is saying (innaka la tukhliful mi’ad) in the dua after Adhaan is innovation?
This dua is to be recited after adhaan > Allahumma rabba hadhihi-d-da’awati-t-tammati wa-s-Salati-l-qa’imati, > ati Muhammadan il-wasilata wa-l-fadilata (wa-d-darajata-r-rafi’ati) > wa-b‘ath-hu maqamam mahmudan illadhi wa‘adtahu Reference : [Sahih al-Bukhari 614][1] But almost everyone adds this ext...
This dua is to be recited after adhaan
> Allahumma rabba hadhihi-d-da’awati-t-tammati wa-s-Salati-l-qa’imati,
> ati Muhammadan il-wasilata wa-l-fadilata (wa-d-darajata-r-rafi’ati)
> wa-b‘ath-hu maqamam mahmudan illadhi wa‘adtahu
Reference : Sahih al-Bukhari 614
But almost everyone adds this extra verse when reciting that is not part of the dua.
> (innaka la tukhliful mi’ad)
I heard that this is an innovation, since it's not part of the dua. Like some say
sadaqallahul azim
after reciting Quran.
So is saying **(innaka la tukhliful mi’ad)** with that dua an innovation?

Who added the phrase "Salah is better than sleep" to the Fajar azan?
I am a bit confused. 1) someone mentioned that these phrases *salah is better then sleep* were added by umar ibn khattab after Prophet PBUH time and somewhere else it is mentioned with references that hazrat Bilal R.A was adviced by Prophet PBUH to add these phrases only in fajar azaan and not in al...
I am a bit confused. 1) someone mentioned that these phrases *salah is better then sleep* were added by umar ibn khattab after Prophet PBUH time and somewhere else it is mentioned with references that hazrat Bilal R.A was adviced by Prophet PBUH to add these phrases only in fajar azaan and not in all the azans like he used too.
So I want to know
1) if Prophet PBUH was alive and well when these phrases were added in Azan
2) and that were these phrases added by Prophet SAW himself due to Hazrat Umar bin Khattab incident.??
>> (referening to the incident I read where someone said these phrases were added by Umar bin Khattab after Prophet PBUH time when: once when he R.A himself slept through fajar azan and azan reciter came to wake him up and said these phrases and was then asked to add these in every fajar azan for the muslims.)
3) or were these phrases asked to be added by Umar Bin Khattab (in relation to above mentioned incident) after Prophet SAW's time.??

Who and when did this bid'ah for the first time in adhan?
In Sunni Islam adhan (اذان) is as follows: > اَللهُ اَکبَر (4 times) > > اَشهَدُ اَن لا اِلَهَ اِلَّا الله (2 times) > > اَشهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّد رَسُولُ الله (2 times) > > حَیِّ عَلَی الصَّلاة (2 times) > > حَیِّ عَلَی الفَلاح (2 times) > > حَیِّ عَلَی خَیرِالعَمَل (1 time) > > اَللهُ اَکبَر (2 times...

> اَللهُ اَکبَر (2 times)

But in Shia Islam there are execssive parts between two of the parts:
> اَشهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّد رَسُولُ الله (2 times)
>
> **اَشهَدُ اَنَّ عَلِی وَلیُ الله** (1 time)
>
> **اَشهَدُ اَنَّ عَلِی حُجَّةُ الله** (1 time)
>
>حَیِّ عَلَی الصَّلاة (2 times)
The adhan that was recited by the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) and his companions clearly was the Sunni version.
But somewhere in history Shiites did this bid'ah in adhan. Now in Iran I know the Shiite version is recited.
Who and when did this bid'ah?

There were no clocks 1400 years ago, why do we care so much about exact timings of Adhan and prayer, etc time today?

This has been bugging for like a lot lately. back in the day, I mean 14 centuries ago, there were no clocks, etc, people would simply look at the sky and if they felt it was morning or noon or what ever, would say their prayers.
But now a days, for example when fasting or breaking ones fast! we are meticulous about the seconds! and check if the time with extreme measures to see if its time or not!!
IMHO this is too much! and we shouldnt realy care this much about time! Why do we care so much and since when has this been like this ?
Update:
Thanks everyone, some indicated some methods to get a better idea of time, but even with everything you say, looking at shadows, etc, you get a **relative time period** and nothing remotely close to precise timing with a clock down to minutes, and even seconds.
More over, at nights(and dawn etc), there was no means to know what time it was, as it is also noted in Quran in one of verses.
My point is, it obviously was never a big deal or important matter. The relativeness of time was always intended, since, if God wanted precise timing he would command his messenger to create a clock for his followers! so when he didn't, he must have never intended precise timing!

Why does Shia say اشهد ان علیا ولی الله in Adhan (call to prayer)?
Did this practice exist during Prophet's time? Or does this count as an example of unlawful innovation in Islam?

My friend asked me a question if Azaan from the mosque is a call for prayer to the people, then won't a call from a single mosque will do the job? Why does every mosque in the same local vicinity need to make the call for the prayer?

But here it's 21:03, I have checked the prayer times and the last one was more than two hours ago. The call is still going on. It's currently Ramadan, can it be due to that? And what is the content of the call?

How to give adhan in newborn baby's ear?
In few days, I will become a father and I was wondering how to say adhan in the right way? As new baby has a very delicate ear, so does one whisper, or say it out loud but from a distance? Should it be in both ear or just one? Who should be present at the time of adhan?

I am not sure what Iqamah is because I heard calling from the mosque 20 minutes after athan then found out it is Iqamah. Is iqamah a second athan? Or is iqamah calling people to the mosque for congregational prayer? Does iqamah only apply to the mosque?
(Sorry for not understanding. I'm still learning.)

Is the salah valid if prayed at end of time while next athan is calling?
Today I prayed dhuhr at the end of it's time (approximately 3 minutes before the call to prayer of asr salah). Halfway through praying dhuhr salah, I heard the call to prayer of asr. I continued to finish dhuhr and then prayed asr after. Is my dhuhr prayer valid?

I know the possibility of the Imam giving Adha, but can he give the Iqama as well as lead the prayer? I asked him for the reason, he said, what if the people behind can't even say Iqama? Then he can do so. Any thoughts?

Assalamualaikum everyone,
My question is very basic and i need some clarity.
I have an application in my phone which sounds out Allah O Akbar when it's time for a certain salat. But that is mostly a few minutes ahead of local azan. For instance the loacal moazzin sounds recites the asar azan at 5:15, but the app sounds at 5:3 pm.
I'm used to praying at home these days being unable to hear azan mostly an also because of the Covid. My question is, since my phone is always at my side, I'm always alerted to azan timings and following those is more convenient for me. Should i follow them or the moazzin?
Thanks and may Allah bless you all.
