How could Prophets Lut and Nuh marry disbelievers when it's forbidden?
[Qur'an 66:10][1] says "Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. ...". Qur'an 66:10 says "Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. ...". However, it is forbidden for a Muslim man to marry a disbeliever:
> It is permissible for a Muslim man to marry a non-Muslim woman if she is Christian or Jewish, but it is not permissible for him to marry a non-Muslim woman who follows any religion other than these two. -- Islam Q&A
And to my knowledge, this is a typical opinion.
I'm trying to figure out how these two items fit together. Perhaps Qur'an 66:10 means that they're wives were people of the book. Or perhaps this rule didn't apply during the time of Prophets Lut and Nuh.

Why was Lot (PBUH) told not to look back when the angels were destroying Sodom and Gomorrah?
Why was it so important not to look back?

Did two or three angels visit Prophet Lut and Ibrahim?

whereas Hadith of the Day writes:
> The three angels – said to have been Jibrael AS, Mikael AS and Israfil AS – then arrived at the outskirts of Lut’s AS town in the form of very handsome human beings.
Which is it? I tried to read Qu'ran and it said "the angels".

The following answer suggests the possibility that "homosexuality" during the time of Prophet Lut is distinct from modern-day "homosexuality".
> ... there is no way to know if the homosexuality of the past referenced is the homosexuality of today classified by psychological associations ...
>
> As the basis that the homosexuality described in the people of Lut story, is the same as homosexuality defined by today's society is [an] assumption, and a weak one at that.
> Opcode's answer (score +3, accepted) to Is it permissible to conduct research on homosexuality?
The evidence given to substantiate this claim is anecdotal and unreferenced (saying some heterosexual people engage in homosexual sex), and it's unclear (to me) how this evidence even connected to the claim. Essentially, this question is a check of the above claim:

From Prophet Adam (pbuh) to Prophet Muhammadh sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, can anyone provide the lineage of all the prophets, whichever is available with you.
I heard recently in a speech, that Prophet Lut (pbuh) is a nephew of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh), and they lived during the same period, and Angels came down with a good news of a son for Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh), and at the same time announced the punishment for the people of Prophet Lut (pbuh). I am not sure of this relation. Please also correct me if it is actually Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) to whom the angels were sent during the period of Prophet Lut(pbuh).
Is it possible to get the details of who is nephew of whom and who is son of whom of the prophets, and all the relations among them?

Where does it say that the angels sent to Prophet Lut appeared like handsome young boys?
I've seen this claim repeatedly, so it's probably correct: > Then **two angels in the disguise of handsome young boys came to Lot**, who became distressed knowing the character of the people, and feeling himself powerless to protect the visitors; he said, "This is a distressful day." -- [Lot in Isla...

> Then **two angels in the disguise of handsome young boys came to Lot**, who became distressed knowing the character of the people, and feeling himself powerless to protect the visitors; he said, "This is a distressful day." -- Lot in Islam , Wikipedia
The same claim is repeated at these sites: IslamWeb , Noor-i-Islam (pdf ), IslamicLandmarks , Islam101 , QuestionsOnIslam , although some say "young men" instead of "young boys".
**Question**: Where does it say that the angels sent to Prophet Lut appeared like handsome young boys?
Wikipedia's (broken) link is for Qur'an 11:77 ; this ayah does not describe the angels as "handsome young boys" (although one of the translations there [Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri] repeats the "handsome" part of the claim). Googling
site:quran.com handsome
, site:quran.com lut boys
, and site:sunnah.com lut handsome
doesn't seem to work. Using the search function on Quran.com (e.g. handsome young men
didn't yield anything relevant either.

I've been searching through Muslim texts, looking for authentic, well-established proof that Prophet loot's townsmen were homosexuals.
So far, I couldn't find anything that clearly mentions such. The Quran doesn't say they did homosexuality, rather Allah uses the term 'fahisha.'
And another thing is, if they were destroyed for homosexuality, than why was his wife also?
I suspect that people are basing their conclusions based on Biblical references and not Islamic.
Hence, does anyone know of any Islamic evidence clearly stating they were homosexuals?
