Yesterday, we went to the mosque to perform Eid ul-Fitr salat prayer, which occurred between fajr (dawn prayer) and zuhr (noon prayer). For some reason, we performed takbir three times at various points during salat. I've never encountered this before, not even at other nearby mosques. **Question**: Why did we do takbir three times during Eid ul-Fitr prayer? In case it matters, it was at the Xining Road Mosque in Tianjin, China (西宁道清真寺 ) which would mostly be Hui Muslims , which I find generally follow the Sunni Hanafi Madhhab (see Gedimu ).

The concern comes from the fact that **Takbir Tahrima** is fard (obligatory) rukn of Salah.

I could see the takbir in all masjids, so I think it wouldn't be an innovation. But, I would like to know, - What is the proper way of saying these Takbirs for Eid? - In my masjid, they are saying Takbir after every prayer for three to four days after Eid. Is it correct? - Does the rules for saying Takbir is same for both Eids? - What should I do if I miss the Jamaath? Should I say Takbir alone?

What should we do when join the salat in the following cases when we are **Masbuk**: 1. while Imaam is in ***qiyam*** [standing]. 2. when we find the Imaam in ***rukoo***. 3. when Imaam is in ***sajdah* or other positions***. Should we just say the takbeer [**الله اكبر**] and join the prayers?
