Please clarify a concern I have developed after visiting my mother's grave. She passed recently and after visiting her grave recently I noticed an abnormally high amount of ants around it and on the grave. Does this have any Islamic significance since the unusual amount of ants was such that I could hardly offer dua for any significant of time because they started crawling up my pants? This naturally has been highly disturbing and led me to find out if this could be interpreted as punishment being suffered in the grave. Is that so?

Okay, so I was about to learn a new computer tool which might be one of the major things I would be working on in my future career course. The name of the tool is _**"PIG"**_. [What is Pig?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_(programming_tool)) As I was just preparing to start up this morning a thought stormed my mind raising the question if I am pushing any Islamic boundaries by taking up this tool named _**"PIG"**_. Am I in the wrong somehow? Anybody who can clarify regarding this point! I am aware of the pig eatery rules in Islam but want to know regarding this particular situation.

Is animal communication (AC)/"animal whisperers" considered haram? AC is the use of intuition to communicate with animals, and animal whisperers (AW) are people who act as a "middle-man" by relaying messages, feelings, and insights between humans and their animal companions, by addressing a wide range of concerns, such as behavioural issues, health problems, or simply deepening the bond between pet and owner. I engaged one recently after a suggestion from a friend when my pet cat had a detrimental change in behaviour. This was when visits to the vet and other medical resources couldn't find anything wrong with it. In the remote session with the AW, it was "conveyed" to the communicator "by my cat" that there was a health issue that had been bothering it that the vet had missed. From this, we went to a different vet for a fourth opinion, and true enough this vet managed to pick the issue up and just in time. Of course, I was initially sceptical of the AW and thought it was through educated guess that she got it. I engaged her another time for another pet of ours to prove my sceptism right. However, during this remote session, she described some things through the POV of our pet. The descriptions she gave was definitely not a guess as these were things or incidents that only those within our household would know or see. The AC isn't Muslim and is non-denominal. She doesn't use chants or prayers during these sessions to "communicate". She simply gets into a state where she is "calm and of empty mind", and then gets her answers and questions mostly through thought and intuition. These are the same methods mentioned when I read up about AC and in a class I attended when I wanted to find out more. (All by different people.) I was afraid that this was shirk or kufr, so I asked an asatizah about it. She didn't explain much except that if this was done for the welfare of our pet, and its well-being, then it's okay. I tried to look up some more on this, but there's not much out there on AC in Islam. The little that I got was that communication with animals isn't an ability that any mere human has. Only the gifted, like Prophet Sulaiman (SAW) was blessed with this.

Clarification for Sahih al Bukhari 2476 about killing pigs

> Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established until > the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he > will break the cross, **kill the pigs**, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money > will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable > gifts). Can someone explain the bit about killing pigs? Why is that the case? I have heard explanations that pigs are filth except that there are a lot of other animals that are filth. What's so specific about pigs? I also understand, that Allah created all animals to be treated with kindness. Does this references that pigs don't fit that category? That they are impure and should be exterminated. Or am I missing something else.

I was taught as a kid to raise my finger when I'm reciting the shahadat and then stopped practicing Islam and now in my thirties trying to start practicing it again and starting to do the 5-daily namaz. However, I am finding that my cat sees the raised finger when I'm on the ground as a perfect time to give my finger a face rub. Based on hadith, I understand his actions (he's a male cat) don't violate the wudu or prayer but can I move him off of my prayer mat while reciting the next part or should I just let him be, ignore him and focus on prayer? Would me reverting to wordly affairs during prayer to remove a worldly distraction while reciting the words and after having made niyat invalidate the prayer?

Muslims are not allowed to eat certain animals like pig, dog etc. but are allowed to eat cow, chicken, lamb etc. I don't understand the reason behind this refraining from eating some animals but are allowed to eat others. **If eating meat is the issue, Allah should have commanded us to remain vegetarians!** Is there any scientific explanation for not eating certain animals? Some say that pigs eat filthy things and the meat is not healthy for consumption. However, if the pig is reared in a clean environment, won't it make it a clean animal?

What is the significance of slitting the ears of cattle in Qur'an 4:119?

> And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and **I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle**, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss. -- Qur'an 4:119 This makes me wonder why slitting the ears of cattle has any importance. It's certainly not something I could envisage being tempted to do, no matter how persuasive Satan is. **Question**: What is the significance of slitting the ears of cattle in Qur'an 4:119? Tafsir write: > ...surely I will command them and they will cut up the cattle’s ears and this was done to the she-camels they called bahā’ir. -- Tafsir al-Jalalayn > > ...and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle's ears, what is known as the Bahirah. -- Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs So perhaps this is an historical thing. (It doesn't seem related to Bahira .)

I know there is mention of the incident in the Quran where Ibrahim has a dream in which Allah commands him to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as a sign of obedience to God.
But I wanted to understand/know if there is any mention of the celebration of Eid-Al-Adha in the Quran to commemorate this incident by Muslim followers all around the world every year.
Just want to make it clear that I am not talking about the mentioning of the permission to eat halal animals in the Quran which Allah has made permissible for us but I want to know the mentioning of the ruling to sacrifice halal animals on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha in Quran. Thank you in advance!
