Surat Ali `Imran 3/55 : > ˹Remember˺ when Allah said, “O Jesus! I will take you1 and raise you > up to Myself. I will deliver you from those who disbelieve, and > elevate your followers above the disbelievers until the Day of > Judgment. Then to Me you will ˹all˺ return, and I will settle all your > disputes. I want to know here, who are the followers whom will be elevated. Is it Christians or Muslims or both. If, it includes Christians then of what type. Does it include monotheists Christians only or even those who believe in trinity and other ideas? Does it include monotheists Jews? Who are the "disbelievers" over whom the "followers" will be elevated.

Is it halal to eat meat from the People of the Book if we aren't sure if the slaughtering was proper?

My spouse and I are having a friendly debate on this topic. We both understand that the Qur’an permits the food of the People of the Book, but we differ on what that means in practice today. - Her view: We can't be sure if the animal was slaughtered according to Islamic requirements (e.g., invoking Allah’s name, proper method, etc.), so the meat might not be halal. - My view: If we don’t know exactly how it was slaughtered, we can still say “Bismillah” before eating and it becomes halal, based on the hadith where the Prophet ﷺ said: > The Prophet's Companions once complained to him and said: "We receive meat and we do not know if God's name has been invoked on > it." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Recite God’s name and eat of it." (Narrated in Bukhari) Could someone please explain why scholars differ? Why do some scholars rely on this hadith and others seem to disregard it? I’m originally from the U.S and the opinion I follow is commonly practiced here that meat from the People of the Book is generally permissible if we don’t have clear evidence that it’s haram and we can eat it as long as we say bismillah. My wife is from Southeast Asia, where the more cautious view is followed that meat is only halal if we are sure it was slaughtered properly according to Islamic guidelines. I’d really appreciate understanding why these differences exist across regions. Thank you for your time. Jazakallah Khair

Attributes of Allah similar to creation in purpose?
Someone asked me this and I don't really have an answer to this, they asked that if there is nothing similar to Allah (SWT) then for example speech Allah's (SWT) speech is nothing like ours but there is a similarity in purpose which is communication, so does this count as a similarity?

According to fatwa if husband says talaq to wife in state of purity but they had relations the previous night, our of anger as there was a heated argument, is this talaq valid. This happened on many occasions as my husband has a temper problem. He mentioned talaq different occassions but this all happened where we had relations the day before. I am really confused because the local sheikh says its valid and doesnt listen to the facts of how it happened and when it happened. Local sheikh says that even if woman is in state if purity and even if the couple had intercourse the day before the talaq, that the talaq is valid. Could someone please advise, as I am already packing my belongings and making plans to move out.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah, I understand that a cow can be divided among up to 7 people. But what if a large extended family wants to participate and mentions more than 7 names? If some of those named are children or elders who are financially dependent, and not paying for a share, is it still valid? Is the rule about 7 people based on names or financial shares? I want to ensure our Qurbani is valid and not done incorrectly. Answer from Qur'an and Authentic Sunnah and what Salaf-e-Saliheen used to do. Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

I’m a 16 year old girl (turned 16 about a month and a couple of days ago) and about a couple of years ago (1-3) I heard that not having your dads last name was a sin/wrong and that there was a punishment for it/not being able to enter jannah. For reference I was raised by my mother and my father is not in my life. But he was given a choice when I was born to write his name/last name down by my name but he expressed that he did not want me to have his name. So my mother wrote my uncle’s last name (they are full siblings but my uncle has a different name then his real one his documents) so that if something happened to her I would go to him. Now the country I live in needs the father’s signature if I want to change my last name to his name (I do believe that only when you’re a minor ) but I do not have contact with him, and have not seen him since my 4th birthday (I can count on 1 hand how many times I have met him (5) ) but when you turn 18 you have the freedom to change your name to whatever you want (though it takes a couple of months). Now we come to what I wanted to ask is it permissible to change my last name to my maternal grandfather’s name and last name (his name is Hassan mohamud). Ps I want reply’s with proof of it being permissible/haram and I would appreciate it if a sheikh or Islamic teacher could answer this since I want an educated opinion.

Even if my intention is not to do these sins and i dont believe even a little bit in these acts, just doing it to advance in the game For example, im pretty sure that killing in a game is not considered killing in real world, but knowledge of magic and consulting an oracle, i think there is more depth on the subject

Is intentionally lucid dreaming about clapping a woman haram?
I am a proud-to-be Muslim (which means I believe in Islam), and I recently had a lucid dream, and I have always wanted to see porn in there (because normal porn is haram). I was clapping a woman there. I did not wake up until 10 seconds or so. So the point is was that haram?

So I was reading this article , and I read these 2 ahadith in it. and it goes like this, > Allah created some people for hell and some people for paradise. My initial understanding of this hadith was that, as people live out their lives. The people who do good will goto heaven and people who do bad will goto hell, both groups of people are given free will. So it is very fair and I dont have any issue with it. but then this next hadith confuses me, > Each one of you will find it easy to do what he was created for. This above hadith makes it sound very unfair to me, for example lets say I was created for hell that means God created a **tendency** in me to commit sins and made it harder for me to do good deeds. While the people God chose for heaven, he made a **tendency** in them to do good deeds and made it hard for them to commit sins. So this kind of negates the whole **free will** thing. It basically means that God has chosen favourites and the system is **rigged** as the chances of person created for Hell commiting sins **by design** is higher than the chances for person created for Heaven to commit sins. Also can be intrepreted as not all humans were created equal, as it is unfair towards the person created for Hell, as God literally made it easier for him to commit sins at no fault of his. I am a Muslim and I believe in Allah and his Prophet (PBUH) and this hadith could be weak or I am misinterpreting it, so please if anybody knows, can you please clarify for me. Thank you

If I can't afford 50,000 outright, I have other option to buy a vehicle but EMI (paying monthly installments like 2,000(INR)) An equated monthly installment (EMI) is defined by Investopedia as: > "A fixed payment amount made by a borrower to a lender at a specified date each calendar month. Equated monthly installments are used to pay off both interest and principal each month, so that over a specified number of years, the loan is paid off in full." Assalamualaikum There is an authentic hadith in Sunan an-Nasa'i 3221 >Narrated 'Abdullah bin Buraidah: It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said: "Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, proposed marriage to Fatimah but the Messenger of Allah said: 'She is young.' Then 'Ali proposed marriage to her and he married her to him." Some people use this hadith to criticize the Prophet’s ﷺ own marriage to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), claiming a contradiction: Why did the Prophet ﷺ reject Abu Bakr and Umar’s proposals due to Fatimah’s young age, yet he himself married Aisha at a young age

As far as I know, a Jinn is of a race that Allah has made out of (pure, smokeless) fire just like humans where made by Him out of clay. Reading recent questions, and old ones "botted up" by the Community Bot, most of them looking like asking for personal advice, often asking about jinns. I cannot help but feel that there is some misunderstanding of jinns in common folklore and what is really based on Islam. From the questions, it looks like jinns are looked on as a kind of devils, bringing harm, bad luck and nightmares. From my very, very bad translation of the Quran I once had I remember a Sura where Prophet Muhammad stated that when he was speaking, there was also a number of jinns present. So they cannot be all that bad, not all of them. Sorry if I can't make a clear and unambiguous question out of my thoughts. I will sharpen it if someone can direct me.

Boycott America?
If we buy products of USA, they earn money. The more they earn money, the more they pay tax. And as far as I know, a portion of tax from USA is going to Israel, which might be used to kill innocent people of Palestine. So should we boycott American products as well, according to Islam?
