I have recently eaten a chicken fillet which was picked up from the tray by a worker who did not change their gloves / wash their hands after touching burger patties. I was just thinking back on this and I am a little stressed that the (halal) chicken may have been contaminated by the (haram) burger patties from residue left on the workers gloves.
would I be in the wrong here? have I consumed haram food through the chicken?

Halal slaughtering of aquatic animals
What is the halal way of slaughtering and eating aquatic animals? The only verse mentioning seafood eating is al-Maidah 5:96 but didn't mention how to slaughter them.

Assalamu Alaikum Brothers in Islam,
I found a narration in '***Behasti Zewar***' in which there has been narated the following without any credentials or sources.
> "Once Hazrat Umme Salma, wife of the prophet Muhammmad( pbuh) received

> No, it is not halal to eat the meat of a dead human being in Islam. The consumption of human flesh is strictly prohibited in Islam, regardless of the circumstances. In the Quran, God states that he has created all of the inhabitants of the earth for the purpose of living in peace and harmony, and that no one has the right to take the life of another person or to consume their flesh. The Prophet Muhammad also taught that the taking of a single human life is equivalent to the destruction of all of humanity, and that the punishment for such a grave sin is severe. As such, it is never acceptable to eat the meat of a dead human being, regardless of the circumstances.
I have been answered by [ChatGPT](https://chat.openai.com/chat) to the question *"Is it halal to eat meat of dead human being if there is nothing to eat in Islam?"*
Do you agree? Why?

I am now in the USA and some places have no halal places at all so it can be difficult at times to eat meat.
I was informed that Allah SWT has given us permission for eating meat which has been permissible to "the people of the book".
- Is this correct?
- If so, does this mean I can go to a restaurant, say Olive Garden (Italian) or Pizza Hut or something like that and can have chicken?
Thank you for clarifications. It makes it difficult when you are in an area that does not have halal places or at least very difficult to access therefore I stick to vegetarian meals.

At the age of 16 I had this one friend in which we both didn't really think about our religion. One night we were at her house and we ordered food from a place that wasn't halal and I'm not saying it was her fault because I was fully aware of my actions and I knew it was haram yet I still did it but I sorta felt as if it was peer pressure from both of us. A year has passed now and I've basically lost contact with her but I've been giving that day a thought and I've never ate unhalal meat again but I regret that day so much and wonder if I'm gonna be punished for it even though I wasn't that aware of the punishments of doing haram things. Also I wanna know if there is a way that I could ask for forgiveness about that specific reason. Any sort of help is accepted thank you!

Looking for references for meat to be valid only if a muslim or ahlu kitab slaughters it

Where ever I read, be it here at stackexchange, or other websites or books, I cannot find any references that really support the claim that the one slaughters animals has to be a muslim (or from ahlu kitab, even here there is different of opinions).
*I am sure there are some references somewhere in the Quran or in the Hadiths, because I cannot believe that so many people just claim this without any support.*
But I am starting to get the feeling that this claim has developed by analogy (qiyas) because I cannot find any text proving otherwise yet.
For instance, in this answer , there are no references at all:
> The person who beheads the animal (either male or female ) must be Muslim .
In this answer too:
> The slaughterer must be either Muslim, Christian, or Jewish.
I could go on and on quoting these claims without any references.
I am looking for references for these claims.
----------
**EDIT**:
I am looking for the basic proof of the argument. I.e the most basic argument with references to the Quran and Sunnah which supports the claim that the one slaughtering has to be muslim. For instance, if the verse **5:3** is the basic verse to prove that only meat slaughtered by muslims is halal, then it's enough with that verse, no need to add the verse 6:121 for instance. But if the scholars think it isn't enough proof with only 5:3, and the also add 6:121, then 5:3 + 6:121 would be the basic proof.

Inshallah brothers and sisters
I work inside a laboratory developing lab grown meats. I want to know if the consumption (and by extension, production) is halal or haram.
For context, I have refrained from trying this meat in case it is Haram (better to be halal than sorry).
The process: We found a chicken who recently had shed a feather, and using science methods we extract the DNA and grow the muscle cells in a big glass bottle, then we filter cells from the growing liquid to make the meat.
The chicken is currently alive, so I am thinking this is halal, but need guidance. However once the chicken dies does it become haram? Do we still have to perform ritual on the chicken, what if they run away?
One of my Muslim friends suggested we are playing God, but we grow Turkeys so big that they cannot physically have sex anymore, but kill them in halal way then it's halal, is this not natural, is it natural that we put chickens in factory farms, factory farms are not designed by God.
Sorry for the long post.
Alhamdulillah

No one can come and try to convince you that eating pork is halal because we know it's completely forbidden. However, how strict are the rules for halal meat?
