Is violence especially discouraged during Ramadan?
I've heard people talk about Ramadan as a month that's meant to be peaceful, but I'm worried that they may be Christians who think that if Christmas is supposed to be peaceful, then the same must be true about Ramadan.
I tried looking at the "religious practices" and "crime" sections of Wikipedia's Ramadan article, but couldn't find anything.
Also, are individuals deciding to engage in, or exhorting others to engage in, lesser jihad specifically during Ramadan a modern phenomenon, or did it happen in historical times?

Did Ibn Abbas RA say that only 4 types of food were prohibited and nothing else?
In the book "The lawful and prohibited" by sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi, he cites an opinion from Ibn Abbas that only 4 types of food are prohibited as mentioned in the verse "Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal...
In the book "The lawful and prohibited" by sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi, he cites an opinion from Ibn Abbas that only 4 types of food are prohibited as mentioned in the verse "Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."
According to Ibn 'Abbas, nothing is haram other than the four categories mentioned in the Qur'an, while what the Prophet (pbuh) forbade, such as beasts of prey, are to be regarded as makruh (detestable) rather than reaching the degree of haram. Said ibn 'Abbas,
"The people of the time of Jahiliyyah ate certain foods and avoided others, according to their whim. Then Allah sent His Prophet (pbuh) and revealed His Book, and He legislated what is permissible and what is prohibited. Accordingly, what He permitted is halal, what He prohibited is haram , and that concerning which He was silent is allowed.
Ibn 'Abbas then recited.
4 Say: I do not find in what is revealed to me anything prohibited to an
eater in his food...
(Al-An'am: 145) (2)
On the basis of this verse, Ibn 'Abbas argued that the flesh of domesticated donkeys is permissible. Imam Malik agrees with him on this matter, considering beasts of prey makruh rather than haram.

The footnote on the bottom says this was a saying of Ibn Abbas recorded in Abu Dawud although the exact reference number was not given. Is this authentic and where can I find it?

Why Al-Maidah verse 5:90 described Satan like a real person?

Since childhood, I have been taught about the Satan. Satan is a creature of the unseen and its task is to tempt humans to deny Allah. They're the real enemy to all humans.
But when I read Surah Al-Maidah verse 5:90, it mentions among the deeds of Satan, drinking alcohol, gambling, idol worship, and seeking omens. These are all actions performed by humans, not by unseen beings, let alone those whose specific task is to tempt the mankind.
So is that mean the Satan is actually referred to real humans physically, and the actual meaning of the clear enemy (mubeen) is the visible enemy in front of our eyes, which humans can clearly and distinctly recognize?

Salam. I am a student who needs an internship and it’s hard to get one in my field but for now it looks like I can land a potential internship at Amnesty and they are known for constantly and actively supporting LGBTQ among other haram things. The main reason I want this internship is because they do a lot for the genocide in Palestine when it comes to spreading info and researching, and this is what I wanna work on with them (or other halal Muslim-related problems). An internship is also not payed work so I’m working for free. Is it haram to work here for an internship, or even do payed work (if I ever get a job offer here) if it’s about issues like the Palestinian genocide?

Why did the Prophet wait three years to battle them, while during this time the Meccans were hostile to the Prophet and the Muslims and killed many of them during these three years?

Also Allah doesn't describe hur al ayn as fair complexioned, He says they are beautiful thereby negating the "superiority" of fair complexion or light skin.

I have read the complete story of how Dajjal would come and rule over the whole world except for mecca and medina
It is also mentioned that these 40 days would be different then other days because the one day would be like one year, next one would be like one month, next one would be like one week and remaining 37 days would be normal days.
As it is mentioned that one day from 40 days would be like one year, **does it mean that the whole day from morning to night will complete in one year?**

I am afraid that this is seen as a mockery of Allah and that it takes me out of the religion. What should I do in such a situation? Am I out of the religion because of these thoughts?

Does act of creation violate tawhid?
If, in the beginning, there was nothing but God, how could God have created anything, unless God created it from himself? And if God did make creation from himself, wouldn’t that violate the oneness and unity of God by dividing God between Creator and creation?

Quran 4:59 says obey those who are in authority over you (ulil amr)
Quran 4:34 says men are incharge of women.
Further a hadith tells men are like a shepherd for his sheep.
> All of you are shepherds and every one of you is responsible for his herd. **A leader is a shepherd, a man is the shepherd over his family** and a woman is the shepherd over her husband’s house and his children. So all of you are shepherds, and every one of you is responsible for his herd (Muslim)
Since it is evident that man has authority over his household, can it be construed that ***ulil amr mentioned in 4:59 also encompasses husband/father at their capacities?***

I am a good Muslim, or so I hope. I always prayers on time, read Quran, don't listen to music, and am kind to my family and friends. However, recently I have been feeling nothing in my heart when I am reminded of Allah SWT unlike how I used to before. I feel like I'm looking for the approval of people now more than ever before. And recently I had sinned, yet I felt nothing. I still repented, of course, but I fear where I'm heading if I stay like this. I felt no guilt for the sin I committed and had to force myself to feel any sort of emotion. I really need help on this matter.

(I am not sure if this type of questions are allowed or encouraged, because it is mainly a language-related question. If not, please tell me and I delete.)
I am trying understand the second part of what Yusuf said. I am NOT asking whether Yusuf meant they were actually prostrating or not, or related discussions. To better express myself, let me give some examples in English:
1. I saw they JUMPED.
2. I saw them JUMPING.
3. I saw them as JUMPERS.
(1) is like you are describing a moment. (2) is like you describing a duration. (3) is like you are describing a job, routine, or whatever.
My questions are: as to the second part of what Yusuf said (I saw them prostrating to me) and with the examples above in mind: in how many ways could Yusuf have said what he has said, and what would they mean?
