As an answer to the Quranic challenge "if you are in doubt of what We have revealed to Our Messenger, then produce one chapter like it", an Arabic christian wrote a book called "the true Furqan". Now, on Islam Stack Exchange there is a list of 6 criteria that must be met before any book can be said to be possibly answering that challenge. They are: 1-a deep and profound affect on the heart, which moves many to convert on the spot.2-divine revelation of scientific knowledge unknown by man untill much later. 3-perfect historical accuracy.4-an intricate, beautiful ring structure. 5-miraculous revelation which, as to the symbols, wisdom, and text, is ongoing. 6-being the most beautiful book known to man.
I am no expert, but I have been told several times that the Injil of Isa meets each of these standards. Would someone please read the Injil and explain to me whether this is so?

Has anyone historically accepted and tried Allah's challenge?

The Qur'an challenges people to bring something similar to it.
All of the people I know including myself read these verses and think "then this is a divine book, because nobody can bring something similar".
Do we have any historical record of a person or group actually accepting that challenge, spending time and energy on it, (and failing of course) after delivering their writings which have persisted till now.
Please note that I've seen this question already:
https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/20245/challenge-of-the-quran
My question is not about **why** but about historical evidence.

Challenge of the quran
“If you are in doubt of what We have revealed to Our Messenger, then produce one chapter like it, call upon all your helpers, besides Allah, if you are truthful.” Surah al-Baqarah (The Heifer) 2: 23. “Or do they say: “He (Prophet Muhammad, ) has forged it (this Qur’an)?” Nay!
They believe not! Let them then produce a recitation like it (the Qur’an) if they are truthful.” Surah at-Toor (The Mount) 52: 33-34.
The challenge of the Quran, to create even a single chapter like it. To match its eloquence and grammar. Please enligthen me as to why this is impossible. Not being an arabic speaker i cannot speak to this. However i have read many books in english that are gramatically correct and very elegant in their use of language.

In 1999, a Christian evangelist named Anis Shorosh wrote a book called "The True Furqan" and claimed that it beats the Quran's challenge that it is inimitable. Now some Arabs have actually agreed that it meets the challenge, while others disagreed. Given the fact that I don't understand Arabic, I can't really judge.
But if you can read Arabic, what do you think? I want an unbiased answer. Should Muslims be worrying about "The True Furqan"?

What is the minimum qualification to interpret Mutashabihat (allegorical) ayas in Quran?
Quran 3:7 states that certain ayas are allegorical (mutashâbihât) and others are literal (muhkamât): > [003.007][1] He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical....
Quran 3:7 states that certain ayas are allegorical (mutashâbihât) and others are literal (muhkamât):
> 003.007 He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding."
I was trying to interpret some allegorical ayas when I read this surah and the level of understanding requirement.
What is the benchmark or threshold of this qualification if it exists?

The Quran challenges the non-believers in Chapter Number 2 Verse 23 to bring a surah like the Quran. What I cannot understand is that Quran is the truth but an article related to ethics or science or about any knowledge can also be true. How is a surah unique and stands out from any other true literature.
I wonder if the second part of the ayah has the answer to my question.
> وادعوا شهداءكم من دون الله ان كنتم صدقين
Hope i have made my point clear.
