What is the explanation of the duration of 30 months for the gestation and weaning?
Allah the almighty says: > And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is **thirty months**. ... Allah the almighty says:
> And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is **thirty months**. ... (46:15 )
and He says also:
> Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing [period]. .. (2:233 )
As for the second verse I'd say that it means that the maximum duration which counts as breastfeeding is two lunar years which are 24 months as explained in the Qur'an:
> Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him]. (9:36 )
which defines the length of a year.
I'd like to know how the 30 months duration from the first verse is explained or how it is defined?

There are often claims (such as those seen here ) of scientific mistakes and inaccuracies in the Qur'an. While I agree that many errors in that list are silly and might just be misinterpretations, some of them are harder to explain; especially those that are astronomical and biological in nature (many of these mistakes are shared with the Bible). Since Islam considers the Qur'an to be *ipsissima verba* of Allah, this suggests that Allah has somehow made mistakes and since Islam (as well as other Abrahamic religions) considers Him to be omnipotent, this can be seen as a serious problem.
Where do Muslims stand on this matter? For example, it is well-known in Christian history that the Church outright opposed the Heliocentric model of our solar system up until 1757, despite the scientific evidence to support it. However, even this isn't as weighty as it would be for Islam since the Bible isn't generally considered the literal word of God.
So, my question is:
If any scientific claims appear incompatible with the Qur'an, are Muslims required to reject them? Or can they accept the idea that the Qur'an itself may have its shortcomings?

Is there any evidence that Isa (a.s.) wrote the Injeel in book form? Because it seems that Allah has already gave him the Injeel when he was a baby.
> [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
>
> Quran 19:30
Isa (a.s.) said this as a baby after his mother gave birth to him and took him to her people. So I was thinking that Allah put the revelations in his mind beforehand and the Injeel was never actually written.
This whole time the Injeel was just memorized inside Isa's mind. **If the Injeel was actually a written text, don't you think someone would have found it by now?** Instead, people keep finding very old un-canonical gospels written by Isa's disciples. No one ever finds the actual Injeel or what some people call "The Gospel of Jesus".
I could be wrong but I think the Injeel was in Isa's mind this whole time....not in actual text.

I already have studied the Torah (Old Testament) and I'm now studying the New Testament and The Holy Quran.
I have a question regarding prophets.
How come Muslims believe in prophets after Malachi since in the Torah it's said that in Yehoshua 23:6:
> וַחֲזַקְתֶּם מְאֹד--לִשְׁמֹר וְלַעֲשׂוֹת, אֵת כָּל-הַכָּתוּב בְּסֵפֶר
> תּוֹרַת מֹשֶׁה: לְבִלְתִּי סוּר-מִמֶּנּוּ, יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאול
>
> Be very strong to protect and do everything that is written in Moshe's
> Torah. Do not deviate from it to the right or to the left.
In Deuteronomy 4:2 :
> ... לֹא תֹסִפוּ, עַל-הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם, וְלֹא
> תִגְרְעוּ, מִמֶּנּוּ
>
> Do not add onto what I am commanding to you, and do not detract from
> it...
Proverbs 30:6 :
> אַל-תּוֹסְףְּ עַל-דְּבָרָיו: פֶּן-יוֹכִיחַ בְּךָ וְנִכְזָבְתָּ
>
> Do not add onto [God's] words, lest he test you and you be found to be
> a liar.
Rambam writes in his Mishneh Torah about it :
>
> Therefore, if a person will arise, whether Jew or gentile, and perform
> a sign or wonder and say that God sent him to:
>
> a) add a mitzvah,
>
> b) withdraw a mitzvah
>
> c) explain a mitzvah in a manner which differs from the tradition
> received from Moses, or
>
> d) if he says that the mitzvot commanded to the Jews are not forever,
> but rather were given for a limited time,
>
> he is a false prophet. He comes to deny the prophecy of Moses and
> should be executed by strangulation, because he dared to make
> statements in God's name which God never made.
All these sources, from original holy scripture but also from commentaries express that nothing may be added or subtracted from the Torah. Even someone who claims to be a prophet may never do so, and to attempt to do so will show him to be a false prophet. So how come Muslims believe in the Torah/Old Testament but also believe in prophets such as Jesus (pbuh) and Muhammad (pbuh)?
Thank you for your help and guidance.

So I was just surfing the web. I was typing the number keys in my keyboard. Then suddenly a question appeared in mind. "Can Allah swt change the laws of maths and how it works?"
I found an agnostic dude giving the answer below:
"You're question implies you are thinking in terms of an anthropomorphic god. If you buy into this version of god then you will quickly find yourself asking questions that will puzzle you. 'If god is so powerful he could make a huge rock that he couldn't lift, but since he is god he should be able to lift it.' The fact that these types of questions arise is not necessarily due to there being no god, but that you are thinking of god in the wrong way. If you were to think of god as infinite and pervading everything then god cannot change anything because that which includes all cannot change. There is nothing to change into since that would mean that he is currently not something that he could change into. This leads to the concept of non-duality and the idea that the underlying reality has no separation within it. You can't call it a 'oneness' because one implies two. It is neither. Consequently, the idea of mathematics or logic becomes irrelevant at the deepest level of reality. The universe simply is now. You are like a wave in the ocean experiencing itself as separate from the ocean. The wave asks, ‘When and where will I find the ocean? Who can give the ocean to me?’ But the wave was always the ocean, from the very beginning, even in its seeking! It’s the ocean looking for itself. Even within the ocean’s failure to find itself it is still the ocean; every wave is one hundred per cent water. As all the authentic spiritual teachers have been telling us for hundreds and thousands of years, you already are that which you seek.
'The dude in the sky' concept of god is an easy idea to believe in and it is an easy idea to refute."
Idk if my imaan is weak or not but I'm getting doubts. I know this isn't the right place to ask these questions but I'm getting thoughts like what's the point of life or what's point of living. PLEASE someone help me. What do our Islamic scholars say regarding his points?
Jazakallahu Khair.

Assalamu alaikum.Bangladesh is a democratic country. Here are some law in constitution which are given below-
1.Subject to law, public order and morality
(a) Every citizen has the right to adopt, practice or propagate any religion;
(b) Every religious community and sub-community has the right to establish, maintain and manage its own religious institutions.
2.Any person who has a "willful" or "malicious" intention to "hurt religious sentiments" will be punished with imprisonment.
Are these law considered as shirk? My another question : is it shirk giving safety to non muslim's place of worship for keeping communal harmony?
