH) Darood being different than Darood Ibrahim, as I thought it was the same.
My question is, is there any different Darood for both prophets and why there is so much difference between deobandi and barailvi. what are the core differences?

How does the prophet of Islam respond to 'salat' he receives?
It is said that each time you say peace be upon the prophet of Islam, this message is transmitted to him, he hears it and he respond to your Salam. If potentially, thousands of Muslims are saying this at the same time, how this process would work ?

What exactly is the philosophy behind sending blessings and prayer to our prophet in case of Allah and the angels?

> Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace.(33:56 )
from the sunnah we know the rewards and wording for those who do perform this deed.
But what exactly is the case for Allah and the angels when they sent prayers and blessing to our prophet ()? Is there a benefit for Allah in doing this, I might assume that there is for the angels at least ... so my question might be why and how is Allah doing this then and how and what is the deeper meaning or the philosophy behind this???
