How would a Twelver Shia prove Imam Mahdi's long life to an Atheist?

I have a friend that although born in a Muslim family, will not accept Islamic resources for proof and only accepts reasoning, so how would I prove scientifically Imam Mahdi's long life to him as a Twelver Shia? Quranic reasoning would be appreciated but not required.
