If a spouse marries another spouse and they give gifts and things to that spouse. But he/she divorces the other that same night or the next day and run away with the gifts and money. Can the other spouse demand it back? I have found some fatwa- From a Fatwa of Al-Azhar University: "If a woman enters into a marriage with the explicit intent of obtaining money and then divorces immediately to avoid fulfilling her marital duties, this constitutes fraud. In such a case, the husband has the right to request the annulment of the marriage and reclaim any gifts or dowry given. The woman's intention to deceive makes the marriage invalid, and gifts exchanged in an invalid contract must be returned." From the Permanent Committee of Islamic Scholars (Saudi Arabia): "A marriage entered into with deceptive intent for financial gain, with no intention of fulfilling the marital obligations, is considered invalid. In such cases, the husband is entitled to reclaim the dowry and gifts given, as they were exchanged based on a marriage contract that was rooted in fraud." Ibn Qudamah (Hanbali), in his work "Al-Mughni", states that if a person enters a marriage with fraudulent intentions (for example, with the intent to deceive the other party), the marriage can be annulled, and the deceived party may be entitled to reclaim any gifts or payments made during the marriage. This is in line with the principle that fraud nullifies a contract. Al-Mughni, Volume 7, Page 457: "If a marriage is based on deception, such as one spouse hiding their true intentions or misrepresenting something fundamental to the marriage, then the marriage may be annulled, and any gifts or money exchanged could be reclaimed." Al-Shaybani (Hanafi Fiqh): The Hanafi school, in general, holds that a marriage based on deception is a form of fraud. If one party is deceived about a crucial fact (like the intention to divorce or other fundamental issues), the contract can be annulled. This would typically lead to the return of any material goods exchanged under fraudulent circumstances. "Al-Hidayah": The Hanafi text outlines that if the marriage is found to be based on deceit (e.g., false promises), the gifts may be returned, as the basis for their exchange was invalid. Maliki Scholars: Maliki jurists also assert that deceit in marriage, such as entering a marriage under false pretenses, can lead to annulment. If the marriage is annulled due to fraud, the deceived party has the right to request the return of gifts. Al-Mudawwana (by Sahnun): It discusses the consequences of marriage fraud and outlines that the deceived party might be entitled to the return of any gifts or dowry if fraud is proven. Please clarify.

I am a 17 year old currently studying intermediate. The intermediate education is provided by colleges in my country. In my secondary exams (on the basis of which students get admission in college for inter) I remember I asked a question of a friend during the exam to confirm a doubt. Now I realize that by doing that I may have disfavoured someone else who did not cheat. Now, I am in the final year of inter. Should I discontinue studies because studying in this college may have been someone else's right?

Marrying a second woman behind your wife's back: is it wrong and can Quran/Hadith prove this?

Salam alaykum. Please note that I myself am not in this position, rather I am in the position of knowing men who say they do "halal cheating"; namely marrying a second woman making the sexual activities with the second wife permissible in islam. I am not knowledgeable enough to do more than to advise them it is wrong to trick your first wife and not take her choice into account or her comfort. However, what I wonder is if someone may be able to cite islamic texts to show that in islam it is actually wrong to hide such a thing from your first wife. I am sure that many of these men would, in knowledge that it is haram or makruh to lie to your first wife, stop having these thoughts. The entire "halal cheating" seems to be a form of self-validation for people who are no better in spirit than the fornicators who have extramarital sex, as they also give in to their compelling desire for lust. I am very grateful for anyone who would be able to provide islamic citations!

My circumstances are a little specific. I would like to ask if I should quit university in order to attain halal income instead. It has been about 5 years since I started university, I have more or less have been cheating in all of my major courses. Only in recent months have I come to the conclusion that if I were to find a degree in my major, the money earned from it would perhaps be haram due to the way I would get my bachelor's degree. So my question is, should I stay in school or drop out? I feel that on the day of resurrection, I will be asked about this.

Assignments are meant to evaluate a students performance and a student is also graded based on the numbers that include numbers that he gets on those assignments. It is common in students that they do others assignments and vice versa. It is also common that students put their assigents as a task on online freelancing sites such as fiverr. I personally believe that both the person who does other's assignments and the one who gets those done by others are committing sin. However, I don't know if I can back my opinion with Quran and Sunnah. Plz guide me in this regard with regards to both the individuals respectively. JazakAllah Khair.

Given a question on how an Islamic state handles tax , I'm sure some people are wondering: does Islam permit tax evasion? Tax evasion refers to "trying to get out of paying tax that you rightfully owe, wherever you live." For example, if you earn $50k and get $10k in gifts, depending on where you live, you may be required to claim that $10k as income and pay taxes to the government. Tax evasion here would be to avoid declaring that amount in order to avoid paying tax on it. Also to clarify, this question is about **Muslims living in a Muslim or non-Muslim country where taxes are collected by law.** Not an Islamic state (which doesn't exist).

Some people say that you can cheat in Islamiat exam/test because it will be a sin to write a verse or hadith in wrong words or in wrong order of words by mistake. Please clear my confusion that if it is allowed or simply I should not write it if I don't know it in exact words?

I have forgiven my wife and I can observe her changed behavior towards our life. She does not want to leave me. We have two small kids. My parents do not want me to leave the job as I have earned a respectable position with formidable repute and bright scope for future. I want to live with my kids, my wife and with the will of Almighty Allah and my parents. What to do? Please reply urgently.
