If a non-Muslim man accepts Islam along with his wife, is it necessary for them to perform a new (renewed) nikah (marriage contract)?

Please clarify a concern I have developed after visiting my mother's grave. She passed recently and after visiting her grave recently I noticed an abnormally high amount of ants around it and on the grave. Does this have any Islamic significance since the unusual amount of ants was such that I could hardly offer dua for any significant of time because they started crawling up my pants? This naturally has been highly disturbing and led me to find out if this could be interpreted as punishment being suffered in the grave. Is that so?

according to authentic hadiths she will be with her last husband. does that mean her previous husband will lose her in jannah? what's the point of forming a relationship and taking the time to be bond then? aren't we supposed to find peace/comfort within our spouses according to the holy quran? So does the man just watch as his wife enters jannah with another man, knowing there's absolutely nothing he can do since he died?

Last year the Turing test was passed, where a machine was able to convince people that it was human. There are no problems with computers in Islam as they're just tools, but I'm certain that creating a computer that simulates intelligence would be frowned upon. Has there been any ruling on the subject or are there any materials that discuss the issue? This is simply something I'm curious about as I'm sure it will become an issue in future. I'm sure those working on artificial intelligence will be asking the same question.

Assalamu Alaikum I have a friend who doesn't beleive in the death penalty for apostasy, so I tried to convince him using the example of the Sahabah, that they fought the the apostate tribes, and forced them to convert to Islam and pay Zakah. However, he thinks that theses tribes (like Banu Hanifah) 'claimed to be muslim' (even though, they obviously weren't muslim as they had accepted a false prophet), which is why it was necessary to compel them into giving Zakah. In other words, he beleives that if they had explicitly renounced Islam, Abu Bakr RA would have had no option but to take Jizya from them. So what I'm looking for here, is authentic/sound narrations to prove that any of these tribes had explicitly renounced Islam or explicitly denied the shahadah becuase he thinks that these tribes still beleived Muhammad SAW to be a Messenger, just not the last Prophet (which is obviously also kufr, but not explicit). So can y'all find some please :)

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I have a question about prayer time. Sometimes, I take ghusl or make wudu about an hour before the end of Dhuhr time (for example, at 4:00 PM), and then I wait until near the end — I pray Dhuhr about 5–10 minutes before its time ends. Right after that, Asr time begins, and I pray Asr. I have enough time to pray earlier, but I don’t want to take wudu or make ghusl many times a day if I am still in a state of purity. My question is: Is it allowed to delay Dhuhr close to the end of its time, even though I could pray earlier, just to avoid making wudu again before Asr?

The society of Muslims needs to be guided by caliph after prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Hence, after the death of holy prophet (PBUH), a caliph was assigned to guide and rule the Muslims. According to my findings in noble Qur'an, God has assigned the caliph. For example, Moses the prophet (PBUH) didn't ask people to form a Shura for choosing a successor when he left for Miqat. > Moses said: "O’ Allah) assign me a vizier from my family, (that is) my > brother Aaron (Haroon) ...,”(Allah) said: "We granted your requests, > O’ Moses.”(20:29-36) . Or in another verse, Allah the exalted, directly mentions the word "Caliph": > يَا دَاوُودُ **إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً** فِي الْأَرْ‌ضِ فَاحْكُم > بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن > سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ > لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ > > [We said], "O David, indeed **We have made you a successor** upon the > earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your > own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." > Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe > punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account.(38:26) But I didn't find other clues mentioning the authority of the prophet or people. Assalamu Alaikum Mufti Sahib, I have a question. I have full knowledge of a halal trading method that I can share with people — and that 90% knowledge is enough to make them profitable. But I also have my own personal trading strategy that is separate from that and not required for success. My question is: Is it a sin if I share the full profitable method with others but keep my own personal strategy private? Or does hiding that personal method count as hiding knowledge in Islam? Each year i used to go stay with my grandparents who are at a different region where it takes half a day to go into in bus and i would stay there for more than one month. I do this to give them company and assist them as they are really old. But recently i learned that it is haram for a woman to travel alone but my only mahram is my father who cant travel due to being weak because of healt issues. And if i am almost obliged to go because if i dont my grandparents will be really sad and angry with me and it will cause some drama in the family. Then can i still go alone as i have done it for a long time and never had any problem whatsoever?

The job involves watching videos for just 10 seconds as part of the work—can we take up such a job?

I am a male revert, born and raised in the west where sewing/clothing-making is traditionally seen as a woman’s role. I would like to start my own line of modest men’s clothing for prayer, but I am aware about the hadith saying that men should not imitate women and women should not imitate men. Does the hadith also apply to functional roles in society? Was it the same case in Arabia at the time of the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa salaam) that sewing/clothing-making was seen as a woman’s role? Is there any other hadith or verse from the Quran that makes this impermissible for me?
