Assalamu Alaykom If someone who used to say that homosexuality is halal to others, but they grew up and repented and now they know that it is haram and they regret ever saying that it is halal, will Allah forgive them? That person was heavily misguided and badly influenced by a circle of friends with whom they stopped talking to and hanging out with it. That person knows that it is haram and that it is a major sin but they used to say that it is halal. Does Allah forgive that?

I have been married for 7 years and Alhamdulillah I have a wonderful husband. However, from initial stage of marriage, I have difficulties adjusting with my in laws, specially my mother in law. She is not evil but I can not tolerate her for long time like more than weeks. Because she has a habit of changing things around and she always mess up my home without my permission, takes things without asking me. And also always interfere where I go and indirectly lectures me and wants me to cook and all. And since she tried to be typical from beginning, I could not accept her whole heartedly. I have never interfered if my husband fulfils his obligations towards them but I never wants to live near them. Since I have moved abroad and they are also coming here, I do not want to live in same city as them (they have other children here). If I pray to Allah to not have a situation where I have to live with or near them since situation of living with or near them always creates problem between my husband and me, will I be sinner?

So I this year was my first fast, since I had turned 12 this year. And got in puberty, so basically, I woke up and asked my mother what time it was. Thinking it would be very late like 3 am. She first said 3 am, but then she corrected herself and said 5:30, I never did suhoor, since I never knew when Fajr started. So I thought it still hadn’t started, after that I went to the kitchen and drank some water, I was really thirsty so I drank much water I filled my glass once more, and got a doubt. I fully realized it was 5:30’ish what I didn’t realize before since I was half awake. I kinda schrugged it of, thinking of it as only a doubt, untill my last glass I drank it nervously, feeling ashamed. I questioned myself if suhoor has actually ended. It was the most likely since it ended. I was really ashamed after that I really really hoped and made dua that suhoor has not ended. Then I say it, it had ended. Is my fast broken?

I'm a socially conscious musician. I rhyme about things that occur in society in order to bring awareness. I don't swear in my music nor do I encourage anything that is un-islamic, in my lyrics. A lot of my music has positive messages for society. I've recently employed someone to manage my gigs and recordings. I sometimes have to perform at venues where they serve alcohol. These institutions pay me for a gig and some of that money is obviously acquired with the sale of alcohol. What can I do with that money? Is that money considered haram for me to spend? If so, what can I do with it? Can I give it to a beggar? I know that money earned out of interest can be used to build a toilet for a community. I don't know if I will get that amount of money to build such a structure so some realistic ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does this hadith (Aisha and the 11 housewives) prove that Music is allowed in islam? And how does it relate to other hadith?
the two hadith in question are ( Aisha and the 11 housewives) ->[Sahih al-Bukhari 5189 Book 67, Hadith 123](https://sunnah.com/bukhari/67/123) & ->[Sahih Muslim 2448a Book 44, Hadith 135](https://sunnah.com/muslim:2448a) & ->[Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 252 Book 38, Hadith 1](https://sunnah.com/sha...

The tenth one said: My husband is Malik, and how fine Malik is, much above appreciation and praise (of mine). He has many folds of his camel, more in number than the pastures for them. When they (the camels) hear the sound of music/lute/tambourine/flute ( الْمِزْهَرِ) they become sure that they are going to be slaughtered. So basically, my logic tells me that the people of Mecca/Medina apparently listened to the sound of the flute/lute/tambourine before they would slaughter camels and have dinner festivals (and this practice happened during the jahil, ignorance, time peroid and while the prophet was sill alive). Mizhar (الْمِزْهَرِ) means lute or a string instrument like a guitar or oud but can also mean tambourine or flute (مِزْمرِ) was mentioned in another narration. There is not mention of silk, wine, or sexual intercourse in the hadith above just only the musical insturment and feast gathering (since all hadith on the prohibition of musical interments always include prostitutes and alcohol). Because the 5590 hadith in bukhari mentions after the death of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) people will legalize the four things (silk, wine, fornication, musical instruments). But the musical insturments is happening during the time of the prophethood according the the above hadith, so how do we interpert ma'azif ( وَالْمَعَازِفَ ) if apparently wind and string insturments are supposedly haram, but here string instruments are being used when slaughtering camels? The prophet pbuh did not condemn festivals/dinner gatherings with music involved in authentic hadith. And the hadith above is authentic in both Bukhari and Muslim unlinke the 5590 hadith in bukahri which is only authentic is bukhari collection (and some scholars criticized it's authenticity). neither Aisha nor prophet muhammad (pbuh) critized the tenth wife or abu malik for playing the mizhar (الْمِزْهَرِ) so are insturments haram? And what does this mean for the alleged consensus that all companions of the prophet pbuh believed that music was sinful. Does this hadith cancel the consensus notion?

Actually, this came to me when I was watching some shieks talking about music status in Islam, and referring to the famous hadith that says: > There will be a group of my people who will make permissible for themselves adultery, pure silk, intoxicants and musical instruments (English ). Now, some scholars say that because this hadith make it clear that musical instruments are not permissible, then it is haram. What I know is that things and matters can be in one of three states regarding permissibility: Halah, Haram, and In Between. Now, the above mentioned hadith says musical instruments are not permissible (Halal), but that doesn't mean it is Haram as there is another category, In Between. The question again: **If something is not Halal, does that mean it's Haram?**

So assuming the discussion concludes in the result of music being haram; 1) What to do with the instruments at home? Throw them away like alcohol or can they stay just there untouched (except occasional dust cleaning). 2) What to do with music you hear unwillingly at work/in the market/on the street etc. Should we really put our fingers into our ears? (Which is very difficult if you have a hijab on your head btw.)

I am not that a particularly devout person but I wish to become more devout. I used to play music a lot but since it is haram, I left it. Before, apart from my studies and salat, I used to play music in my free time. But after leaving it I am becoming addicted to pornography and I am missing my salat. Before leaving music I used to pray salat and saum regularly, never forgot them, and I never saw porn before. But after leaving music I am going further astray day by day. As long as I play music, I don't feel it has any bad effect over me. I was religious, meritorious and honest by the grace of Almighty Allah but now the scene is opposite. Should I return playing music occasionally as it only made be better?

One of you should pray in good spirits. When he is lazy or tired, he should sit down. (sunnah.com ) I've always envisioned the Prophet as having the utmost highest standards of prayer. So this maybe is not regular behavior. **Question**: Is it acceptable to pray sitting down because of laziness?

I heard it takes 3 sentences minimum to describe taqwa. Please indicate if the following is correct. My son asked so it is important that it is. 1. To worship Allah only and obey all of Allah's requirements for Islam as shown by our prophet (pbuh). 2. To abstain from anything that is Haram. 3. To abstain from anything that is makru (questionable )

When there are already 1000 questions are the islam.StackExchange, I found it interesting to ask the question 1001 about 1001 names of Allah: There is a Du'a narrated from Imam Ali-ibn-Hussain from prophet Muhammad (PBUH) called Joushan Kabir Dua (this links contain Du'a in Arabic, English and Persian) that is 100 parts, each containing 10 beautiful names of Allah. Also part 55 contains 11 names, so the total names of Allah in this Du'a will be 1001. I found calling Allah by 1001 names not only an very good way to ask him my needs - specially in Qadr nights, but also a excellent way to think and learn better about my Lord. So my question is: How many names are provided for Allah (Asma-ul-Husna) in Hadith or Sunnah? Is there any name of Allah missing from this great Du'a, or is there any other source with more names of Allah? If not, maybe we can consider these 1001 names are all the names Muslims know about Allah.
