And we promised each other not to come close to each other until we marry And by the grace of Allah we're fullfilling it and we will insha'Allah . And as far as I know these type of relationships are not permissible if one thinks he may fall to the worst sin (zina). Is it permissible because it protects both of us from many sins (e.g masturbation, pornography etc)?

Assalamualikum brother and sister,
I am so ashamed to ask for a solution to my problem, but I hope I can get an answer.
When I was like around 12 years old, I was sexually harassed by a married man. That time, I didn't knew anything about sex or about kissing. So, I was harassed for a few months and I never protested or pushed away that man because I didn't knew what he was doing to me. The only that I knew was that I hated what he was doing to me.
After a few years after the sexual harassment, I got to know about sex and began to regret everything that he did to me. I began to feel impure. We never had sex or he never saw me naked. But he did touch me and that made me feel so impure that I couldn't stop him from doing those things to me because I didn't know what he was doing to me.
After that, I began to get high sexual urges. I tried to stop myself, but I had friends who would read books containing mature scenes. I began to read books with mature scenes and my sexual urges began to rise more. I didn't want to have sex before marriage as it is haram, so I began to write books where I wrote highly sexual scenes. I even watched videos with highly mature scenes.
A few months after I wrote those books and published it only under my pen name, I felt guilty and I stopped writing those books. I even stopped watching those mature scene videos and I kept myself busy which is why I stopped having such urges.
But recently, I am 18 and even though I am busy, I get really sexual urges. I don't want to commit the sin of having sex before marriage, but, I don't want to get married right now. I know that marriage is a solution but I feel like I am too young for marriage and I feel so impure and ashamed of myself. I even feel like when I get married in future, Insha Allah, my husband might hate me.
I don't know what to do, so it would be helpful if you have an answer for me.

I met an atheist girl online about 2 months playing video games and we got along pretty well very quickly. Quite quickly the situation got seriously and we had thoughts about meeting up (she is in another country). This is when I brought up things like religion and parents as I saw this going into a more serious direction. She said that she was willing to learn about the religion. She even bought an English translated Quran and asked me questions about it here and there. Despite her willingness to commit, I knew that we had to essentially ‘date’ beforehand. I knew that this is forbidden and even if I tried to keep it halal, I had a feeling it would fall into haram at some point.
I would need to date her for a couple of years as I’m not ready nor is she ready to marry. Then of course this wouldn’t work without ever planning a meet up.
I like her a lot. The talks we have are amazing. We had plan to meet up but I left before we ever did. I told her that it is against my religion and called it quits before anything major happened.
There is also the less major issue which is parents. She is currently atheist but has looked into religion before. There is also an ethic difference which I’m sure my parents won’t be happy about. I would like their consent with the person i do end up marrying.
Did i do the wrong thing? She was willing to learn and become Muslim. My biggest concern is that I just won’t meet anyone that I get along with like I do with her. Was she written for me? Or was it a test from Allah?

**Expect one male, all others are muslims..**
and its noted that now when i talk to them, i dont feel happy anymore.. like it causes me stress.. but i also dont want to stay apart from them.. however when i leave, it gives me a peace of mind.
**What do u think i should do?**
And when i talk to them.. My imaan becomes weak :(
tho i still havent figured out why..
and there is always debates going on with the muslim friends and non muslim friend about why he should become a muslim.. tho they insult each other while they are at it.. and he debates why they should not trust on the religion.. its been stressful
These days I have been getting more interested in Islam Alhamdhu'lilah and because of a post i saw that says we shouldnt talk to opposite genders.. I cutted my contact with them.. but i feel bad.. **so i dont really know what to do..**
**Is talking to them Haram?**
we treat each other as Family..like brothers and sisters
and we know each other's all the secrets and thoughts.. so on..
**So what do you think i should do in this situation?**

It is very clear that Quran forbids intercourse between man and woman before marriage.
However, when it comes to **relationships**, the only close reference I have from Qu'ran is that we should "lower our gaze and guard our sexual organ", but so far I didn't see any **direct** forbiddence in being in a relationship with a girl which does not involve any haram interactions.
There are many many rulings on dating and relationships by various people, fatwās, and scholars, such as [this](http://caliph.wordpress.com/articles/boy-girl/) . But very little citation is **directly from Quran**. I want to say that I trust only in Allah and his Angels, the Holy Quran, and Prophet Muhammad, but not in any other worldly people when it comes to how to live my life.
So my question is, is there any direction citation from the Holy Quran, or Prophet Muhammad (but no more than these two) that talks explicitly about:
1) What are haram interactions apart from anything to do with sexual organs according to Quran? (Such as, kissing, holding hands, cuddling, meeting in private etc)
2) Forbidding relationship between men and women which does not involve any haram interactions before marriage.

Why exactly is it haram to have a girlfriend?
I don't really understand why it is haram to have a relationship with the opposite sex (with no sexual intercourse), or even just be friends. If I meet a girl, I would like to get to know her before getting married, and risk a miserable life with an incompatible partner.

NewMuslims.com lists five qualities Muslim men should look for when seeking a wife: 1. Taqwa (piety), 2. Affectionate nature, 3. Obedience, 4. Patience, 5. Contentment.
If a Muslim woman was interested in a particular man becoming her future husband, it would therefore be good for her to demonstrate these qualities to him. It seems difficult to demonstrate a willingness to become an obedient wife, however.
**Question**: How can a Muslim woman indicate her willingness to be an obedient wife to a prospective husband?
My impression is that Muslim men seem to value obedience. RomanticMuslim.com 7 Things Your Muslim Husband Won’t Tell You writes "above all, he desires your respect" and even quotes Qur'an 3:43 "...So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband’s] absence what Allah would have them guard...".
