Does Qur'an 23:6 talk about "wives" or "spouses" in إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ?
Qur'an 23:6 has varying translations (see [Islam Awakened][3]): > إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ > > **except with their wives**, and what their right hands possess for then they are free from blame, -- Wahiduddin Khan > > **except with thei...

But in the second case, it refers to "spouses". I put أَزْوَاجِهِمْ into Google Translate , and it says "their husbands", but that's not listed among the Islam Awakened translations. **Question**: Does Qur'an 23:6 talk about "wives" or "spouses" in إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ?

I found the following evidence: > - A lady came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I have come to you to offer myself to you." He raised his eyes and looked at her and then lowered his head. ... (Sahih al-Bukhari) > > - I was in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) when there came a man and informed him that he had contracted to marry a woman of the Ansar. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Did you cast a glance at her? He said: No. He said: Go and cast a glance at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar. (Sahih Muslim) > > - When one of you asked a woman in marriage, if he is able to look at what will induce him to marry her, he should do so. He (Jabir) said: I asked a girl in marriage, I used to look at her secretly, until I looked at what induced me to marry her. I, therefore, married her. (Sunan abi Dawod) ...'When Allah causes a man to propose to a woman, there is nothing wrong with him looking at her.' (Sunan ibn Majah) This stresses the importance of a man looking at the shape of his future wife's body to avoid any problems after marriage. How much of her body can he see? Hair? Arms and Legs? In tight clothing? Naked? Question: What parts of the body is a man allowed to see when deciding whether to marry the woman or not?

I've asked this question before, and I want to reiterate it to clear up some misconceptions. Please do not immediately downvote this post (most people do), and read it in full before making any judgment. From my last question and in my research, I have found that the judgment of wearing clothes is dependent on custom. This means that if a majority of men were to wear women's underwear, it would be fully lawful in Islam to wear them as it would not be considered imitation of the other gender. **First question, is my conclusion above true? If not, why?** Men have started to wear women's underwear, purely for their soft fabric and fun colors. There are several websites that promote men to do this, and several social media sites prove that it is becoming slowly becoming common for men to wear women's underwear. I personally enjoy wearing them simply because they are extremely comfortable and have 10 times better colors than men's underwear. It's not clothing that is apparent outward, since it is just underwear. For the context of this question, I am referring to only panties. They do cover me just as well as men's underwear do. I would like to clear up any misconceptions I have. If you do downvote this question as everyone automatically does, please comment your reason.

Is it permissible to kill all men from the kuffar when a city or a land have been conquered by muslims, there will be men who actually fought against the muslims and there will be some men who never participated in the fight but rather they were just civilians or non combatants who did not resist the muslims advancement into a said city or land, so are these type of men permissible to be killed while advancing or after being captured? I am not talking about old, sick or other types of men mentioned in hadith but men who are capable of fighting and are sane but did not actively participate in war

How do the rules for men travelling alone and women travelling alone differ?

Islam Q&A says that the Prophet "forbade [travelling alone] in several ahaadeeth" without making reference to one's gender (although there is nuance to their post). I also found this post: > In times of insecurity and war, in long journeys, the Prophet, pbuh, ordained that a woman should travel with her husband or a male relative. This was meant to help the woman and to provide security, not to put the woman under the control of her husband... -- Kaukab Siddique , New Trend Mag, 2009. I'm not sure what to make of this.

I’m asking this cuz I told others that u can be but shouldn’t act upon the sin & you can’t tell others that, so if telling people that will I get sins for it or something?

It seems to me that a pious male teenager or adult should be satisfied and patient with the feeling he gets from nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) which are normal and not sinful. If he wants this sexual pleasure more frequently then he should marry. I'm not sure what's the average per month of a wet dream for a normal teenager. It becomes more of a problem if he finds out about masturbation and then starts doing that which is sinful and he can then get that feeling many times in the day rather than say every 2 weeks via a wet dream. How does fasting reduce sexual passion if he doesn't masturbate or know what it is and doesn't look at females in whatever form in the first place as he knows these are sinful?

Muslim men are told to leave the beard and trim the moustache. There is some discussion whether you can trim more than a fistful of the beard. Besides that can you trim the hairs if they are sticking out or growing unequally for example? Or are you just supposed to leave and keep as "tidy" as possible by combing and using beard oil to press the hair together? Secondly can you remove the hair on the neck? Does this constitute the beard area?

It is always stated in Islamic sites that men's awrah is from knees to navel. (for example http://islamqa.info/en/34976 ).
I have searched hadiths about that, and I have found many hadiths about covering thigh, you can see them in the url or in http://sunnah.com/search/?q=thigh , but I have found almost none hadiths that clearly prove that chest (torso, trunk) is not awrah. I have found 1 hadith: http://sunnah.com/tirmidhi/42/45 , in which somebody sees prophet naked in his house.
We can think that if that was awrah, prophet should say about it, and if he did not say, then it is tolerable. But the hadith does not clearly say that prophet did not say about it, we just can think so, because the hadith does not say about it, and since it is important thing, its narrators should not leave that hidden, so we think the prophet did not say anything about that, so we decide it is not awrah. But there is **probability that it was so much clearly known by everybody, that chest is awrah**, so it was even not told in the narration.
Awrah might be exposed by mistake and just who see it might must look at other direction or close his eyes or cover the awrah by hands etc. So, are there any other hadiths which show that some men at time of Muhammad showed their torso for long time and it was allowed or was not prohibited? Ie can you prove or disprove the decision of fakihs that chest is not awrah? Or can you say by hadiths that seems nobody showed his chest so that can be considered as proof that it is awrah? > (Some illustration for that it is decision of fakihs: > http://islamqa.info/en/171584 : "And he said in ash-Sharh al-Kabeer, > 1/457: The navel and the knees are not part of the ‘awrah. This is the > view of Maalik and ash-Shaafa‘i.")
