Assalamualaikum, I just want to know about can we work in conventional bank in an organisation where we have to work as fraud risk analyst where customers has file a complaint about fraud has happened to his her bank account then we have to do a research of fraud which is happened in the customer account and here we are not dealing any interest based transaction just we research the details and updating to the customer this transaction which was happened through your account is fraud. If it was a customers fault then customer have to bare his/her loss of the transaction or due to some technical issue or other things where customer fault is not there then we just update the details to customer it's not your fault then bank reverse the loss amount to customers account.

The company is a 'financial experience company'. Essentially what they do is provide digital banking solutions to financial institutions, including banks and other fintechs. Here's a breakdown of what they offer: Digital Banking Platforms: They provide software that allows financial institutions to offer online and mobile banking services, including account management, bill pay, and transfers. Lending Solutions: They help banks and credit unions streamline their lending processes, from loan applications to origination and servicing. Payments and Transfers: They offer solutions for handling various payment types, such as checks, ACH transfers, and P2P payments. Data Analytics: They provide tools to help financial institutions analyze customer data and gain insights into their behavior, preferences, and needs. Fraud Prevention: They offer solutions to help protect financial institutions and their customers from fraud. They simply sell the platforms and software that allow the institutions to do all this stuff in a good looking UI. Would working at this company in IT be permissible? To be clear this company does not provide any financial services itself. The only part of it that might deal directly with riba is the lending solutions part. Which is what I'm worried about.

This is only for my bank statement to show for study visa, applying for United Kingdom.

Asslamualikum! I was a finance student back 2 years ago. You know that doing job in a bank is haram as it involves Interest so due to this reason my aim was to do a job in a company as they aren't indulge in interest. But my father wanted me to do a job in a bank as there was a reference. But I refused from day one due to above mentioned reasons. And got a job in a Cargo company as Data entry specialist. My father become unhappy as so my whole family. Things become more worse when I discover my colleagues having poor and absurd mentality in the company. But still I was happy that I was doing a Halal job. But after 3 months a rider and then my director sales harassed me. Due to which I got Bipolar mental disorder. And I have to be admitted in hospital for 10 days and left job eventually. Now I want to ask you is that was a punishment from Allah not obeying my father as I haven't recovered yet. Whenever I find a new job (after that incident) I got fired after some months. I used to listen that when you avoid haram things and do halal things Allah become happy but I am puzzled on the things happening around me. Please guide me for the sake of Allah I am completely hopeless. Please reply me it would be a great help.

I wanna ask, I currently left a job at bank, (due to it being riba based) and recently I got hired in a Real Estate company, after I joined, I came to learn that my job role i.e. Telecalling for Real Estate clients is apparently illegal in the region I work in, there are hefty fines if cold call recipient complaints to govt, however, for the most part, people do not complain, (even if they do, the company is fined, not the agent, and the company is ok with that risk) pretty much all real estate companies are doing this cold calling - which allows them to connect to potential sellers and connect them to buyers. Some people however, do not like us calling them, get bothered, however, if someone does show annoyance, we don't call them and keep their contact highlighted to not contact them. Would doing this job be haram? (Alternatively, until I found this job, I was providing car pool services to people since cab is very expensive and making money like that) which is also illegal as per law. I am studying at the moment and hope to get a good job once my studies are completed, but still I want my earnings to be halal, but this is my situation. Please advise.

I have my money in a bank where you can put your money in a savings account or current account. The bank gives interest every 1 January for both accounts, but current account has lower percentage interest compared to savings account. In Islam, interest/riba is haram,so I contacted the bank and asked if there is any way to avoid the interest but they say no. I could change banks, but I live in Sweden and here there is no Islamic bank, and all banks give interest. All major banks (and maybe all minor banks) in Sweden have introduced 0.25-0.30% interest on current accounts. I know of a small bank that doesn't give interest on current account but I don't know if I can trust them with my money. Can I wait and receive the interest and then donate it, or will I still be punished for it? I don't know what to do and am very afraid that this is not allowed.

