Can the Jews and Atheists be forgiven, since Allah might forgive any sins other than Shirk (4:48)?

It literally says that everything can be forgiven except polytheism. So the Jews can also be forgiven? After all, they believe in the one and only God.
And about atheists: it is clear that atheists cannot be forgiven, but why are they not mentioned in this verse?

Where is your God when Muslim women get r***d, or forced to merry violent men, get killed by stones and whip in public???
Omosexual men get biten and killed because your God says Omosexuality is wrong. Who are you to judge them? Who are you to hurt them in the name of your God??
More over: when children back passage is r***d by old men... Where is your God??
She said: Don't waste my time with boring stupid religious answers which includes :
1)God plans for a better life afterwords.
2)god is testing us in this life.
3)is was not God it was the devil.
4)I have got an sheikh who just said 1 and only simple question: WHERE IS YOUR GOD WHEN MUSLIM WOMEN AND CHILDREN GET R***D BY MUSLIM MEN.
WHERE IS THEIR GOD???
I’m really stucked with her because she seems already won’t to believe in this points above, so what the best and fully answer would to share with her?

All other religions such as Christianity are believed to have their books altered (as we believe in Islam) and other religions such as Hinduism are seen as false due to the ideas of demi god. However, atheism hasnt really been addressed in the Quran or hadith because the prophet didnt encounter atheists. What does Islam think is the problem with atheism?
Edit:If clarification is needed for this question please ask. By what is wrong I meant part of the reason we arent christians or hindus is because there are flaws with those religions which is why we go to Islam.

Recently I've been thinking about all the stories about Islam like splitting of the sea, making a stick into a snake etc. What's different between these stories and those of like Greeks they all seem fairytale like. How are these stories of splitting Oceans any different from throwing Lightning bolts etc. If you want to convince someone to believe in these stories it's like trying to believe in the tooth Fairy and so on. What is the difference?
I just find it weird how now that there are more modes of passing evidence even in the prophets time when you could write on pages etc then it was easier to preserve things all these stories have kinda died down. For example the splitting of the moon was seen as more literal but now it's interpreted as an eclipse.
I don't want an answer like "it's all just a test" etc that's not satisfactory.

I went through this antireligious talk of George Carlin where he says that whatever god you believe and to whomever you pray to, there is only 50-50 chance that your prayer gets answered. And he also says that if one can agree that his prayer got unanswered because God willed something better for him, then what is the point in making that prayer in the first place?
Link to the video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8r-e2NDSTuE
I did went through some of the answers already published but I was not satisfied with the explanations written there. So first I apologize for posing another question under the same topic. Hope my doubt may get clarified here.
Let's consider that we did one dua based on the Islamic rulings and within the islamic criteria. Even if that dua is not good for our future (we usually don't know about it). If that dua get unanswered i.e, won't happen the way we wished then what is the point in asking that dua?
For example,
If I were to make a dua that: Oh Allah! Bless me with a baby boy who will strive hard for your cause and who will also work for the upliftement of our society?
And if I were to be blessed with a baby girl. Then as a Muslim we know that this is what Allah intented and from this baby girl Allah may make happen of what I wished. And since it was Allah intention, there could have been any issues if I was blessed with a baby boy and to avoid it he may have blessed me with a baby girl.
But even if that's the case, then what is the point in making that dua? Isn't it better to just have faith that Allah's divine plan is far better than ours and just go with the flow instead of asking dua?
I do know that there is nothing wrong in what I wished. But I do know that it's compulsory to make supplication to Allah for our needs. Please do know that when I meant unanswered I meant the wish didn't happened directly, and I do know that our duas are usually answered either by happening it late or by giving us some deeds for the Hereafter or else by saving us from bad incident.
So this always comes in my mind as to why do I need to ask duas?
Or did I missed something important to know?

Say: "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must put their trust."

Which brings about an interesting question:
**Do any Qur'anic verses address atheists - those who deny the existence of a Divine Being?**

I have always known that Ahl-Al Kittab (people of the book) are free to follow their religion according to their laws within the Islamic State respectfully while paying the Jizya. But what about Atheists and Agnostics and the like under an Islamic State? What laws do they respectfully have while they don't necessarily "believe" in such Divine laws as other religions. Do they have their own man-made secular laws, or automatically under Sharia Law (Which is impossible since They are kaffirs and Sharia is in direct conflict with them)? This goes to all beliefs out there (Communist, Pagan, Polytheist etc.)

Pretty much the title. My Muslim (now ex) college best friend recently turned Atheist and I'm not sure what I should do now. I've tried my best to convince him back to Islam but now after weeks of arguments I'm almost sure he won't be coming back. He says he's only told me and one other friend about this yet. I've heard quite a few times that the penalty of leaving Islam willingly is death so I'm not sure what I should do and who I should tell because after all he's my best friend. I'm afraid if I too will be held responsible if I decide to not do anything. Thanks!

What is the Islamic response to the atheist demand for 'proof' of God?
Can a Muslim prove to an atheist or an infidel that God actually exists? As far as I know most atheists will argue that since they can't hear, see or feel God then He doesn't exist.

I am in love with a woman who is a muslim, however I am not a muslim, I am an atheist. Her family does not agree with our marriage, however we really want to get married to each other. She is 23 and I am 29. She is a strong believer in the islam and she doesn't want to do something wrong. I think she should be able to choose who she wants to marry. I will allow her to go to a mosque and pray however much she wants. She can still be religious and a muslim. But we will not get married in a muslim way (?), we will just get married officially at the register office and not in a church or mosque or anything like that. As I said, her parents do not want her to marry me because I am not a muslim.
Can we get married without it being a sin for her? Is she as a believing muslim allowed to get married to an atheist??
Thank you for answer!

How would a Twelver Shia prove Imam Mahdi's long life to an Atheist?
I have a friend that although born in a Muslim family, will not accept Islamic resources for proof and only accepts reasoning, so how would I prove scientifically Imam Mahdi's long life to him as a Twelver Shia? Quranic reasoning would be appreciated but not required.

To better read and understand the teachings in the Qur'an, as an Atheist, is there anything I should be doing before I start reading? I don't mean wudu, as I already do that, but more along the lines of a mental preparation.
