Is it true that certain diseases are systematically avoided by Christian faith healers when praying for healing? If so, why?

The left list includes conditions that Christian faith healers consistently never cure, while the right list features conditions they are more willing to pray for, with more frequent claims of healing. Or at least, that's what the video's author claims. enter image description here Is there any truth to this, and if so, why?

Christian healing ministries abound. A quick search on any search engine can lead to lots of ministries that claim to be able to heal the sick, as well as testimonials of people who claim to have received healing of some ailment during a healing crusade, or because someone prayed for them, etc. I'm not questioning the sincerity of all people nor claiming that everyone is lying, on the contrary, I truly believe that a significant percentage of the testimonies out there must be genuine, in the sense that people are telling the truth when they share their personal experiences of healing. That said, I'm still curious to know if any Christian healing ministry out there has undertaken the effort of documenting at least some of their healings, by keeping copies of the medical records of the healed person and the results of a subsequent medical examination confirming that the person is completely healed. Has a Christian healing ministry ever done that? _______________________ Responding to concerns raised in the comments: By healing ministry I mean either an individual or a group of people who claim to have the gift of healing or to have been called by God to heal the sick as an active occupation. However, for the sake of getting answers, other medically documented cases of healing occurred in similar circumstances are acceptable too, such as: - A holy place where people are commonly reported to get miraculously healed. - Someone who gets prayed for (and healed) by someone else and has the medical records to prove it (in this case the healed person is the one with the evidence, not the healing ministry, but that's fine). - And any other situation that is close to what I'm looking for that I may be overlooking.

How do Continuationists respond to the "go empty hospitals" objection against the gift of healing?
An objection that I've heard many times from both atheists and Cessationists against the gift of healing is the following: > If the gift of healing is for today, why don't we see faith healers emptying hospitals? Shouldn't it be very easy for a person with the gift of healing to go to a hospital and...

Shouldn't it be very easy for a person with the gift of healing to go to a hospital and start healing people left and right? It would make it on the news and everyone would be able to know about it. How do Continuationists respond to this objection?

If the name of God and His Son are so important to the faith, then would it not be imperative that we use the proper name?

In order to appropriately answer the question, in my opinion there are few things to consider. First, there are those that have argued that the pronunciation of the name is not important and is permissible to be used in any language. However, if the LORD gave His name and pronounced His Name and at the sound of that name every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that _________ is Lord, then wouldn't it make sense that the name and pronunciation of the name be the same? I have been in countries where the language is not mine own but my name was pronounced in my native language, so it just make sense for us to do the same to be on one accord. Secondly, if it is the **name** that saves, casts out demons, heals the sick, raises the dead and expels demons and makes them tremble, shouldn't we spend time getting it right?

For some time I've been interested in the topic of Christian revivals throughout history. In particular, Argentina stands out in my opinion during the second half of the 20th century with a track record of very notable revivals involving massive healing crusades. The one that amazes me the most is the one that took place in 1954 with Tommy Hicks, which I only knew about from informal sources [until very recently](https://history.stackexchange.com/questions/62323/did-argentine-president-juan-peron-grant-free-access-to-the-radio-the-press-and) . What I find fascinating about this revival is the fact that Tommy Hicks managed to convince Argentine president Juan Peron to grant him free access to the press, the radio and **the permission to hold a massive healing crusade in the Atlanta and Huracán soccer stadiums**, which several sources affirm were full to overflow with people (see the previous link for details). Another example is [Carlos Annacondia](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001NEK9Y4/) , a very popular Argentine revivalist preacher who was very active during the 80s and 90s in Argentina first, and abroad later. In [this video](https://youtu.be/qufaIjLbyFE?t=121) you can see him preaching to a whole stadium in what appears to be a healing crusade in China. Lastly, Claudio Freidzon had his fair share of soccer stadium renting and massive healing crusades during the 90s in Argentina, as evidenced by [these](https://youtu.be/QVxqPuT7OxI?t=1027) [videos](https://youtu.be/6MmNKb19AdA) . **My question**: How did the practice of holding massive healing crusades in large stadiums, arenas or similar spaces begin? How has it evolved over the course of history? What are the denominations most frequently involved in this practice?

Every so often, I read about Christian parents choosing faith healing over conventional medicine for their sick children, in some cases with lethal results. This usually results in the parents being convicted of either severe neglect or manslaughter. (Rightfully so, in my opinion) I know there are several accounts of miraculous healing mentioned in the Bible, and I don't see a problem with prayer _in addition_ to medicine, but **what is the justification for opting to rely on prayer alone?** Is the answer different when it's an adult making the choice for themselves rather than for their child?

Troubled people showing interest in reading the Bible: how to explain to them that faith is a lifestyle and not an "ATM"?

I get that often. I meet a lot of people who have some sort of troubles in their life and they show interest in reading the Bible to heal themselves. However, the majority of these people just approach the Bible in the same way they approach an "ATM" machine, and they think that "if God exists" they should just "ask for a matter" and "God should provide in a button press". How to explain to those friends that: - Faith is a lifestyle; it requires a one on one relationship with God - Faith is by giving your life to God and trust His way of guiding you even though you cannot always understand how God thinks, and His ways. - Faith is not only by asking, but also by giving to others and not being selfish - God WILL provide at the right time, the right moment IF what they are asking for is actually what God thinks is beneficial for them. How to help people to get out of the materialistic ways of approaching something pure and divine like the Bible and understand there will be easy and hard days through faith? Update:
Even though I do not agree on all (more details at the end of the update) that was mentioned in the accepted answer, but the solution David Stratton gave which is: >All we can do with those who have been taught the modern gospel is to take them to Scripture and tell them the truth. Is in my opinion the correct way to do it. Show the scripture then explain it in a spiritual way so that they stop thinking with a materialistic brain. What were the points in his answer that i had some comments about?
- I do believe God is love "God is love, come to Him and He will fix your broken marriage, drug problem, financial woes, etc.) " If you build a relationship with him and give him your life and all the steps you make. The Bible says: >"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - God is happiness, religion should not be only a feeling of guilt that we are sinners who deserve hell. of course we are sinners, but that is why Jesus died on the cross to forgive all our sins, and thus we may live and be happy and prosper: > "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. " So God does want us to enjoy and help others enjoy life BUT we need a one on one relationship; i.e, every step that we do we must tell him "I put it between your hands and you decide what should happen"
