Salam!
I have come across a sort of a troubling narration about Prophet PBUH's marriage with Sawda R.A:
https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:3040
At first I was like maybe it was just Sawda R.A being afraid of divorce and Prophet PBUH actually did not actually initiate it but then I came across an article online which quoted a mursal report from some Ibn Sa'd book that the Prophet PBUH actually initiated the divorce and Sawda R.A in order to save her marriage gave her night to Aisha R.A.
It has given me some more doubts than when I came across the narration in tirmidhi...
This isn't sitting well with me... I'm sure I'm missing some context here. The Prophet PBUH cannot just simply decide to divorce his older wife one day??
Besides arent there other traditions for the revelation of that verse (4:128) too?
Can you please take a look and see what the authentic narrative says about this whole situation?

Was the first wife of the Prophet a virgin before she got married to the Prophet i.e., was the first wife of the Prophet previously married/divorced?

Besides the eleven, who are the other possible wives of Muhammad?
It seems Prophet Muhammad definitely had eleven wives, and possibly more. These eleven women are: 1. [Khadijah][2], 2. [Sawda][3], 3. [Aisha][4], 4. [Hafsa][5], 5. [Zaynab bint Khuzayma][6], 6. [Umm Salama][7], 7. [Zaynab bint Jahsh][8], 8. [Juwayriyah][9], 9. [Ramlah][10], 10. [Safiyah][11], 11. [M...
It seems Prophet Muhammad definitely had eleven wives, and possibly more. These eleven women are: 1. Khadijah , 2. Sawda , 3. Aisha , 4. Hafsa , 5. Zaynab bint Khuzayma , 6. Umm Salama , 7. Zaynab bint Jahsh , 8. Juwayriyah , 9. Ramlah , 10. Safiyah , 11. Maymunah . These seem established, and this matches an Islam Q&A fatwa .
However, the Wikipedia page previously (18 January 2017 ) said: "...the thirteen women..." And the Islam-critical site WikiIslam writes: "...a total of fifteen women, though only ever eleven at one time.." (citing The History of al-Tabari (vol. IX) The Last Years of the Prophet: The Formation of the State.)
**Question**: Besides these eleven, who are the other possible wives of Muhammad?
Doing some searching, others possible wives include 12. Maria (listed here ) and 13. Rayhaanah bint ‘Amr al-Nadariyyah (mentioned in the Islam Q&A fatwa ), which I think is the same person as Rayhana bint Zayd on Wikipedia. There may be more I haven't found yet.

Sura Ahzab-33 Ayat-37
And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah
bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And
you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. **So when
Zayd had no longer any need for her**, We married her to you in order that there not be
upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their
adopted sons when they no longer have need of them.
And ever is the command of Allah accomplished.
Sura Ahzab-33 Ayat-6
**The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves, and
his wives are [in the position of] their mothers**. And those of
[blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the
decree of Allah than the [other] believers and the emigrants,
except that you may do to your close associates a kindness
[through bequest]. That was in the Book inscribed.
The wives of The Prophet Muhammad SAW are mothers of Mominin in Ayat 6 and Ayat 37 when Zayd divorced his wife Allah kept her (the former wife of Zayd) in marriage Of Muhammad SAW? Please help me understand it..... what is full meaning of ayat in the context.

**Question**: Did Maymunah bint al-Harith only ever marry Prophet Muhammad?
A former husband is not listed on her Wikipedia page . Islam.Wikia.com write: "After the Prophet's death, (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) Maymuna continued to live in Medina for another forty years, dying at the age of eighty..." which means she married Muhammad at around 40 years of age.

Yesterday, we were having conversation in our home and someone suddenly asks this question and no one was able to answer this. I don't know if someone will find it easy to answer but for me this question is very difficult. Is there any reference in QURAN about their marriage ?

66:3 with tafseer . There are different interpretation of it, some interpretation deals with Maria, other with Abu Bakar, Umar and then some regarding Ali (RA). What is the correct interpretation of this verse?
> And when the prophet secretly communicated a piece of information to
> one of his wives-- but when she informed (others) of it, and Allah
> made him to know it, he made known part of it and avoided part; so
> when he informed her of it, she said: Who informed you of this? He
> said: The Knowing, the one Aware, informed me.
Do we have any authentic evidence regarding the secret message? Also what is not clear, was it Aisha (RA) or Hafsa (RA) to whom this secret was revealed.

Here the sources one says she was a concubine and the other argues she was a wife of the Prophet according the hadith about treading Egyptians kindly because of blood ties and marriage and imam Nawawi explanation of the hadith in his sharh says Mary was married to Prophet.

After Hazrat Safiyya (r.a) was taken captive in the Battle of Khaybar, the Prophet manumitted her and married her. But, in accordance with the practice of istibra, he didn't consummate his marriage till she was free from menses (hadith ). Its also mentioned that between Khaybar and Medina, the Prophet stayed for 3 days, between which the marriage was consummated (hadith ).
From these, it means that the iddah of Hazrat Safiyya (r.a) was for a approximately 3 days, although it can be a little more because after taking her as captive, the Prophet may have stayed for a small time in Khaybar. **So, what could be the approximate (or exact) idda period of Hazrat Safiyya ?**
