Is it ethically permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram) in Islam to report an undocumented immigrant to I.C.E for deportation back to their home
So I am asking this because I recently learned about the I.C.E tip form as a U.S citizen. I know a couple of illegal immigrants who came to the United States through illegal methods. I wanted to know if it was permissable to report them so they can be deported. Thank you.

Should I just memorize enough Arabic to learn the Qur'an or can I still pray and read the Qur'an in English and that be okay?

I am not a muslim, so I apologize for any mistake I might make while writing this question. I have recently started reading an english translation of the Quran, and there is a recurring phrase I am not sure how to interpret: "if you only knew". It occurs in a few places in Al-Baqarah, for example here, in 2:184:
> [Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] – then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] – a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess – it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, **if you only knew.**
(The translation here is Sahih International.)
I need help understanding what is meant by this phrase. What would change, if we knew what?

Why does Allah say *"may be successful"* rather than saying *"will be successful"*.
Why isn't there a guarantee of success even after bowing down, prostrating, worshipping and doing good deeds.

I am new to Islam but since I began my journey turning to and submitting myself to Allah two months ago I've been having trouble with starting to pray. I was raised Catholic then became an Atheist for some time. I started reading books on Islam and the Quran recently and found myself becoming more and more attracted to Islam. I have accepted Allah and thank and praise him with all my heart for saving my life and have accepted the prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as Allah's final prophet. I want to start a connection with Allah with prayer to express my love and thanks to him but it's a little difficult for me to pray the 5 prayers in Arabic although I am practicing Arabic phrases and prayers when I can. My question is:
Can I pray the 5 daily prayers in English until I memorize and learn how to pray in Arabic?

Why do some groups transliterate Arabic words in a lengthy way?
It seems to be with the Salafi groups: Islam is Islaam, Qur'an is Qur'aan, Abu is Aboo, Salah is Salaah etc. You get the picture. Is it just to be more precise in English. You know if you are reading a Salafi article, book, website because of this style.

Through Google search, I've found a couple of English translations of the Quran recommended by scholars. Some editions are also easily available online. The ones I found are basically sentence-by-sentence translations from the Arabic words, at times with explanation of the origin/context of those words in Arabic language.
However, I believe that any kind of translation wouldn't serve me well until I can also read a short contextual explanation/purpose of those Ayats/Surahs based on Islamic history. Can anyone recommend how should I go by with it?
