I used to believe that it is one of 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan. But recently, I came across a video (link ) which is transcribed/summarized as follows.
> Question: Is the night of decree must be on odd days or can it be on
> even days.
>
> Answer: Even or Odd because we can't tell which days are even and
> which are odd, until we finish the month. If the month is 29 days, odd
> nights are 21, 23, 25, 27, 29. But if the month is 30 days, odd nights
> are 22, 24, 26, 28, 30.
>
> That is why, in another hadith, "Try to detect Laylatul Qadr when 3
> nights LEFT, 5 nights LEFT, 7 nights LEFT", meaning from the end, not
> from the beginning.
>
> Therefore, the possibility of it being any night in the last 10 nights
> is there.
I am confused because Sheikh Asim is a renouned Saudi sheikh. But also, this is not the mainstream opinion.
Can someone clarify it for me? Please do quote your sources i.e. Quranic verse or the number/reference of the authentic hadith.
