Are there any ahadith about how Umar Ibn Al Khattab treated or interracted with his father after accepting Islam?
I have only come across the hadith where Umar ibn al Kattab references his father's cruelty. If a parent is cruel what was advised at the time of the prophet(Saw)?

What does Islam say about parents apologising to children.
I posted a thread previously about differences in cultures. Again, I am part of 2 cultures, and based on 1 of them, parents apologising to children is a very good thing, it is considered setting a good example and it teaches the child manners and also respecting them at the same time if the parent does something wrong and apologies to the child.
The other culture I am part of considers this to be almost sin like, i.e. a parent never ever apologies to a child, no matter what, even in an accident situation or even if the parent wrongs the child and realises later that s/he wronged the child.
Does Islam have any rules about this? i.e. in Islam, are parents allowed (or encouraged) to apologies to their children if the parent wrongs the child somehow. Or is it considered almost sin like for parents to apologies to children if the parent wrongs the child in some form.
For example, the parent is going from 1 room in the house to another, and accidentally bumps into a child because the parent was not looking where s/he was going. Does Islam say that the parent should apologies, or does Islam that the parent should never apologies to his/her child?
By saying something like "ohhh, sorry, are you OK"? 1 culture I am part of recommends this, the other culture considers this almost sin like. What does islam encourage? That parents are too high in their position as a parent to apologies to children, or parents should teach their children by apologising to them if needed to set an example?
Prefer sunni view with evidence from quran/hadith and/or fatwa.

Does anyone know the source of this "rule of 80"? Is there any authority for interpreting this source as applying to the modern state of Israel?

What are the readings (qira'at) of Quran?
As far as I know there are more than one reading for Quran. Some say they are 7 and others say they are 14. What does that mean? Are there more than one Quran? Which reading is the correct one and why? What is the role of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) exactly concerning these readings?

Is it halal for a women to voluntarily submit as a slave to a man? In this hypothetical situation a proper contract would be put in place, no coercion would take place, the potential slave would be of sound mind and treated with respect.
I haven't found anything in my research to indicate that this isn't Islamic. Thoughts?

I recently learnt that fadak was an endowment to fatima by the prophet of Islam and abu bakr confiscated it as per twelver
Fadak came under prophet/muslims in 628 CE.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conquest_of_Fadak
Zaynab bint Muhammad died in 629 CE.
Umm kulsum bint Muhammad died in 630 CE.
Twelver say fadak was endowment and not inheritance.
Even if it's assumed if this is endowment are we accepting that prophet did injustice to zaynab and umm kulthum by not gifting them anything? Is this a slander on the prophet of Islam?
I believe quran orders the parents to be just and equal in giving gifts to children.

I have had sex with an innocent girl of my age we both are muslims. I did not have the knowledge of haram and halal while performing the act but now I feel disgusted. She wants me to marry her but my parents are strictly against love marriges.
Question: I want to know if this relationship would be halal if i convince my parents to get us married?
I am afraid if this relationship would become haram as we have already indulged in the sinful act. I am very scared and I do not want to spoil her future. Please guide me in this as I do not want to let her go.

Salam alaikum brothers and sisters,
I am very bored and I fill that boredom by sometimes gaming or by watching videos or by reading Qur'an - you get the point. I used to role-play too in character.ai, but stopped doing that. The role plays I usually did were something in the lines of putting myself inside an already existing storyline, for example Avatar the last airbender. I would put myself as an earthbender or something like that and start a role play based off of that, usually containing a conflict against either the villains or the heroes.
Regardless, I stopped doing it because I feared it wasn't good. I usually came back after a few weeks to full my returning boredom. For people suggesting fasting, I'm already fasting in alternation (1 day yes, 1 day no).
**Anyway, I want to know whether it's haram to role-playing in Character.ai or not, I also want a good explanation in if it's halal or haram with either hadiths or verses of the Qur'an.** Thank you.

I do not intend to be a god or whatnot. I just named it because i loved eggs and i just had a lot of them in my pantry. So, I named myself that name. Now, many people are bullying me that it is pure shirk as calling yourself the lord of something is haram and implies you are a god, which is not true. I intended the name to be a joke way, as in king, like a royal member that owns an army of eggs, a commander you could say. Please help me on this!

https://shamela.ws/book/11430/18980#p1
This link talks about the following:
- The Malikis and Shafi'is say that when a minor is able to withstand intercourse this impediment is removed.
- The Shafi'is say that if the husband says 'hand her over to me and I will not have intercourse until she is able' even then she will not be handed over to him, even if he is trustworthy. That is because there is no reasonable security from his lust.
Medical research discourages pregnancy at very young ages e.g. 9, 10 and 11. However, Aisha was married at 9, an age considered very young for pregnancy. Scholars tend to focus on the dangers of sexual intercourse rather than pregnancy itself. How can coitus be permissible with a very young girl but the dangers pregnancy which can follow, were not discussed by them?
Regarding the marriage to Aisha, since we have more medical knowledge of the dangers of very young pregnancy, would marrying someone of that very young age be forbidden and objectively wrong today, since the shafis said if you fear harm for her then the hand over cannot happen? I'm asking as angel Gabriel essentially passed the message to marry her from God.
I have seen related Qs on the site but this is a bit different.
Thanks.
