As it is said that as the person dies, the torment in his grave starts so the people who have died much earlier then will their torment be much greater than those people who died recently?

Please clarify a concern I have developed after visiting my mother's grave. She passed recently and after visiting her grave recently I noticed an abnormally high amount of ants around it and on the grave. Does this have any Islamic significance since the unusual amount of ants was such that I could hardly offer dua for any significant of time because they started crawling up my pants? This naturally has been highly disturbing and led me to find out if this could be interpreted as punishment being suffered in the grave. Is that so?

Full Question: If I lie in my grave, was a good Muslim, answered all three questions correctly from the heart, and was an astronomy fan, will Allah let me explore the universe or at least let me see what's happening in the universe even in my grave? Will the barzakh period (the time until Qiyamah) be shortened for good people in the grave?

Salaam , From my understanding in your grave after you die, the angels ask you the three questions. If you pass , your grave is widened and your waiting period till day of judgement is peaceful and filled with royalty. Does this mean this person will go to heaven or they have to go through more tests on the day of judgement.

From early times, I knew or learned that after death, one would remain in grave (punishment in grave for sins or otherwise) until he/she is resurrected on the **Day of Reckoning**. Is it legal in Islam to exhume graves? If so, under what conditions? How should the remains be handled? What are the rules for the re-burial of remains?

As the title says, what is the appropriate time to visit the graves of fellow Muslims? Or is there anything such as an appropriate time? Most men visit after Friday prayer. I ask so, because one day after Isha I wanted to visit the grave of my close relative. But it was dark and I felt I should not visit. It is at that time I had this question.

Also isn't this a contradiction to the hadith?: "You cannot make the dead hear, you cannot make the deaf listen to your call when they turn their backs and leave." I would like to know the exact location of where Prophet Muhammad's (Peace and blessings be upon him) father was buried? Where is his grave?

My father has passed away a few weeks ago. I miss him dearly. I am desperate to know that he is better placed, Allah had mercy on him, he is in Jannah and he does not have any regrets and sorrows in another world. I am desperately want him to be in best place.

I was told from Salafi guy that planting on the grave is forbidden as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did it only for himself and none of the Sahaba did it. The Hanafis, Shafi`is, and Hanbalis have all declared it to be recommended to place green stalks and the likes on the graves. If Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did it, I wonder why the Sahaba didn't follow it (if that is true)? Can it be an innovation?

My grandfather has recently passed and I heard from a relative that they are planting flowers for him by his grave. I have read in a kitaab that it’s considered bidah . And I want to tell them to remove the flowers but I need proof.

Where is this hadith written? Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "It is much better for one of you to sit on a live coal, which will burn his clothes and get to his skin than to sit on a grave." I have read a couple of threads regarding this topic but none answered my questions. After a person dies and is buried, the question and answer trial happen. If a person was a bad person, they will get punished in the grave. If the person was a good person, they wouldn't. What happens to the soul of a person, Muslim or non-Muslim, that is cremated? They cannot be buried. Will they also face a trial? Will they also be punished or questioned? How will they be punished if they don't have a grave or a body? I'm just so confused and honestly, wonder what happens to their soul. I would love to hear your opinions with some text or proof from the Quran.
