Why is "doing righteous deeds" not a pillar of Islam?
Doing righteous deeds is mentioned a zillion times in the Qur'an, e.g.: > And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. ... -- [Qur'an 2:25][1] > > ...those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day an...
Doing righteous deeds is mentioned a zillion times in the Qur'an, e.g.: > And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. ... -- Qur'an 2:25 > > ...those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. -- Qur'an 2:62 > > But they who believe and do righteous deeds - those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally. -- Qur'an 2:82 Indeed, on reading the Qur'an, I considered it to among the most important take-home lessons. Instruction to do good deeds occurs with frequency comparable to that of instructions to pray (and they often come together). It seems strange to me that doing good deeds is not, as a result, listed as a pillar of Islam . **Question**: Why is "doing righteous deeds" not a pillar of Islam? I'm not sure how the pillars are determined, and there's a difference between Sunni and Shia pillars (according to Wikipedia). It could possibly be part of "enjoining what is right ", although I'm not clear on this.

Why are there so many uncertainties and differences in performing the Salah? One school says this, another says the other, Some group of people believe this to be true, the other believes something else. Prayer is the second most important pillar of Islam. Why is the subject of Salah mentioned so vaguely in the Qu'ran, I mean, shouldn't the ways and methods of performing Salah be mentioned clearly in the Qu'ran or rather even somewhere else like why didn't the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) decide to write down the rules and regulations of Prayer and preserve it? Instead, we are to be depended on narrations mentioned in the Hadiths which would've been fine if different narrations didn't claim different varieties that contradict each other. (I am not asking this disrespectfully, I have the utmost love and respect for my Prophet (SAW). I have only posted this to gain knowledge and have a better understanding of the issue. May my Lord forgive me for my sins and shortcomings.)

Islamic architecture
Does the architectural style typical of most traditional Mosques represent the five pillars of Islam? Prime example, the four towers in corners and a central point? I don't literally mean "pillars", but symbolic. [![enter image description here][1]][1] [1]: https://i.sstatic.net/oVsU6.jpg

Is it permissible for Muslims to receive subsidy for performing Hajj?
It's a known fact that Hajj is fard only if one is physically and financially able, as the Qurán says it in Al-e-imran : "In it are clear signs, the standing place of Ibrahim, and whoever enters it shall be secure, and pilgrimage to the House is incumbent upon men for the sake of Allah, (upon)...
It's a known fact that Hajj is fard only if one is physically and financially able, as the Qurán says it in Al-e-imran : "In it are clear signs, the standing place of Ibrahim, and whoever enters it shall be secure, and pilgrimage to the House is incumbent upon men for the sake of Allah, (upon) ** > every one who is able to undertake the journey to it **; and whoever disbelieves, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above any need of the worlds." 3:97 but ,my question is "Is Hajj permissible/allowed/halal when the government subsidizes the money required to go to Hajj?" P.S:Hajj is subsidized in India. Ministry of Civil Aviation provides subsidy for air travel to the pilgrims through the Haj Committee of India. The amount on air travel charged per pilgrim during Haj 2014 was Rs. 35,000/-(529.874 US Dollar) whereas the actual air fare ranged from Rs. 63,750(965.13 US Dollar) to Rs. 1,63,350(2473 US Dollar) depending on the embarkation point in India. Edit:No,its not a debt.

What are the beliefs of Islam that are shared across all (or 99.9999%) the varying sects, not including the 5-pillars? Coming from a Christian perspective, we all (mostly) share the same scriptures but we vary on interpretations. However, the Christian beliefs that Jesus was and is God, that he died to pay for the sins of mankind, and that a person placing their faith in Christ will make them holy before God are shared between nearly every culture and denomination. Only a small fraction of controversial self-titled Christian denominations believe outside of this. Islam has a holy text and varying interpretations, but what would the set of core beliefs be for Islam?
