If a person fails to reach the mosque and time of prayer in the mosque is now gone (the congregational prayer has been offered in the mosque), does he have to offer congregation at home or can he pray alone at home?

Young Children (say, about 5 years old) do not have the obligation and are not supposed to join Salat; they are not fully able to understand the meaning and to do everything properly but they like to be part and imitate what they see. Is it allowed/well-received to let them participate in the way they are doing it? If not, should they participate under age when they want and learned to do everything properly (e.g. 8 years old) Answers according to any fiqh are welcome, Hanafi preferred.

I begin praying in Mosque next Friday (InshaAllah). I never did a prayer in a Mosque (except when i was very young i think) and i need some tips how i should act to not look like a lost person... Can anyone tell me by steps what to do since entering the Mosque.How the prayer is done?

If I offered isha prayer and then qayam (taraweeh) behind the imam, but didn't do the witr (though still sat in the masjid), because I want to offer tahajjud at home later, will I still get the reward of the qayam for the entire night? I am confused because I have heard of two hadiths. One according to which, if one offers isha and entire qayam behind imam in congregation, one gets the reward of the whole night's qayam (even if they offer fajr at home - I am a woman). And another hadith according to which, if one offers isha in congregation and fajr in congregation, one gets the reward of praying all night. **So which one is it?** It's important for me because (a) I am a woman (b) The security situation is not that great where I live (c) the masjid is far. A quick, clear answer based on authentic hadiths/ quran is highly sought and appreciated, as I have to decide whether I should go to offer fajr in congregation or not?

In my extended family, there r many boys (brothers), they rather do a jamaat in house rather than go to a near mosque. Not joining them makes me feel bad but it also makes me feel bad if I don't go to a nearby mosque. They have a certain reason of not going to the nearby mosque as the mosque doesn't do Salat-o-Salam and people tend to only offer fard so they think it is wahabi masjid

It is said that if you pray in Jama'at, Allah will accept your prayer so long as one person in the jama'at prayed a valid prayer. But if nobody among the jama'at prayed a valid prayer, does Allah still accept it?

When two people want to pray in jama’ah and there is no third person available, the Imaam (leader) stands on the left and the muqtadi (follower) stands on the right, a few inches behind the Imaam and they start. If a third person arrives after they begin their salaah, what should he do to join the congregation? Where should he place himself?

When you come into mosque late for Zuhr, and someone is busy with salah, without you knowing if he is performing Sunnah Zuhr or Fard Zuhr, can you join that person and perform your Fard Zuhr and carry on after he salaam and still get the benefit of congregation (jama'a) salaah?

When praying the fard of Dhuhr/Zuhr and Asr salah in congregation behind the imam, the imam recites everything silently. According to some websites, it is **[makrooh tahrimi](http://www.questionsonislam.com/node/13057)** to recite anything behind the imam during salah in the Hanafi madhab, be it silent or loud prayer. However, they also state that reciting surah Fatiha during congregation is wajib in the Shaf'iee madhab. Why do the 2 madhabs have such opposite rulings for this incidence? **Question:** Do the muqtadis need to recite anything while praying behind the imam, i.e. surahs, salawat, dua e masura, whether it is during silent salah or loud salah? Please answer from all 4 madhabs view in this with evidence to support each claim

Salaam Alaykum, as we know, today is the first of Ramadan and I'd like to wish all of you a blessed Ramadan. My question is, I'm now currently living with my aunty/with my cousins, and I have one female cousin, and 2 males making a total of 4 with my aunt included. Now, they want me to pray the evening prayer together, (put in mind, they are my ajnab) and I'm worried that it might be impermissible... So what is the ruling for this? Is this permissible? And if it is, can I lead them as imam? P.s I'd really appreciate if I get an answer quick cause time for iftar is really close