A similar question has been asked here about transferring funds through PayPal but the purpose in this question is different: it is about buying something (or paying for something you are going to get in future) and not about pure funds transfer from one account to another. There are two main ways to send money through PayPal: 1. Sending money to friends and family - without paying any fees on any side 2. Sending money to pay for goods and services - only the seller pays a fee: **3.4% + fixed fee** (percentage and the fixed fee vary from country to country); the use of this kind of transaction is when you are sending money to a seller you don't know and you are not sure if the seller will actually ship you the item you agreed upon (could be over eBay, Facebook marketplace, or any other kind of market, as far as I know). If the seller doesn't ship you the item, or the item is does not match the agreed description then you have right to make a claim on PayPal and PayPal is going to refund you (whereas with the first option (Sending money to friends and family) this is not possible). Is the way number 2 of sending money through PayPal permissible in Islam? To me this seems to be somewhere between a pure funds transfer and some kind of insurance, but this is only my uneducated guess. Would the ruling change if we were in the role of the seller? Being the seller means you are the one who pays the fee. Change of hands during heirship in Islamic economics

I recently learnt (from sources like ustad Zaid Patel's course in Hindi/Urdu and Sheikh Bilal in English ) that if a person's income is haram or includes haram, it becomes halal for the other person who exchanges it for an economic activity like selling him something and taking his money in return. In short, haram money becomes halal with the change of hands. And I also learnt that this doesn't work while gifting someone, haram money won't become halal upon gift transfer. My question is about the transfer when money/properties are transferred during wirasat/heirship from a person to his various family members. Does this kind of transfer convert haram into halal?

As-Salamu Alaykum. I am in a dilemma right now. I know that to be considered a halal income source, two conditions must be satisfied: 1. The work itself is not haram. 2. The salary must be from halal source. I have done some research and it's seems that there are different views regarding bank jobs that do not involve dealing with interest directly, like guard job, programmer etc. But even those scholars who support these types of jobs say that it's better to avoid. The question I have is that if I work in a bank as a programmer or as a maintenance engineer and ***I am paid directly by the government and not by the bank***, then would my job be considered completely halal? Will my earnings be considered **completely halal** and not **predominantly halal?** And also is it halal to work in Capital Market related jobs (investment banking, stock market, asset management)?

To take the definition of Murabaha from Wikipedia: > This concept refers to the sale of goods at a price, which includes a profit margin agreed to by both parties. The purchase and selling price, other costs, and the profit margin must be clearly stated at the time of the sale agreement. The bank is compensated for the time value of its money in the form of the profit margin. This is a fixed-income loan for the purchase of a real asset (such as real estate or a vehicle), with a fixed rate of profit determined by the profit margin. The bank is not compensated for the time value of money outside of the contracted term (i.e., the bank cannot charge additional profit on late payments); however, the asset remains as a mortgage with the bank until the default is settled. The "profit margin" is fixed, the purchase and selling price is fixed. In other words, it's reselling something of equal value at a higher price. The definition of Riba (from Wikipedia) is an increase in capital without any services provided and speculation. A definition of Riba, as provided in Sahih Muslim, Book 10, Chapter 19, Number 3846: > Nafi' reported that Ibn 'Umar told him that a person of the tribe of Laith said that Abu Sa'id al-Kludri narrated it (the above-mentioned hadith) from tile Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) in a narration of Qutaiba. So 'Abduliali and Nafi' went along with him, and in the hadith transmitted by Ibn Rumh (the words are) that Nafi' said: 'Abdullah (b.'Umar) went and I along with the person belonging to Banu Laith entered (the house) of Sa'id al-Khudri, and he ('Abdullah b. Umar) said: I have been informed that you say that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbade the sale of silver with silver except in case of like for like, and sale of gold for gold except in case of like for like. Abu Sa'id pointed towards this eyes and his ears with his fingers and said: My eyes saw, and my ears listened to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) saying: **Do not sell gold for gold, and do not sell silver for silver except in case of like for like, and do not increase something of it upon something,** and do not sell for ready money something, not present, but hand to hand.

So in order to get out of this system, I want to migrate to another country that has free from riba system, or at least there is a room to choose between doing riba or to avoid it at all while at the same time I can still progressing in maintaining my financial status.
