I have seen many folks [especially from hanafi madhab] state that it is a sunnah to recite Surah Yasin after Maghrib on 15th of Shaban after one has returned back home from the graveyards praying for their dead. Where can I find a daleel on the subject?

Is there any reward for reciting the Quran for the dead, especially sura Yaseen. This I find most of them pay to those who recite it, Mostly they will be a group of 3 guys. Reciting Quran among those who do this action is for the person who is dead. Is there any hadeeth to back this action?

As it is relatively considered as a famous issue (that Surah Ya-sin is the heart of Quran), and as a narration, it is quoted that Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: > Everything has a heart, and surah Ya-Sin is the heart of the Quran. > > صدوق، محمد بن على‏، ثواب الاعمال و عقاب الأعمال So, I was wondering which verse of Surah Ya-Sin is considered as the heart of this Surah.

**Is Surah یس (Ya-Sin) the heart of the holy Quran?** Perhaps it is considered as a famous sentence or belief that Surah Ya-Sain as Surah 36 of the holy Quran counted as the heart of the noble Quran. I can remember that someday I saw it as a hadith from Imam Jafar-al-Sadiq (a.s.), but I am not certain if he said that. In other word, I am looking for the source of this famous sentence that > Surah Ya-Sin is considered as the heart of the holy Quran.

Why Allah is introducing him self by using the word we instead of using I? Here I'm adding two Ayaths from surath yaseen 8. Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 9. And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see.

As you are aware, Surah Yasin consists of 88 verses and it begins with Ya, Seem (Yaseen) Yasin: > بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ > > يس (1) والقرآن الحکیم (2) إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِين (3) علی صراط > مستقیم (4) تنزیل العزیز الرحیم > > > > > Ya, Seen. (1) By the wise Qur'an. (2) Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are > from among the messengers, (3) On a straight path. (4) [This is] a > revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, (5) …… > > > ( tanzil.net / 36:1 ) As you see, the initial verse of this Surah is "Yaseen". Its meaning in many translations is written Yaseen too. But I couldn’t find any specific meaning for it (according to an authentic translation). I'd be thankful if anyone says that **what is the exact meaning or interpretation of this verse? (I mean "Yaseen")** *(Note: I'm looking for authentic sources, please)*