In 4 Sunni schools of thought and especially in Hanafi madhab, women joining in jamat for prayer is considered as highly discouraged and makruh tahrimi. But, there are so many ahadith where we can see our Prophet Muhammad[pbuh] said not to prevent women from going to the mosque, female sahaba used to get out of home for jamat in the mosque. Even Umar[ra] could prevent them from doing that. > One of the wives of Umar (bin Al-Khattab) used to offer the Fajr and > the `Isha' prayer in congregation in the Mosque. I live in a place where no women have the option of going to masjid. We pray at home. Moreover, I have some physical limitation and I can not go anywhere right now. I don't think I have anyone who I could ask to do congregational prayer with me inside the home. We are still left with 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th nights of Ramadan. I really want to offer isha and fajr in congregation. 1. Can I pray in congregation while playing a audio/video of congregational prayer in some masjid in the world? 2. Would you know any such video on YouTube may be, which I can play and then offer my salah along in order to be a part of the congregation?

If three persons want to perform prayer like **father, son and mother** what would be the **standing position for jamaat** of three.

If I pray twice in two different mosques, will I double the rewards twice? For example, I pray fajr in a mosque and walk to another one close by with a slightly different prayer time to pray in that other one too. Will I get the full hassanates for both prayers?

On Friday I missed one rakat and after imam salam I continued my prayer but someone passes in front of me while i was praying. Am i responsible for the sin or the person who passes in front of me If I am responsible what should I do now Is there any kaffarah for me? *Please Answer*

Asalamualaikum If three men all pray salah together where do the two followers stand? Behind or to the side of the imam?

What should a person do if the imam forgets a sujood in prayer and the mamoom (the one(s) who prayers behind the imam, as following him) indicates, but the imam continues and does not do Sajdatu Sahu. 1. Continue praying with the imam 2. Stop praying with the imam. 3. Do Sajdatu Sahu after the prayer separately?

There is a hadith that describes the reward for the one who prays Taraweeh salah in congregation with the imam it will be recorded for him that he prayed the whole night. >Abu Dharr narrated: "We fasted with the Prophet, so he did not pray (the night prayer) with us until seven (nights) of the month remained. Then he (pbuh) led us in prayer until a third of the night had gone, then he did not lead us in prayer on the sixth. Then he led us in prayer on the fifth until half of the night had gone. We said to him: 'O Messenger of Allah! Wouldn't you lead us in prayer for the remainder of the night?' **He said: 'Indeed, whoever stands (praying) with the Imam until he finished, then it is recorded for him that he prayed the whole night.**; Then he did not lead us in prayer until three (nights) of the month remained. Then he led us in prayer on the third and he called his family and his women to pray with us until we feared missing the Falah" I (Jubair bin Nufair) said to him: "What is the Falah" He said: "The Suhur." > >Jami` at-Tirmidhi 806 > https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:806 But is it only in the case of Taraweeh in the mosque? Or does this reward also apply if we pray at home until the imam finishes? I have a problem with passing wind so I fear that I might pass wind in the Taraweeh salah and lose the whole reward. I would like to know what the scholars say about this. As a layman I can just apply my logic that, "Oh, the hadith says about praying with the imam, it doesn't refer to congregation in the mosque so my question is answered." But often the scholars say different things.

I would like to know if it is possible for an Imam in congregation to interrupt the prayer for some reasons. For example some of the praying believers have been attacked or a he's hearing murmur or something behind him or some part of then mosque (pillar/wall...) is collapsing. It would be nice if you could quote an evidence. One reason which seems clear is if the imam loses his purity, but i have never heard of an evidence for that and would know how this would be handled. While for the ma'mums there's a clear hadith . And if this is possible acceptable i would like to know if there where other reasons beside the one mentioned above it would be acceptable and how it was/will be handled!

Usually it happens while praying in prayer room at office, people gathered and form Jamat. So in this case, if you are in the middle of offering your individual Farz prayer. Should you discontinue the prayer to participate in Jamaat?
