Giving ghusl water to our children to cure evil eye
I am aware of a hadith where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed a person to give his bath water (water he used to wash his body) to another person (I don't know if he was a Sahabi) because it was believed that he gave the other person the evil eye. > Imam Ahmad, Malik, al-Nasai and Ibn Hibban narrat...
I am aware of a hadith where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed a person to give his bath water (water he used to wash his body) to another person (I don't know if he was a Sahabi) because it was believed that he gave the other person the evil eye. > Imam Ahmad, Malik, al-Nasai and Ibn Hibban narrated from Sahl ibn > Hanif that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came > out and traveled with him towards Makkah, until they were in the > mountain pass of al-Kharar in al-Jahfah. There Sahl ibn Hanif did > ghusl (bathed), and he was a handsome white-skinned man with beautiful > skin. ‘Amir ibn Rabi'ah, one of Banu ‘Adiyy ibn Ka'b looked at him > whilst he was doing ghusl and said: “I have never seen such beautiful > skin as this, not even the skin of a virgin,” and Sahl fell to the > ground. They went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of > Allah be upon him) and said, “O Messenger of Allah, can you do > anything for Sahl, because by Allah he cannot raise his head.” He > said, “Do you accuse anyone with regard to him?” They said, “‘Amir ibn > Rabi'ah looked at him.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings > of Allah be upon him) called ‘Amir and rebuked him strongly. He said, > “Why would one of you kill his brother? If you see something that you > like, then pray for blessing for him.” Then he said to him, “Wash > yourself for him.” So he washed his face, hands, forearms, knees and > the sides of his feet, and inside his izar (lower garment) in the > vessel. Then that water was poured over him, and a man poured it over > his head and back from behind. He did that to him, then Sahl got up > and joined the people and there was nothing wrong with him. Classed as > sahih (authentic) by al-Albani in al-Mishkat. Source: https://islamqa.info/amp/en/answers/20954 My question is regarding a different case. Majority of the time, we do not know who the perpetrator of the evil eye is. In such a case, if it is suspected that someone is suffering from the effects of the evil eye, can the parents of the afflicted person give him Ghusl water? Additionally, can we request a pious Muslim to give Ghusl water to someone believed to be affected by the evil eye? Are there any authentic ahadith (like the one in the link above) regarding parents giving their children Ghusl water and/or asking a pious Muslim for ghusl water to ward off evil eye?

Is practicing ruqya prohibited?
I came across this Hadith today: > "Narrated Ibn `Abbas: > > Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Seventy thousand people of my followers > will enter Paradise without accounts, and they are those who do not > **practice** Ar-Ruqya and do not see an evil omen in things, and put their > trust in their Lord."...

Sahih al-Bukhari 6472 My earlier understanding was that it is not recommended to explicitly go to some "pir" or "murshad" to seek ruqya. But one was allowed to learn the duas and perform it on oneself or on someone else before they explicitly out of desperation seek for it. But the above Hadith even includes those "practice" it. Please clarify on the tafsir of this Hadith.

Are these Quranic verses on this amulet or something satanic?
My mother went somewhere for ruqya and they gave this for adding to the water we drink. I am not good at reading Arabic hand-written like this. My mother went somewhere for ruqya and they gave this for adding to the water we drink. I am not good at reading Arabic hand-written like this. So I want to confirm if this is something from the Quran or God forbid something haram (in which case we should throw it away), as we don't really know the person who gave it to us. It has been sitting in my purse for a while. I know it starts with BismiAllah-i-Rahman-i-Raheem. I understand this much. Is that a Quranic verse after? I want to make sure that it is all Quran. _____________________________ JazakAllah khair for the comments. It has been indicated in some comments that it is not a part of islam that we write things on paper and add to drinking water. **But I do believe and have always felt that the word of Allah brings so much barakah in one's life. Also, I keep worrying that if I am not protected by Allah for less than a nanoseond (or smallest), shaitaan will harm me as he is such a shitshow beyond words. I feel a lot of anxiety in this regard.** However, since it is not Quran, how and where should I discard it? enter image description here

But you see I didn’t knew about ruqya stuff and it’s effects since I was kid.

Exorcisms are conducted within some branches of Christianity (Roman Catholicism), and is common within Hinduism. I believe there is also the practice of ruqya which summons jinn and demons by invoking the names of God, in order to command them to abandon their mischiefs and to repair damage that may have been caused by jinn possession, witchcraft (sihr) or the evil eye. Are exorcisms permitted within Islam? If so, under whose authority are the jinns cast out?

I now would like to do ruqya on myself just in case there might be jinn in me even after all these years, but the issue is I don't know how to read quran: surah al baqara.
