He is also found in one of the text of a narration in Imam Muwatta here:-

But why did Mullah Ali Qari regarded him as a weak narrator in Mirqat al-Mafatih? Can someone please trace down the following statement from Mullah Ali Qari in his Mirqat al- Mafatih:-
**رواه الترمزي و قال غريب و في اسناده عبد الرحمان بن ابي بكرا المليكي نضعف**
(Mirqat, Volume 5, Page 466)
Thanks.

Did the early Muslims have a tradition of cursing the kuffar during the month of Ramadan?
I came across this report in the Muwatta of Maalik Ibn Anas RH where it says Al A'raj said: >مَا أَدْرَكْتُ النَّاسَ إِلاَّ وَهُمْ يَلْعَنُونَ الْكَفَرَةَ فِي رَمَضَانَ" " ____________________________________________________________________________________ "I never saw the people in Ramadan, excep...

**[ [Source](https://sunnah.com/mishkat:1303) ]** I could not find anything by googling, so I asked some of my friends and the students of Maliki fiqh said they recall this being mentioned in their madhab books, although they could not remember which ones. So I suspect Al A'raj was speaking about the people of Madina although I can't be sure yet. Are there other sources to corroborate/refute/add to this report? To confirm, if the early muslims did indeed have an annual tradition of cursing the Kuffar during the month of Ramadan? jazakallah

I am a Christian girl with two children, going to convert to Islam. I am getting divorced due to my husband's affair. My husband has had a lot of affairs before and after marriage with me. Now I am going to marry my old friend; he is a Pathan . He told me that after talaq with my husband, I have to sleep with someone as a tradition. This is a punishment for my existing husband. I asked him how it will be a punishment for him; it's a punishment for me. I don't want to sleep with anyone. My friend says that, in Islam, it is the tradition in Karachi , Pathan.

Is Adam (a.s.) considered a rasul?

I know that in the Quran that the five messengers: Nuh (A.S.), Ibrahim (A.S.), Musa (A.S.), Isa (A.S.), and Muhammad (S.A.W.) are considered the Ulul'azm Anbiya but I was just wondering if Adam (A.S.) is also considered a rasul or a prophet of a similar stature to these prophets.
This reasoning mainly comes from Surah Al-Imran ayat 33 where it says
> "Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the
> family of 'Imran over the worlds".
Perhaps it is merely a misunderstanding on my part, but does this ayat say that Adam (A.S.) is considered as high a stature of the other rasuls previously mentioned?
If my understanding is incorrect, could you please elaborate on the meaning of this ayat?

Is modest cultural dresses better than simply modest dresses for Muslims?

I have heard that traditional dresses are better for so many people. But each culture has it's own version of traditional. I am a convert; I have been told that Pakistani garments are more modest, that Afghani garments are more modest, that Saudi garments are more modest etc etc.
But they say it is inappropriate for women to wear things that are in their culture men would wear only, like pants from Pakistani culture (though it is traditional for them, women have only worn pants in the west for under a century).
I can not wear thin silks and light cottons in northern Alberta; it seems very non-practical and false of me to wear the garments of other cultures, yet our imam seems to think that more traditional garments are better.
I am thinking a petition in our local mosque encouraging Muslim women who are new to Canada to dress warmly instead of freezing in their cultural clothes with a used winter coat collection for those in need; this has nothing to do with showing skin or not wearing hijab. How would I go about convincing those in need to dress for the cold, so they don't get sick or have to suffer?

I'm not Muslim. I'm Catholic, and Chinese. Although I have many Muslim friends.
I don't know if many Muslims know this, but traditionally, when we Chinese buy a new (cast iron ) wok , we need to break in the wok by using a big piece of pork fat and some garlic chives to vigorously scrub the cooking side of the wok until it's smooth. And then we clean the wok.
The intent is not to eat the pork fat, just to make the wok surface smooth and make frying easier. Ideally, we only need to do it once per new wok.
Does that automatically make wok-based dishes haram?
Does anybody know of alternative ways that Chinese Muslims use to break in new woks?

Giving Sadaghah (alms-giving) is a Mustahab (recommended) act in Islam and according to the traditions it has so thawab (reward).
For instance, look at the following hadith from the Prophet (pbuh) regarding Alms.
The apostle of Allah (pbuh) said:
> The alms(al-Sadaghah) will remove the plagues (Aafaat) from its owner
> and removes the torture of the day judgment.

> Bahar al-Anwar, Vol.96, Pg.129.

But I was wondering if it is permissible to give alms to the addicts? And likewise if Allah will give us all of its thawabs which mentioned in many traditions in the case that we give it to the addicts as poor people?
*(I inquired this question because we can guess (not sure) that addict people will waste their money to buy narcotic substances..)*

I am friends with a Muslim couple who are having a baby. I wrote a song to dedicate to the child in celebration of its upcoming birth. I know roughly what sentiment I want to give for the title of my song.
I am not religious. But I am drawing from what I know. In Christianity, the phrase "A Child Made in God's Image" would be appropriate for my song because Christians believe all men and women are made in God's image. And something that is created in the image of God is pure, holy, and sacred.
I would like to find an equivalent phrase in Arabic that carries the same kind of sentiment in Islam.
# My Question
Can someone provide me with such a phrase to title my song?

There are lots of examples of people getting shoes thrown at them for various disagreements. I recently read this article that presents it as a tradition.
Does someone know of a religious basis for this? (other than shoes being forbidden in mosques)
I am not asking for any moral judgement about shoe-throwing, or about the people receiving shoes in the examples in the links.
Thanks in advance.
Sidenote : This question is not meant to be a critic. Personally, I find throwing shoes during disagreements a quite acceptable "habit". Not only does a shoe do limited harm, but it also gives the time to the thrower to calm down and think about his action while he fetches his shoes back or goes home bare-foot.

**My inquiry is that which sins are related to Satan and which sins are related to carnal soul?
Or even is there any tradition which classified the sins into these two items?**
