When animals die, where do their souls go?

When we die, our bodies die and our rooh/arwah/soul goes to a place known as barzakh. Everything is destined to die, even the Angel of Death. Then Allah will ask if there is anybody alive, and there will be silence. However, at that time won't our souls still be alive?

After a person dies, can that person soul travel to earth to visit his family and stuff? I am asking this because I see a lot of passed away people in my dreams.

I've heard this from Sh. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah but I can't find anything online about it. He says we made tawaf around the Throne in the company of our friends and loved ones in the dunya.

My mother married 2nd time when I was 2 or 3 years old, and my step Father already married and have 2 children with her 1st wife, recently my step father passed away, Is 1st wife of my step father stil mahram to me and what about my step siblings. What are the ruling related to marriage step mother (wife of step dad) as my step Father is not my blood related so what about his wife (his 1st wife), and does she has to do parda in front of me.

As probably many of you know, Azrael (عزرائیل) has been appointed as the responsible angel who gets the souls of humans at the time of their life (when dying). But I was wondering if he (Azrael) is the responsible of getting the souls of animals as well? Or factually, animals will be died by another way? *Note: Please, present related Qur'anic verses or hadith (tradition) for your answers as much as possible.*

If a person dies and his/her relatives bury him, he will be asked three questions in the grave. What happens after that? Where does his/her soul go?

It is known that there is a phenomenon known as Astral Projection , or OBE (Out of Body Experience ); many people have been reported to have experienced this. So my question is: is there any mention in the Quran and Authentic Sunnah about astral projection/OBE? **Note**: When I say soul out of Body, I do not mean death.

We do see references to us being husbands and wives in Paradise, so that means that the gender from this world will somehow continue in the afterlife, but my question is more about the life *before* this life.

Assalamu alaykum. I have pondering for some time over an ayah in the Quran where Allah swt tells us that every soul will come on the Day of Judgement. I wonder, does this mean that the terms 'soul' and 'human' are interchangeable in this context. Does this mean that every human being is born with a soul, and thus, everyone will come on the Day of Judgement with no exceptions? Jazakallahu Khayran.

Does soul exist inside our body, does soul has any gender, how can I find that I have a soul , what is the concept of soul in Islam.

My sixteen year old brother died recently. His death happened under mysterious circumstances and we've tried everything to find out what happened but unfortunately we can't find an answer. We all feel like it was a murder, is there a chance of his soul communicating to us through a dream, where he tells us what happened?

Do souls of dead Muslims who knew each other during their lifetimes communicate with each other after death? If so, can the soul of the person that died later communicate news of the ones left behind (still alive)? Someone I know recently died by killing himself. I don't know if he is going to Jannah or not, that's is why I wonder if he can see and hear us now.

I have read a couple of threads regarding this topic but none answered my questions. After a person dies and is buried, the question and answer trial happen. If a person was a bad person, they will get punished in the grave. If the person was a good person, they wouldn't. What happens to the soul of a person, Muslim or non-Muslim, that is cremated? They cannot be buried. Will they also face a trial? Will they also be punished or questioned? How will they be punished if they don't have a grave or a body? I'm just so confused and honestly, wonder what happens to their soul. I would love to hear your opinions with some text or proof from the Quran.

Infact, I believe (no proof) that even angels & jinns have souls as every living creature will taste death and it is the extraction of the soul which determines the death of the individual. Did the tree stump not cry when the Prophet began preaching from an elevated platform instead of upon it? Did Mount Uhud not tremble when the Prophet along with the future Caliphs walk upon it? Is my understanding wrong w.r.t the Islamic perspective?

A definition of *monism* is > a theory or doctrine that denies the existence of a distinction or duality in... God and the world. In Islam, *shirk* is defined as > idolatry or polytheism, which means deification, or worship of deity, gods, or anything other than Allah. It seems to be the case that monism is a form of shirk because monism asserts that the world (including its inhabitants) and Allah are a part of the same entity. Indeed, the Qur'an repeatedly makes assertions like in An-Naml (27:63) > Is there any god with Allah? Exalted is Allah above all that they associate as partners to Him. The only possible argument that I can find in favor of monism in the Qur'an is Sad (38:72) where it says > So, when I have fashioned [Adam] and breathed into him from *my soul* then fall down to him prostrate. This phrase "my soul" specifically uses the word "Ruhi" in Arabic, for which I have seen several translations, including spirit, soul and even Gabriel (the last one is unlikely here of course). I don't know the meaning of the word and I doubt anyone else does either, as it it said in Al-Isra (17:85) that > And they ask you about the *Ruhi*. Say: the *Ruhu* is of the Command of my Lord [meaninig the knowledge of which is only with my Lord] and you have not been given of knowledge but a little. It is this question of "human divinity" that I have been pondering, especially because it seems to be a rising belief among "spiritual" non-Muslims (though this is just a personal impression).
