these two seems like contradictory Hadiths. Is one of them weak or there's a different explanation for this? > In another narration 'Adi bin Hatim (May Allah be pleased with him) reported Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: "**Allah will surely speak with everyone of you without an interpreter.** He (the man) will look at his right side and will see nothing but (the deeds) which he had done before, and he will look to his left side and will see nothing but (the deeds) which he had done before. Then he will look in front of him and will find nothing but Hell-fire facing him. So protect (yourselves) from (Hell) Fire, by giving in charity even half a date; and if he does not finds it, then with a kind word". Source - Riyad as-Salihin, 139 And here it says Allah will not speak to these people > Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "**There are three persons whom Allah will neither talk to nor look at, nor purify from (the sins)**, and they will have a painful punishment. (They are): (1) A man possessed superfluous water on a way and he withheld it from the travelers. (2) a man who gives a pledge of allegiance to a Muslim ruler and gives it only for worldly gains. If the ruler gives him what he wants, he remains obedient to It, otherwise he does not abide by it, and (3) a man bargains with another man after the `Asr prayer and the latter takes a false oath in the Name of Allah) claiming that he has been offered so much for the thing and the former (believes him and) buys it." Salam! I have come across a sort of a troubling narration about Prophet PBUH's marriage with Sawda R.A: https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:3040 At first I was like maybe it was just Sawda R.A being afraid of divorce and Prophet PBUH actually did not actually initiate it but then I came across an article online which quoted a mursal report from some Ibn Sa'd book that the Prophet PBUH actually initiated the divorce and Sawda R.A in order to save her marriage gave her night to Aisha R.A. It has given me some more doubts than when I came across the narration in tirmidhi... This isn't sitting well with me... I'm sure I'm missing some context here. The Prophet PBUH cannot just simply decide to divorce his older wife one day?? Besides arent there other traditions for the revelation of that verse (4:128) too? Can you please take a look and see what the authentic narrative says about this whole situation? JzkAllah Khair!

Does Islamic scripture have an equivalent to "be fruitful and increase in number"?
[Genesis 1:28][1] in the Bible states: > God blessed them and said to them, "**Be fruitful and increase in number**; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground." (See also [Christianity.SE][2].) A simil...
Genesis 1:28 in the Bible states: > God blessed them and said to them, "**Be fruitful and increase in number**; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground." (See also Christianity.SE .) A similar verse occurs after Noah's flood in Genesis 9:7 . In Christianity, these are generally interpreted to mean "make lots of babies and populate the Earth". I'm wondering if Islamic scripture has an equivalent to this, i.e., something encouraging Muslims to reproduce. Statistics indicate Muslims are reproducing rapidly, even faster than Christians. **Question**: Does Islamic scripture have an equivalent to "be fruitful and increase in number"? I didn't find an answer to this on a related question on Quora , which is mostly a list of speculation. One (seemingly anti-Islam) answer writes: *"Bacche Allah ke den hain", means "A child is a consent of Allah"*, but I don't know what this means.

I just answered https://islam.stackexchange.com/q/21751/17163 , and it struck me as likely that Sufis might have a different interpretation of anger and a different approach to coping with anger, perhaps more spiritual than other Muslims. Googling sufi anger gives two references: - Sufi University : He says that if you’re angry, then you do the Sufi practice of tawbah and return to divine love now. The tawbah practice can be used to bypass by the past and the 'root' of the problem. - Sufispirit.com.au : When a person gets angry, this is a form of pride. They are saying, 'I am better than you'. So it seems likely that there's a different attitude in Sufism to anger. However, I don't know how reliable/accurate these references are among Sufis. **Question**: What is the Sufi interpretation and method to control anger?

When the imam asked me when the mehr would be paid my husband answered before i could. And it is due in roughly less than a month. If he has not paid the mehr by said date is our marriage contract still valid? I cant find an answer anywhere. And nothing i find seems to relate to my situation.

I know the Arabic script, and can read the Quran. But I have no understanding of what I'm reading. What is the best route to learning Classical Arabic? Most of the guides I've seen (in the UK) deal only with modern Arabic. Should I learn this first, or can I go straight into learning the Classical Arabic of the Quran? My main reason for learning Quranic Arabic, is that its poetic force simply does not come through in English. The translations I have looked at are, poetically speaking, dull. Which is a pity. And I don't see that changing any time soon.

In order to prepare ourselves before meeting with Al-Mahdi (The Guided One) and fighting against Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal (The Impostor Christ), we have to be able to estimate the arriaval of them. One way to estimate their arrival is to look at the fulfillment of the minor signs of the Last Hour because if all of the minor signs have been fulfilled (excl. arrival of Al-Mahdi) then Muslims are supposed to be strong enough to unite and stand alongside Al-Mahdi to fight against Ad-Dajjal and his minions. So how much percentage of the minor signs has been fulfilled (estimation is OK)?

> Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established until > the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he > will break the cross, **kill the pigs**, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money > will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable > gifts). Can someone explain the bit about killing pigs? Why is that the case? I have heard explanations that pigs are filth except that there are a lot of other animals that are filth. What's so specific about pigs? I also understand, that Allah created all animals to be treated with kindness. Does this references that pigs don't fit that category? That they are impure and should be exterminated. Or am I missing something else.

I used to believe that it is one of 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan. But recently, I came across a video (link ) which is transcribed/summarized as follows. > Question: Is the night of decree must be on odd days or can it be on > even days. > > Answer: Even or Odd because we can't tell which days are even and > which are odd, until we finish the month. If the month is 29 days, odd > nights are 21, 23, 25, 27, 29. But if the month is 30 days, odd nights > are 22, 24, 26, 28, 30. > > That is why, in another hadith, "Try to detect Laylatul Qadr when 3 > nights LEFT, 5 nights LEFT, 7 nights LEFT", meaning from the end, not > from the beginning. > > Therefore, the possibility of it being any night in the last 10 nights > is there. I am confused because Sheikh Asim is a renouned Saudi sheikh. But also, this is not the mainstream opinion. Can someone clarify it for me? Please do quote your sources i.e. Quranic verse or the number/reference of the authentic hadith.

Is the night of power (laylat al-qadr) fixed, year to year, or does it change? I've been reading some hadith and the only conclusion I can come to is that whenever it is revealed, to be on such-and-such a date (last ten odd nights, 27th, or the 23rd/25th/27th) it's **that date for that year** and then it changes. Is that correct? Also, related: What is the cause of the night of power? Is it the angels taking records back to heaven, or is it the mark of when the Quran was first revealed, or did the two just coincide once?
