What does it mean to 'act upon' after memorizing all of the Quran?
When someone memorizes the whole Quran they will go to heaven. But I read somewhere that only those who memorize the whole Quran and act upon it will go to heaven. What does act upon it mean? When someone memorizes the whole Quran they will go to heaven.
But I read somewhere that only those who memorize the whole Quran and act upon it will go to heaven.
What does act upon it mean?
For example does it mean that I should do what the Quran tells me to do (don't gamble or drink alcohol...etc).
And does it mean that if I memorize the whole Quran I should share it to the world, for example lead people in prayer?
But what if i'm a woman? What can a woman who memorized the Quran do to act upon it?

From what I've learned, Muhammad was revealed the Quran over 23 years from angel Gabriel, and he told it to his companions who memorized it through rhythmic chants and such, and this memorization technique seems to have been common in ancient pre-islamic Arabia. Only after Muhammads death it seems that it was written down.
My question is, what were the exact techniques used to memorize the verses of the Quran. How did this work? Is there a known rhythm or way of singing or chanting them? If so, where can I learn this rhythm?

The one instance in [Hafs 'an 'Asim](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hafs) occurs in Surah Hud, [verse 41](https://quran.com/en/hud/41) , but where does the one instance in [Qalun 'an Nafi'](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qalun) occur? If it's the same verse, is the Qalun version of the imala recited in the same way as the one in Hafs? I would especially appreciate a link to a qari reciting the verse in Qalun as I've been unable to find one on YouTube.

Is memorizing Quran easier if you know the Arabic language?
If so should I learn Arabic first before starting to memorize the Surahs of the Quran. What is the best approach?
[**Please Note**: I would like to get an expert advise from a Hafiz who's mother tongue is not Arabic. Such a person best suits my situation. Not just answers based on personal opinions]
By the way is there a way to authenticate such an answer ?

Does memorizing the Qur'an, but parts of it in different rewayat still make you a Hafiz?
If someone memorized half of the Qur'an (from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah Al-Kahf) in Hafs 'an 'Assim, and then memorized the other half (from Surah Maryam to Surah An-Nas) in Warsh 'an Naafi'. Does he still count as a Hafiz or does he have to repeat memorizing the first half in Warsh?

Certainly memorizing the Qur'an is a good deed and highly recommended. I remember having read some statements of the sahaba (in the book hayat as-Sahaba: the life of the companions) saying that one should learn/memorize certain surahs, for example surat an-Nisa' because it covers the topic of heritage and so on.
So which surahs have been recommended to memorize for fiqh (knowledge about the halal and haram and about the rules of Allah) reasons in first place and by whom?
Please consider adding evidences: who said one should learn the surah's x,y,z and where is it covered!

An example of the first verse of sura Al NISA is here (with bold text being the extra text)
So my question is: Is there a problem in memorizing it the "incorrect way" I am used to listening to?
Actually it is stuck in my head for years now and sometimes I am not sure how this could be doing me any harm.

**Question**: Does someone who has memorized the Qur'an still need to read it?
I'm wondering if these people still need to bother reading a hard copy of the Qur'an. What's the point if they've memorized it? Perhaps there's some practical reasons (e.g. imperfect memorization) or perhaps there's a more spiritual reason to actually read the Qur'an as a physical object.
